Author's Note: I loved the movie and I've always loved Spongebob. This is a continuation to 'The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water'. Things couldn't have gone back to normal after those events. Not completely at least. Something has changed deep within our lovable sponge and our nefarious Plankton.

The Story Goes On.

~Sponge Out of Water~

Kyle, the adorable little bird sighed. This was awful. He knew that the story ended but…he couldn't help but feel that there was more to it! There had to be more right?

Now Kyle was a bright little bird. A good kid. He made his poops where they wouldn't be seen and he got all his gold stickers! He loved to hear stories! Especially the ones about his hero Spongebob Squarepants. Those were his absolute favorite!

But now the story was over and the book was destroyed so they couldn't hear anymore!

Even if they had the book the pirate man probably wouldn't read it to him or the other birds. Although Burger Beard did have a soft spot for little Kyle.

Still it was plain and simple. No book, no story.

Kyle frowned harder, adding the finishing touches to his drawing in the sand. He used his stick to draw the frown on his picture of Spongebob. Next to it he drew a broken heart…

Another older bird landed next to him to see how he was going. The kid had been spending a lot of time away from the flock! "Hey Kyle what's wrong little man?" The bird with the deep voice put a wing on Kyle's shoulder.

"Oh it's nothing that's all." Kyle said.

"Don't sound or look like nothing." The adult deep voiced bird replied. He noticed the drawing in the sand. "Now what's that there?"

"Just a pictwure." Kyle said in his cute little voice.

"Doesn't look too happy."

"It's nawt." Kyle lowered his stick. "The stowwy's over and I can't hear anymore."

"Who says you can't?" The deep voiced older bird replied.

"Well the book is destwoyed and Mr. pirate probabwy won't read anymore." The little bird said.

"We'll just see about that." The older bird flew off, leading Kyle after him. He landed in front of Burger Beard who'd been sitting in the sand and staring sadly out at the ocean. "Hey we need a story continuation over here!" He demanded.

"Excuse me?" Burger Beard huffed at the bird.

"Kyle here wants to hear more and you better tell it!" The deep voiced bird demanded.

Kyle stood off to the side hopefully but embarrassed.

"I cannot read to you." Burger Beard said.

"And why not?" The older bird demanded.

"I do not want to!" Burger Beard exclaimed. Why should he read anything? He was stranded on this deserted island…with all these talking and singing birds! It was horrible!

"Fellas we got us a situation!" The deep voiced bird announced and in seconds Burger Beard was surrounded by birds flying over him, all showing their rear ends. They'd let lose if he didn't read!

"Ah! Hey hey!" Burger Beard cried to get them to stop. "Even if I wanted to read to you I could not! The book is destroyed and I have no paper or ink." The pirate huffed. He did however have plenty of feathers for writing utensils. These stupid birds.

"Aw it's okay Mr. Pirate…" Kyle looked down. He already knew that he wouldn't be getting his story continuation. "I understand…"

"Kyle." Burger Beard frowned. "You know I would read to you…" He loved the little bird. He never wanted to say no to him but they had no book and there was no other one on the island. The pirate couldn't even write himself off the island. He'd searched the whole place for another magic book. He found none. Though he was quite grateful…but he'd never admit that to anyone…that the birds chose to stay with him here until a way was found for him to get un-stranded.

Still fate was against them. There was no magic book, some of the birds flew everyday to civilization in search of some way to get Burger Beard off the island. Without success.

Fate was working against them…or so they thought…

"Yeah I know Mr. Pirate. I'll just go back over there." Kyle flapped his wings, starting to go back to his corner by the tree when-

"WAIT!" A voice boomed from up above. The sky opened up in a triangle as a magic dolphin with a cape flew down to them. Bubbles? Bubbles had come!

Kyle flapped in place, staring in amazement. "Wow!"

"You?" Burger Beard said, confused but annoyed. He didn't much like the dolphin. It had helped him be foiled by that yellow sponge… "What are you doing here?"

"I am here to he-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-" Bubbles tried to say. "-to he-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-" The dolphin cleared his throat and finally got it out. "I am here to help!"

Burger Beard narrowed his eyes. "Why would you help me…" He was a bad man, a villain, played by Antonio Banderas. Why would this dolphin dedicated to helping the universe help him?

"I am not here for you. Hmmh. I am here for young K-K-K-Kyle! He has wished for you to be able to leave this island! He wants it even more than the continuation to the story!" Bubbles announced.

"That is ridiculous!" Burger Beard exclaimed. "Spongebob is his FAVORITE story! Why would he choose my freedom over it?"

"I don't know but he does." Bubbles said. "You are a jerk."

Burger Beard glared at the magic dolphin. "And YOU are a giant FISH!" He exclaimed, pointing a finger at the dolphin.

"Well I s-s-s-s-s-SAY!" Bubbles huffed.

"You're not a jerwk Mr. Pirate." Kyle hopped up on the pirate's knee. "You're my friend and you don't deserve this. You should go home."

Burger Beard was touched and he smiled slightly. "Oh Kyle…you are a good kid." Then like the selfish man he was he pushed Kyle off his leg and stood up. "Okay! Let's go! Home!" He demanded the dolphin. He was ready to get out of here!

"N-n-not so fast!" Bubbles said. "First there is something you must do!"

Burger Beard narrowed his eyes. "Something…like what." He dared to ask.

Bubbles used up his powers to summon up another book! Just like the one from before!

"The book!" Kyle exclaimed in an excited gasp.

"It is a new book. Hot off the presses!" Bubbles said and made the book land in the pirate's hands.

"And what do you want me to do with this?" Burger Beard asked.

"I w-w-want you to read to this young boy." The magic dolphin nodded over to little Kyle.

"R-really?" Kyle asked. He was beyond happy but… It wasn't right to bargain with someone's freedom like that. "O-oh it's okay Mr. Pirate. You don't have to continue…" The young bird wasn't selfish at all.

"Kyle…" Burger Beard frowned. He was shocked….Okay maybe he could care less. He smiled again and said. "You are a good kid!" He ruffled the little bird's head painfully! "Let us go back to civilization!" The selfish pirate rubbed his hands together and looked expectantly at the dolphin.

"That is enough!" Bubbles glared at the mean man. "You will-" the dolphin stuttered. "-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-READ this book to this young bird! Or you will NOT return home!" He used his powers to open the book without it being touched. It opened to a certain page. "Now read!"

"I do not have to read if I don't want to." Burger Beard challenged.

"Then I do not have to send you home." Bubbles huffed. It was as simple as that.

The pirate groaned and huffed in anger and annoyance. Read? Read this stupid book? Fine! The sooner he did the sooner he would leave this island!

"Fine!" Burger Beard exclaimed. "I will read this book…"

Kyle had a big smile on his beak! The book would be read! He could hear the rest of the story..!

Burger Beard looked down at the page and scowled. "I cannot read this. It is a song introduction!"

"Then you will sing." Bubbles nodded.

Burger Beard glared harsher at the dolphin. "I want to can you and put you on bread with mayonnaise."

Bubbles huffed and sent a laser shooting out of his blowhole at the pirate's feet.

Burger Beard jumped back before his feet were burnt. "OKAY! I will sing! Just plug up the hole in your hot head!" He then looked to the other birds. "You must help me sing. Tell me that you will because…I CAN'T HEAR YOUU!"

"Aye-aye captain!" All the birds exclaimed back at him. Even little Kyle was starting to sing along.

"I still cannot HEAR you!" Burger Beard exclaimed.

"AYE-AYE CAPTAIN!" The birds cried.

Bubbles sighed with a nostalgic smile. "I love this song…"
