Sagara Misao.

Sagara Misao.

Sagara Misao.

She can definitely get used to her new name.

Mrs Sagara Sanosuke.

She smiled. Who would have thought? She sure everyone at home must be surprised once they found out. She can't hide her glee when she imagined the shocked faces of her family especially Jiya.

"What's so funny?"

She turned to her husband seating next to her in the carriage. Her husband! She would have never imagined herself getting married, not even to her beloved Aoshi-sama (oh, she loved him very much, but she had long realized that he's ice cold and they have no future together aside from the never ending cat-and-mouse game). And now she's married to her best friend.

"Oooh, just thinking about how everyone will react once they heard the news!~" Misao said too chirpy for Sanosuke's liking. Sanosuke sighed.

"I'm so dead once we arrived. Why did I ever agree to marry you?" Sanosuke whined and hung his head low. What has he got himself into? The Oniwabanshu were of course domineeringly overprotective of Misao. They'll kill him once they found out, that he is very sure of.

"Because you love me? With all your heart, and was not able to see me being scurried to marry any other guy?" Misao teased suggestedly and batted her eyelashes at him, trying to be cute.

Damn her big blue beautiful eyes! His eyes darted lower to her cherry colored lips. He gulped. Well, it's given that a man can kissed his wife as he desired, right?

The silence treatment from Sanosuke doesn't sit well with Misao. Sanosuke was just staring at Misao. Misao being oblivious to Sanosuke dilemma, shift closer to him and now facing him. Misao reach for one of his hand and hold it between her hands.

"Sanosuke, thank you. You're my best friend and I will never be able to pull this with any other.."

"Can I kiss you?" Sanosuke abruptly interject with a sense of urgency.

Misao too stunned by the question stammered, "Urmm.. I know we are married and all.."

She wasn't able to finish when she felt his lips come crashing down on hers.

The first kiss they had was nothing like this. It was just a peck in the lips, a quick one after the monk at the shrine officiated their marriage. Not that it's a tradition to kiss in a japanese wedding, but Misao wanted to thank Sanosuke. And she didnt regret it, Sanosuke did not see it coming and was blushing red as tomato when she pulled back that Misao found him to be cute.

This kiss was different. Oh, it's totally different and it is certainly not in a bad way. This time she felt the tingle, the spark run through the course of her body. When Sanosuke's hand start to caress her back, she found herself pressing her body to his closer. Her hands in his thick brown hair, pulling him close. And oh, how their tongue dance together. She had never known a kiss would be this good. They were so into the kiss that they failed to notice that the carriage had come to a full stop in front Aoiya. Misao seated in Sanosuke's lap and making out with said tall guy in a carriage was not how the Oniwabanshu were expecting to found their Okashira.
