Chapter 6

Nala's POV

Kagome and I froze, "Executions?" Kagome asked slowly putting the pieces together why demons couldn't be found in this time.

"Yes central 46 declared that demons were a threat to the souls of the living and the dead after demons started utilizing the power to devour souls to survive. They are the reasons hollows even exist today."

We weren't really listening though. 'Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Shippo, Kirara, Koga…. Everyone just gone…'

"How... long ago?" Kagome was shaking from sadness or rage I couldn't tell.

"400 years ago, it is one of the courses in the academy to explain the creation of hollows and why they are the way they are." It was Rukia who answered. But it was the wrong answer.

"400…. Years…" the look Kagome got on her face was heartbreaking but I'm sure I didn't look much better. All of our friends, gone. Shippo didn't even get a chance to truly grow up. I grabbed Kagome's hand, squeezing it to let her know she wasn't alone. Sometimes the nostalgia was too much for us, her missing Inuyasha and myself missing all the friends I made. My stomach suddenly dropped. Kagome and Inuyasha's kids…. I felt sick.

"Oh dear kami." was all I could get out.

"You do understand what this means correct? Your illegal. Your very existence is forbidden." Urahara said from behind his fan. "So what are we gonna do?"

"You are NOT hurting Nala!" Uryu exclaimed.

"We may not have a choice in the matter Uryu." Urahara turned to face my brother, "It all depends on what the soul reapers are willing to report to the head captain." He turned to Toshiro. "So?"

Toshiro lowered his head, thinking. What was going on? Demons real? It didn't make any sense…

So yep here it is. I know it's been a while and this is really short but finals are today and I only had a little time to look through my docs and found this. I thought that is was a nice cliff hanger to leave you guys with... Muwahahaha! What will Toshiro do?

In regards to updates: with summer coming up I should be able to update a bit more but I make no promises... College is tough. I am gonna put the warning in now though, starting in the fall updates are gonna get REALLY slow even nonexistent for a while cause my coming terms are gonna be crazy busy. But I will try to update as much as I can because writing is soothing to me.
