A/N: I loved last night's episode. I really did. But there was one scene that needed to be changed, and this is it. Please enjoy! And leave a review if you have the time :D

What If It Doesn't Have to Be Over

"We need to talk."

Felicity felt her heart sink. "I don't want to talk. Which for me I know is a little unprecedented. But as soon as we talk, it's over."

"What if…" Oliver paused as he turned to face her. He wasn't sure if he could make this step. But he wasn't sure if he could live with himself if he didn't. After all he had been through, after all she had done for him, after what she had come to mean to him, Oliver wasn't sure he could let Felicity go without some sort of fight.

"What if what, Oliver?" she asked quietly.

"What if it didn't have to be over?"

Felicity felt her heart skip a beat. "What?"

"What if," he paused and took her hand. "What if we could make this work?"

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that I'm tired having to choose between being just the Arrow or just Oliver Queen," he explained as he took her hands. "I'm saying that I want to be both, because you make me want to be both. And I'm not saying that this is going to be easy. I have no home, no fortune. Hell, I don't even think I know who Oliver Queen is anymore… but there is one thing that I do know."

"…and what is that?" Felicity asked, almost afraid to speak to loudly as though that would break the spell.

"I know that I meant what I said that night we took down Slade."

"You meant it?" she asked. "I wasn't sure, I mean, I hoped that you did, but then when it was clear that it was all part of a plan…"

"I did mean it. I love you Felicity Smoak, and being with you makes me feel happy, which is something that I haven't felt for a really, really long time."

Felicity let out a small giggle and hugged him. "Oh you have no idea how glad I am to hear you say that. What made you change your mind? I mean, I'm really glad that you changed your mind but after the restaurant you seemed so certain and—"

"It was Sara," Oliver said softly. "She told me that I need people in my life who don't wear masks. She also told me once that I need someone who brings out the light in me. You Felicity are that light."

"Oh Oliver!" Felicity stood on her tip toes and kissed him, the way that she had always wanted to kiss him. When she finally pulled away, she realized that her heart belonged completely to him. "You know that I love you too… don't you."

Oliver smiled. "I was hoping that you'd feel the same."

"Well I do," she said with such utter certainty. "I love you. I will always love you."

"And I, will always love you." Oliver said as he kissed her once more.
