Finally
The thunder crashed together with the sound of cymbals causing a bolt fear to strike throughout Sarah's body. She knew she was doomed, for there he was standing before her in all his glory. Through the pounding rain, Sarah could make out how his uncovered chest heaved unevenly. He seemed frozen in the same kill position she had found him in. The sword covered in the blood of his once loyal subject. Sarah didn't remember how she came upon this scene. All she remembered was the regret of saying her right words and the dread that he may now hate her forever. Now here she was faced with the one man who Sarah thought hated her with a passion.
"What are you waiting for" she screamed over the cries of the rain.
"Kill Me" she shrieked.
He just stared at her with his piercing mismatched eyes.
….
He questioned himself. Why didn't he just kill her and get on with his everlasting life? What was it about her that stirred such strange emotions in him? He found out quickly that she was the only girl to induce strong emotions from him. He glanced at the girl in front of him.
'Woman' he thought to himself, 'she is no longer a child'.
His heart nearly collapsed when she shouted 'kill me'. In his mind, he knew that he could never do such a thing. Jareth, the almighty Goblin King, trembled at the thought of Sarah lying there in the storm looking pale broken and lifeless. He sheathed his sword and slowly advanced toward her. He could see the violent shivers that raked through her body with every step. Finally, Jareth paused in front of Sarah, noting that his own body shook with suppressed emotion. Cautiously, he raised one hand to lay on her shoulder and the other to grasp her soft chin. Then hesitantly, he bent his head and met her lips with a tentative touch. Sarah found herself melting into the heat of his soft kiss. Finally the passion that had been brewing since their first encounter had been released.
