Kuroko was there because his little brother's friend is having a birthday party and he came to keep track of him. Unsurprisingly, he got along great with the kids and before he knew it, they had dragged him into the "super duper mega AWESOME" ball pit to play.
Murasakibara was there because he had dropped his last pack of Pocky into the pit as he was walking by. He was furious.
It didn't take long for Kuroko to find him. In the field of colorful balls and tiny 5 year old children, Murasakibara was like a big, purple Christmas tree holding a sign that screamed "FEAR ME". Understandably, every kid within 3 feet of him ran out screaming for their mommies.
Kuroko navigated through the sea of plastic balls, making his way toward the giant man. Halfway there, the said man noticed his friend struggling to walk, and, taking large, giant-like steps, made his way toward him.
"Kurochin."
"Murasakibara-kun. Hello," Kuroko tilted his head a little. "I didn't expect to see you here. Is there something wrong?"
"Kurochin," he repeated, "I dropped my last pouch of Pocky into the pit and now I can't find it."
Silence.
"Please help..?"
Kuroko sighed.
"I'm sorry we couldn't get back your Pocky." The phantom player lied.
The two spent 30 minutes rummaging through all the balls before Kuroko heard a kid go up to his friend, bragging about how a box of Pocky magically appeared under his foot as he was in the ball pit.
Kuroko didn't have the heart to take it from him.
"..." Murasakibara sighed. "It's okay. Thank you for helping. Sorry I made you help me. Are you still hurting anywhere?"
The teal haired boy had been stepped on my countless sneakers and feet as he crawled underneath all the balls. One kid stepped on his head, leaving the boy with a large bump on the side of his head. No one dared to get close to Murasakibara.
"The throbbing subsided," But now he had a head ache. "And don't mention it, I helped because I wanted to. Wanna get milkshakes though?"
Murasakibara contemplated his answer before sighing deeply and frowning.
"No, I have to catch the train soon or else I won't make it to practice in time and Murochin will yell at me for a loooong time."
"Oh, in that case," Kuroko grabbed a clump of the taller boy's t-shirt and pulled him down. Before said boy could react, Kuroko brought their lips together.
He bit down Murasakibara's bottom lip and, as the boy opened his mouth in surprise, stuck his tongue inside. Their tongues came together in a heated battle for control. Kuroko was the one to pull away first.
A half smile formed on his face, cornflower eyes twinkling in amusement.
"I had Pocky a few minutes before coming there."
And then he disappeared, leaving Murasakibara with only the taste of strawberry Pocky to remind him that, yeah, that really did just happen.
