For a moment Sakura thought she hadn't heard right, so she asked her to repeat the question.

"I'm sorry Sarada, what was that?"

Her only daughter let out a noisethat was kind of like a mixture between a whine and a groan.

"Mama! I asked what a valentine was?"

That caused her to look up from the medical textbook she was reading to the six year old seated before her. She had her cheeks puffed out in that adorable fashion she does whenever she's slightly annoyed. Clearly not knowing was bothering her.

"Sarada, why do you want to know what a valentine is?" she questioned.

After being taken a back for a moment from receiving a question for her answer, Sarada began "well today at school Aburame-sensei had us make valentine cards and he told us to give them to our valentine tomorrow for Valentine's Day, but I don't know what a valentine is or who mine is!" Sarada finished with worry lines itched on her face.

Sakura slightly nodded as she took the child's rambling in, deeming it appropriate to give Sarada the information she seeks.

"Typically on Valentine's Day, people give each other Valentine's Day cards to one another. The recipient of said card is your valentine."

After receiving a nod from her child she continued, "Your valentine is someone that you care for and love very deeply."

"Does it have to be a boy cause all the other girls in class said they were giving it to a boy," she said as a look of disgust crossed her face.

"It can be whoever you want it to be."

This only seemed to make her furrow her brows even more.

"That is of course, you can think of a boy you would like to give it to?" Sakura stated as she leaned in towards her baby girl.

The faint blush that spread across her cheeks was all the answer Sakura needed.

It was a little before dawn when Sasuke had got up for his morning training session. After doing his business in the bathroom and getting dressed, he placed a quick kiss on Sakura's head and made to exit their bedroom but stopped short when he saw something wedged underneath the door.

Taking a moment to pick it up he was slightly taken aback when he realized it was an envelope addressed to him. While the sender had omitted their name he instantly recognized it as his princess's handwriting.

Opening up the envelope he took out the bright red card that was located inside. The outside of the card contained many hand drawn hearts of all different sizes, colors and shapes with a "Happy Valentines Day" scrawled across the middle.

Opening the card up he found the inside contained the same hand drawn hearts but had a much different wording on the right side of the card. It was a question that made his heart clench.

'Papa, will you be my valentine?'

He wasn't too sure how long he actually stood there looking at the card, but when the first rays of sunlight started to stream in through their bedroom window, he deemed it an appropriate enough time to visit his local flower shop.

A/N: I know this is uber short and I normally only post drabbles like this on Tumblr, but I've been getting a few complaints lately. Please favorite/review to let me know what you think and I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Valentines Day weekend!
