Hear my voice. Allow me to light your path through the darkness. Extend yourself to me.
A Strider, armed with bow and Dual daggers, stood from which they sat. Slowly the Strider straightened to her full height of about 5'6. She wore simple set of dark brown light armor that bore the designs of hexagons dyed blue. Across her shoulders she wore a deep forest green cloak. Her midnight shaggy hair fluttering as she turned her head, hazel eyes flecked with green scanned her surrounding area. She felt a warm creeping it's way through the marking on her hand. She extend her hand and allowed the corner of her lips to lift in a small smile. She sprung forward, her arm fully extended ahead of her, her hand steadily growing warmer the more she ran in this direction.
As the Strider ran she began to see others just as her. Mages, knights, assassins, all kinds of different pawns were rushing to converge at one point. The Rift Stone. Using the skills she learned long ago when she trained in her vocation the Strider pushed herself faster and weaved through the other pawns attempts to slow each other down. Dodging a paralysis spell she almost failed to see the sword swing in her direction. Seeing it out the corner of her eye she tensed her legs and propelled herself over the spell, fell into a roll, and continued running. She had made it past a small group who still fought amongst themselves. Turning her attention back to the front she could see the light emanating from Rift Stone grow in intensity, she was almost there!
The ground shook, she quakes nearly causing her to lose her footing, she stumbled and was stunned when she cast a glance behind herself. A mage had cast some sort of an earth based spell and cracked the dimensional foggy floor that they all stood on. Her eyes widened in panic when the crack in the floor grew. Screams from the pawns who had fallen in quickly faded as they fell into oblivion.
A cold sweat was beginning to form on her forehead. Her chest heaved when she demanded her legs to take her faster, the Rift stone was only a few meters away. In one last desperate attempt she leap to the stone and just barely brushed it with the tip of her finger. The gow the lit the stone enveloped the form, and then she was suspended in the air for the smallest of seconds before she and the stone flashed…..she was gone and the stone returned to it dull stone brown.
I made it. She let out a sigh and let herself go limp. This is the day. The time has come. I am to be the Arisen's beloved pawn. I am now your's, Master.
Arisen, call upon my name and my soul is yours to forever command. I will be by your side until the end no matter the choice you make. You are my Master as I am now eternally your servant.
