Chapter 18: Continuation of Battles!
In the last chapter of " The Journey of a Betrayed Master Book 2: The Rising of Master's:
They recalled the time when Serena had told of her "time" with Ash and they both wanted to experience it as well.
"D-do the things you did with Serena with us." Mei stuttered out as Ash's eyes widened as he blushed.
"Y-you guys really want me to do it with you two?" Ash asked, getting nods from the girls, so he merely smiled at them before opening his tent.
With Chris and Christian
Location: Mt. Battle Summit
"I need your help, Garchomp!" Chris then sent out the Pseudo-Legendary of the Sinnoh region onto the battlefield as he roared out loudly as soon as he landed on the field, glaring at the Legendary of Unova.
Garchomp was a Pokemon with dark blue, with a red underbelly that covers from the middle of its abdomen, to its jaws, and then to the undersides of its arms. Underneath the red is a gold diamond shape as well a gold cross on its snout. It has appendages that resemble a jet or plane's engines, giving it an appearance similar to a hammerhead. It has four fins, one on each arm, one dorsal fin and another on its tail that resembles a shark tailfin. It has spikes on its hind limbs and arms as well as sharper claws than its previous evolution. Its eyes have black scleras and gold-colored irises.
"That Pokemon is a Rock and Fighting Type, send out Pokemon to counter those types." Chris told the two Trainers who nodded their head in understanding.
"If that's the case then, Skarmory, I choose you!" the Armour Bird Pokemon then appeared out of his Poke Ball with a loud squawk as it hovered over the ground.
Skarmory is a silver-gray, avian Pokémon with a long, metallic blue neck, legs, and tail. It has yellow eyes, a pointed beak with several pointed teeth, and a triangular crest on its head. There are red feathers under the sheaths that cover its sharp wings. Its wings are actually quite hollow. Its feet have three toes on them, two in front and one in back, and its tail has hooked ends.
"I don't have much to counter those typings, but since something as heinous as this is involved, I might as well send you out! Go Flareon!" the Fire Type of the Eeveelution appeared out of his Poke Ball, yawning as he landed gently on the ground before facing the massive Pokemon staring down at it.
Flareon is a mammalian, quadruped Pokémon covered in short, reddish-orange fur. It has long ears, dark eyes, and a small black nose. There are three small toes and a yellow paw pad on each foot. Fluffy yellow fur forms a small tuft on its head, as well as its bushy tail and a mane around its chest and neck.
The Flame Pokemon looked confused but could see the dark aura surrounding Terrakion, making his eyes narrow.
"Hah, this is pointless! All of your Pokemon will be at the mercy of my Shadow Pokemon! Terrakion how them your strength, use Earthquake!" Terrakion then slowly raised one foot upwards.
"Skarmory grab both Garchomp and Flareon, quickly!" Skarmory then dived down towards Garchomp, lifting it up using its talons as Flareon jumped up on Garchomp's back.
Terrakion then slammed its foot down, creating a massive earthquake that caused all four Trainers to be unbalanced from the force of the attack.
"Flareon go in with Rock Smash now!" Christian instructed as Flareon then jumped from his position and dived towards Terrakion, one of his paws glowing brightly before slamming it down on the Pokemon's head. However, despite the move being super effective, the Shadow Pokemon barely even flinched from the attack.
"Garchomp, let's show them what a real Earthquake is!" Skarmory then released the Mach Pokemon down as Garchomp landed heavily on the ground, creating a massive earthquake as the Ground Type attack caused the entire platform to shake uncontrollably.
"Chris, remember that there are other people here and we aren't capable of flying." Christian said harshly as he had to place his hand on the ground to prevent himself from falling as Chris rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
"Even if that's the case, that attacked definitely did some damage to that thing." Wes pointed out and true to his word, the attack managed to cause some bruises to form on Terrakion, however, it was only minor.
"Impressive, but that's not enough to defeat it! Terrakion use Shadow Stone Edge!" The three males had no idea as to what the move did but they knew better than to let it happen.
"Skarmory create a massive Whirlwind now!" Skarmory then began flapping its wings, creating a massive a large gust of wind as it headed towards Terrakion, whose body becomes surrounded in purple. The dark energy then comes off its body and it forms into two rings of black pointed energy orbs that orbit around its body. The purple light then fades around the orbs and they form into multiple sharp black stones. Terrakion then fired those stones at the Pokemon in front of it.
The stones immediately shot pass the whirlwind as if it were nothing and struck Skarmory directly as it was the closest to it.
"Skarmory!" Wes cried out in worry but was quickly reassured once the Armour Bird Pokemon quickly shot back up into the sky with a loud squawk.
However, it wasn't done yet as the stones quickly levitated back up as if it had a mind of its own as it shot towards Flareon, whose eyes were widened at this.
"Garchomp, protect Flareon from the attack!" Chris instructed as Garchomp jumped right in between the rocks and the Flame Pokemon, taking the attack directly as he was pushed back by the force of the attack.
"Flareon use Flamethrower now!" Flareon then shot out a torrent of flames from his mouth at the Cavern Pokemon, however, it wasn't even fazed by the attack.
"Heh, what was that attack meant to do?" Ein asked mockingly as Christian had a smirk on his face.
"Now Skarmory, use Steel Wing!" Both of Skarmory's wings then glowed white as it appeared behind the Legendary of Unova, before he slammed his wings into the Pokemon.
"Garchomp go in with Dragon Rush!" Garchomp was then surrounded by a menacing red aura which covered his entire body as he leapt into the air before slamming his entire body to the Pokemon, slamming it to the ground.
"Terrakion, don't let them mess with you like that! Use Shadow Cannon!" Terrakion then opened its mouth as a dark purple ball appeared in front of it as it grew in size before firing the attack at Garchomp.
"Garchomp, dodge the attack quick!" Chris shouted in alarm but the Mach Pokemon could not do so since he had just got up from the ground.
However, instead of hitting the Mach Pokemon as everyone had expected, the attack split into two and headed towards both Skarmory and Flareon's direction, much to everyone's shock as the attack struck them directly.
"Damn, these Shadow attacks are too tricky for us to be able to tell what they do." Wes cursed and Christian nodded his head in agreement.
"Even so, we have to pull through the battle and defeat it before anything happens." Christian said, but despite that, the three males were satisfied with how the battle was currently going, Ein on the other hand, not so much.
The scientist of Cipher clenched his fist tightly and pulled out a button from his lab pocket before pushing it.
Terrakion, while still chasing after Garchomp, suddenly stopped its pursuit and stood in place.
"Wait, what happened?" Wes asked and Christian turned to the side and saw Ein placing the button back to his lab pocket and growled at him.
"Ein! What did you do?" Christian asked and received a dark smirk in response.
"Something that will definitely bring your demise!" was all Ein said and Christian had to turn and face Terrakion and was shocked at detecting the massive amount of darkness emitting from the Cavern Pokemon.
"This aura, although I might not be able to see it like Rui, I can definitely feel it." Wes said as Terrakion roared out loudly and glared at the three Pokemon before it.
"So, what do we do now?" Christian asked as Chris narrowed his eyes at the Cavern Pokemon, although its heart was shut as according to Ein, the black haired male could detect the pain and suffering it was feeling.
"We stick to the same plan! Garchomp use Dragon Pulse!" Garchomp then generated a shockwave in his mouth before he fired the attack at Terrakion.
However, the attack looked as if it barely even hurt it whatsoever as Terrakion still stood strong despite the attack hitting it directly.
"Terrakion, use Shadow Cannon!" Terrakion then opened its mouth as a dark purple ball appeared in front of it as it grew in size before firing the attack at them.
However, before they could even utter a single word, the attack then struck all three Pokemon directly as they cried out in pain and fell to the ground.
"Guys, are you alright?" Chris asked worriedly and just like that, the Pokemon quickly got up before they could worry their respective Trainers any more.
"Garchomp use Stone Edge!" Garchomp then roared and charged forward as his eyes then glow white and two light blue rings appear around his body. The rings then glow white and form into white stones that spin around the Mach Pokemon's body. The white glow then fades and gray rocks took its place. Garchomp then fired those rocks at Terrakion.
"Terrakion counter it with Shadow Stone Edge!" Terrakion, whose body becomes surrounded in purple. The dark energy then comes off its body and it forms into two rings of black pointed energy orbs that orbit around its body. The purple light then fades around the orbs and they form into multiple sharp black stones. Terrakion then fired those stones at
"Damn, I'm assuming it must have entered Hyper Mode." Wes cursed and Christian nodded his head at that statement.
"That would explain the massive increase in its power all of a sudden." Christian said as Chris narrowed his eyes at the opposition Pokemon and realized that it was panting slightly as if a status was inflicted on it. Chris's eyes then widened in realization.
"Christian, do you have any moves that inflicts a status on it?" Chris asked and the man in question nodded his head.
"Yeah, my Flareon knows Toxic, why do ask?" Chris then pointed at himself and Wes.
"We're going to try and distract it while you make sure that Flareon manages to poison it. That may be our only shot to win this battle right now." Chris said and Christian nodded his head in understanding.
"Alright, Garchomp charge at it with Brick Break!" Garchomp then began charging towards the Cavern Pokemon who had been staying in place the whole battle.
"What an idiotic move, Terrakion use Shadow Stone Edge to stop his movement!" Ein shouted as Terrakion's body then began to be surrounded in purple. However, before it could execute the move, Skarmory came up from behind it and slammed its metallic wings at it, causing the Cavern Pokemon to lose its focus and turn its attention to Skarmory before chasing after it.
"Garchomp use Stone Edge!" Garchomp's eyes glow white and two light blue rings appear around his body. The rings then glow white and form into white stones that spin around the Mach Pokemon's body. The white glow then fades and gray rocks took its place. Garchomp then fired those rocks at Terrakion, forcing it to stop its chase after Skarmory and charged after Garchomp.
"Keep this up!" Wes called. Skarmory swooped down from above and came down with another Steel Wing, striking it directly.
Raikou began to chase after Skarmory again before Garchomp once again fired a Stone Edge at its direction, wearing the Legendary Pokemon out.
"Skarmory fly back towards Garchomp!" Skarmory did as he was told and flew back towards Garchomp's direction, avoiding the attacks that were being fired by the Shadow Pokemon.
"Garchomp use Dragon Rush and pin it down!" Garchomp was then surrounded by a menacing red aura which covered his entire body and waited for Terrakion to get close before he leapt into the air and crashed into Terrakion at full power, slamming it into the ground.
'Now's our chance!' Christian thought to himself.
"Now! Flareon use Toxic!"
Flareon then fired a stream of purple ooze from his mouth at the downed Terrakion, hitting it.
"Yes!" Christian cheered after the Poison type move managed to hit the Legendary Pokemon as Garchomp quickly got up and retreated back towards his Trainer.
"Now we just need to stall enough time for us to snag it!" Wes said as Ein chuckled darkly.
"That is, IF you can snag it! Terrakion use Shadow End!" a menacing powerful aura surrounded the Cavern Pokemon before it leapt into the air and slammed its body into Skarmory causing it to cry out in pain and crash to the ground with a loud thud.
"Skarmory!" Wes cried out in worry for his Armour Bird Pokemon.
"Flareon help Skarmory out by using Flamethrower!"
"You too Garchomp, use Dragon Pulse!"
Flareon then fired a torrent of flames from his mouth at Terrakion while Garchomp generated a shockwave in his mouth before he fired the attack at Terrakion.
The two attacks struck the Pokemon directly and although it didn't do a lot of damage to it, Terrakion then turned its attention from Skarmory to both Garchomp and Flareon.
This gave Skarmory the chance to retreat as shot up into the air and flew back towards Wes.
"I don't think our Pokemon are able to take any more hard hits from that thing." Christian pointed out and true to his word, all three Pokemon were panting heavily and were on the verge of fainting.
"That may be true, but it's also the same case for it." Chris pointed out as Terrakion was panting quite heavily as well due to the poison bringing its health down.
Ein, hearing the males' conversation chuckled to himself.
"Well I have to say, I'm definitely going to make this your end! Terrakion, use Earthquake!" Terrakion then raised one foot high into the air as the males could only watch in horror as time began moving slowly. Since the platform they were standing on was already unstable from the previous Earthquakes' from before, this one would send them falling down the mountain.
That would be the case if Terrakion had executed the move of course.
"Blade use Leaf Blade!" someone shouted and just before Terrakion could slam its foot down, a Sceptile appeared before it, its leaves protruding from one its arms glowing brightly before swiping it at Terrakion, causing it to cry out in pain before it dropped to the ground with swirls in its eyes.
"What?!" Ein shouted in shock as Chris looked at the Sceptile and it looked very familiar.
"Wait, aren't you-" Chris was then cut off when he heard footsteps approaching them.
"Hey, are you guys alright?" Alessandra asked as she, Rui and Michael all appeared before them.
"Yeah, we're fine thanks to you." Christian said and a bark from Flareon alerted everyone as Ein recalled his fallen Pokemon.
"It truly is a shame that I couldn't destroy you all before you get more powerful, but alas, it looks like this'll have to wait until another day." Ein said as he sent out a large Crobat which picked him up rather easily and took off.
"Come back!" Wes shouted but realized that they had already escaped.
"Damn, he managed to escape and with the Shadow Pokemon as well." Wes cursed to himself as Rui placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry about it Wes, I'm sure we'll be able to get him next time." Rui said with a smile and Wes had to look away to prevent them from noticing the blush that appeared on his face.
Chris stood by his Garchomp, applying some potions to it as he fed him some berries.
"Thanks for your hard work out there Garchomp. You did really well." Chris said as Garchomp gave a genuine smile to his Trainer before he was recalled to his Poke Ball.
"So will your Garchomp be alright?" Chris then turned back and saw none other than Alessandra standing behind him.
"Yeah, all of his injuries were healed from the potions. All he needs is a good rest and he'll be fighting fit once again." Chris said as he scratched his cheeks.
"Thanks for saving us back there." Chris said and the brunette gave him a smile in response.
"You don't need to thank me. After all, we're friends, aren't we?" Alessandra asked and Chris wanted to alter her sentence but couldn't. He didn't want to be just friends with her any longer. So, all he did was nod his head.
"Hey, you guys done over there? We're going back to the Professor's lab!" Michael called out and Chris offered her a hand.
"Shall we?" Chris asked and Alessandra blushed a bit and nodded her head as the two walked off, hand in hand.
The Trainer from Pallet Town could only yawn as he walked with Iris standing beside him after his recent activities with both her and Mei, and they both proved to be insatiable despite it being their first times being exposed to such 'fun'.
'Now I'm even more grateful for those Aura Training I did long ago, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to keep up with them.' Ash thought to himself as he turned to the cheerful female beside him. Mei decided that she wanted to rest more seeing as her battle was not until later on.
"So, how do you think you'll fare against Argo?" Ash asked and Iris could only shrug in response.
"Well, he'll be tough after watching the tournament, but I'll make sure that I win as revenge for beating my team." Iris said determinedly.
"Even though he didn't take part in the battle at all?" Iris then smirked in response as Ash shook his head before they both arrived and met up with the group.
"You guys sure took your time." Mike commented and Ash could only shrug in response.
"Well then, now that Iris is here we can finally start the fight. I'm sure Argo here has been waiting for this." Victor pointed out and the black haired male could only shrug in response.
"Well, let's just start it out already!" Arctic said excitedly and with that, everyone decided to head to one of the more special fields on the island, the Volt field.
The field, although it can't be noticed, contain volts in the ground and some Pokemon may be able to get hurt from it by touching the ground, but they also have the same effects as the move Electric Terrain.
"Alright, let the battle begin!" Latias announced as both Argo and Iris threw their Poke Balls onto the field simultaneously.
Argo sent out a bipedal, insectoid creature. It is primarily green with cream accents between its three body segments. On the back of its somewhat reptilian head are three points, and it has narrow eyes. Its forearms consist of large, white scythes, which it uses for hunting as well as fighting. On its thighs are spikes of fur, and it has three clawed toes on its large feet. Two pairs of cream-colored wings extend from its back.
It was a Scyther.
Iris on the other hand sent out a Pokemon with a dark brown body with diagonal, red splotches. Three markings are on its front, with two under each arm, and two on its back. It has short legs with small, narrow feet, each containing three toes. Its small white face is long and thin, tipped by its pink nose. Its eyes are set back, on either side of the bridge of the nose. Under them, on each side, are two thin, red stripes. A large blade roughly twice as large as its face extends from its forehead. The top of the blade contains two smaller blades, resembling fins. Its arms are thick and have three large blades instead of fingers, with two smaller blades on top of the middle ones. On its knees, halfway down its arm, and just behind where its forehead meets its face, are small red spots.
It was an Excadrill.
"That was quite smart of her to send that thing out since it's a Ground Type and resist the volts in the ground." Luciana commented and Eva nodded her head in agreement.
"Also, based on typing, Sycther is a bad matchup against it." Eva said but Nicolas shook his head.
"That may be the case but if there's one thing I learned, it's that Pokemon battles are never predictable, so I think that with the right strategy Argo can overcome this." Ash nodded his head on that as he watched the match.
"Scyther let's start it off with Swords Dance!"
"Don't let him raise his attack! Excadrill use Rock Slide!" Excadrill's body then glows white and multiple white rings of energy appear above and around him. Then, several large grey boulders come out of the ripples of energy and began falling down towards Scyther.
"Sycther dodge it and use Swords Dance while doing so!" Scyther then avoided the rocks by pulling of a weird dance routine as he swiped his claws back and forth.
"Now, Scyther use Quick Attack to get close and use Brick Break!" Scyther then flies towards Excadrill at a fast speed as a white light appeared behind the Mantis Pokemon before he disappeared, before he reappeared right in front of the Subterrene Pokemon and with his claws glowing white with energy, he slammed it on Excadrill's head.
"Ouch that's got to hurt since it was super effective." Mike said.
"Not to mention the Swords Dance boost, it must have done a lot." Gary pointed out as Cilan chuckled.
"That may be so, but Iris just set up delicious a trap for him." Cilan said as Excadrill's eyes narrowed as he grabbed Scyther and using its bulk, it did so quite easily.
"Excadrill use Rock Slide and then use Iron Head!" Excadrill then fired the large grey rocks on Scyther, causing to cry out in pain, but Excadrill still hadn't released it. This was when Excadrill's head then started glowing and its head became more metallic from before he slammed his head at the Mantis Pokemon, causing it to drop to the ground, however it still managed to get up and fly back towards his Trainer.
"Hoh, I'm surprised that it's still conscious." Ash then noticed a purple stone being held by Scyther closely.
"I see, an Eviolite." The others heard him and realized it as well.
"A held item that boosts both the defense and special defense of a Pokemon if the holder is still capable of evolving, that's quite clever." Arctic said.
'Unfortunately it won't help me any further in this battle.' Argo thought to himself as he realized the dire situation he was put in.
"But that doesn't mean we'll give up! Scyther use Swords Dance, we're going all out on this one!" Scyther, once again performs a weird dance as it sharpens his blades, raising his attack stat once again.
"We can't let him get close to us after that! Excadrill use Rock Slide!" Excadrill's body then glows white and multiple white rings of energy appear above and around him. Then, several large grey boulders come out of the ripples of energy and began falling down towards Scyther.
"Scyther dodge them all with Quick Attack!" Scyther then flies around at a fast speed as a white light appeared behind the Mantis Pokemon as he managed to avoid all of the rocks falling down towards him.
"Keep them going Excadrill!" Iris encouraged and with his Trainer's encouragement, Excadrill began dropping more and more rocks towards Scyther.
"Scyther keep on dodging it with Quick Attack!" Scyther continued on dodging the Rock Type attack with ease and it became like that for a few minutes until Iris decided that she had enough.
"Excadrill use Stealth Rocks!" Excadrill's body becomes surrounded in several silver glitters that grow larger and fire around the battlefield. The energy then grows larger and forms into pointed gray rocks that sit on the ground.
'Shit, I should have ended it much sooner, now any Pokemon I send out will take damage from it.' Argo thought to himself.
"Scyther end it now! Use Quick Attack and then Brick Break!" Scyther then flies towards Excadrill at a fast speed as a white light appeared behind the Mantis Pokemon before he disappeared, before he reappeared right in front of the Subterrene Pokemon and with his claws glowing white with energy, he slammed it on Excadrill's head.
Excadrill then cried out in pain before falling to the ground with swirls in his eyes.
"Excadrill is unable to battle!" Latias called out as Iris recalled her fallen Pokemon with a smile on her face as if she wasn't fazed by her loss.
"Well, then….." a smirk then appeared on her face.
"It's time to show just how serious I can be!"
Location: Forest nearby Kiou Island
"Hoh, so you're telling me that there's this Trainer who practically stormed through an entire area filled with those Team Revenge guys and walked out without any problem whatsoever?" a hooded figure asked as a male wearing a white hat leaned against a tree.
"That's right and he even had some Pokemon that were in their Mega forms and it was more than one." He responded as the hooded figure practically jumped up excitedly and grinned.
"I can't wait to fight that Ash Ketchum dude!"
Christopher Dragkrow: So there you have it folks! The Eighteenth chapter! Forgive me for the short chapter but I'm trying to give you as much as I can.
