The Unforgotten Memoirs Saga: Evolution

ONE-SHOT: CHAPTER 0A – UNPRECEDENTED DESTRUCTION

Darkness.

What sensations arise when you find yourself enveloped in it? Is it fear that courses through your veins? Anger stemming from feelings of abandonment? Or perhaps it manifests as a profound emptiness, a hollow void simmering with despair?

For some, however, darkness is not a prison; it becomes a playground, a realm where anomalies flourish in the shadows, embracing the void as if it were an old friend.

Now, let me pose a thought-provoking question: What truly defines our humanity?

Is it our flesh and blood? Our capacity for thought and choice? No, those characteristics do not distinguish us. Even the creatures we summon into existence share these traits.

Perhaps it is our ability to extend kindness, our inherent desire to do good in the world. Yet again, I argue that this notion falls short. Kindness can often serve as a facade, a comforting lie we tell ourselves to mask our true nature.

What ultimately defines us is our capacity to commit acts of evil while cloaking ourselves in the guise of virtue. We wage wars, destroy lives, and pillage resources—all while proclaiming righteousness as our banner. We lust for power, masking our greed with the hollow promise of serving "the greater good."

Animals are simpler, more transparent in their motives. When they kill, their reasons are clear and instinctual. But humanity? We are far worse—demons wearing smiles, concealing our monstrous sides beneath a veneer of civility. Like the moon, we reveal only our light, deliberately hiding our darker truths.

When you catch a glimpse of that darkness, you come to a harrowing realization: we are, in fact, the very embodiment of evil. Do you not see the truth in that?

"Yin-Yang Release: Cataclysm," Naruto's voice echoed through the storm-darkened sky, its weight carrying an ominous finality. He raised his palm toward the heavens, his hand trembling with raw, concentrated chakra. Around him, the world seemed to hold its breath in collective terror, the air thick with an unsettling stillness. Thunder rumbled ominously in the distance, each strike of lightning carving jagged scars across the sky, while the horizon twisted into a blood-red hue, unnatural and foreboding.

The day was devoured by an onslaught of darkness. In a moment that defied reason itself, the sun was eclipsed, replaced by a pale, haunting moon. It was as if the very fabric of reality had bent to Naruto's will, surrendering to the chaos that now reigned.

He stood like a beacon of destruction amidst the storm, his presence commanding the battlefield, a figure so terrifying that even the most battle-hardened shinobi faltered. His golden chakra illuminated the bloodstained earth, casting long shadows across the petrified faces of his comrades and enemies alike.

Then, with a blinding burst of light, Naruto unleashed a beam that tore through the sky like a divine judgment. It cleaved through the thick clouds, its brilliance illuminating the desolate landscape for miles. The sheer magnitude of the spectacle was incomprehensible, freezing everyone in place—including the Kage, who could only watch in silent awe.

"What… what is that?!" a terrified shinobi choked out, his voice trembling, unable to peel his eyes away from the cataclysmic display unfolding above.

Naruto's voice cut through the fear like a blade through flesh, calm yet filled with an eerie finality. "The first alignment."

The words hung in the air, a prelude to annihilation.

Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion.

With a swift, effortless motion, Naruto swung his arm downward, unleashing a colossal blade of pure, radiant light. The beam crashed toward the earth with a deafening roar, and the battlefield trembled violently beneath its force. The light severed the opposing army in an instant, cutting through the ranks like fragile paper before an unstoppable fire.

The shockwave that followed was immense, reshaping the very landscape itself. A massive chasm ripped through the ground, so vast and deep that it rendered the battlefield unrecognizable. From above, the devastation appeared surreal—Konoha had been cleaved in two. The earth groaned under the weight of the destruction as debris, bricks, and rubble fell like rain, shattering the once-familiar streets and homes. The village's very foundation had been torn asunder.

"ARGH!" came the agonized scream of a Sunagakure shinobi, his legs severed cleanly, the wound cauterized by the sheer intensity of Naruto's chakra. Around him, the battlefield was littered with the mutilated remains of his comrades—bodies strewn about like forgotten dolls, some reduced to nothing but dark stains on the earth.

"What the hell...?" Kiba gasped, his voice cracking as he stared wide-eyed at the carnage, barely able to comprehend the magnitude of what he had just witnessed. His breath hitched in disbelief. "Was that... Naruto?"

Beside him, Hinata stood in shock, her heart racing in her chest. The devastation, the sheer power radiating from Naruto—it was beyond anything she could have imagined. She couldn't tear her eyes from him, her mind struggling to grasp the truth of what he had become.

Sasuke's Sharingan flared to life, desperate to make sense of the situation, but even his vision was overwhelmed. He cursed under his breath, frustration mounting as he realized the depth of Naruto's transformation. I can't even trace his chakra... His thoughts raced. Is it suppressed, or is it just so dense that it's beyond comprehension?

Across the battlefield, a shinobi cradled the lifeless body of a woman, her flesh burned beyond recognition. The stench of charred flesh clung to the air like a heavy fog. "Miyuki!" the man screamed, his voice hoarse with grief. His anguished cries filled the silence as Kankuro, shaking and trying to maintain composure, shouted at him to move, to leave the dead behind. But the man was lost in despair, unable to escape the gravity of his loss.

As if the heavens themselves mirrored the anguish below, the sky grew darker still, the air thrumming with an impending sense of doom. The ground quaked beneath their feet, cracks splintering through the earth like a web of broken promises.

Kankuro's eyes narrowed, his pulse quickening. Not again… not this devastation, not again!

Naruto stood at the epicenter of the destruction, his eyes briefly locking with Hiruzen's across the chaos. There was no warmth in the glance, only cold, detached purpose. His voice carried once more, a grim proclamation that sent a wave of dread through all who heard it.

"The second alignment."

Every word was laced with finality. This was no ordinary battle—this was something far more terrifying. It was as if Naruto had become a force of nature, his unrelenting quest for peace now wielded like a weapon, indifferent to the cost. The ground trembled once more, the sky rumbling ominously in response to the immense chakra building within him. The battlefield waited, helpless, for what was to come next.

Somewhere in the back of their minds, every shinobi understood—they were witnessing the true power of Uzumaki Naruto. This was no longer a war fought with strategy or shinobi arts; this was annihilation delivered by a man whose path to peace had become so absolute, it demanded the destruction of everything in its wake.

The world would soon bear witness to the full, unrestrained force of Uzumaki Naruto.

And no one would be spared.
