A/N: Gosh I hope it works this time, the last one was all code... BUT I'M BACK AND HOPEFULLY EVERYTHING IS WORKING!
Prompt: The kid I babysit and I went as Rena Rouge and Chat Noir for Halloween.
~Enjoy!

Marinette was ready for Halloween, her costume was going to be the best one there... even if she was the only one that actually understood it. Tikki had been telling her that it was a risky costume, but no one took Halloween costumes seriously at her age anyway so she thought it would be fine.

"Tikki for the last time, I'll be fine and it's not like anyone is going to figure it out! They'll just think I'm being lazy!" Marinette argued, tugging on the t-shirt over her head and adjusting her ponytail, changing from her usual pigtails in hopes of not being too obvious. She then reached for her purse that Tikki usually hid in and slung it over her shoulder, fixing the kwami with an expectant look.

"You coming?"

Tikki gave a small shake of her head in defeat and zipped into the bag, she just hoped her good luck would work in Marinette's favor.

Not ten seconds later Alya was bursting through the trapdoor leading to Marinette's room, the biggest grin plastered to her face as she entered the room.

"Girl, it's time to go to the best Halloween party of the year!" She exclaimed, making her way over to inspect Marinette's costume for herself. Alya was wearing just about what anyone would expect from her: a Ladybug costume. Alya had every detail of the costume just right, from her curly locks being tied up by two twin red ribbons to the mask that seemed stuck to her face through magic, Alya had the costume down to a T.

"Well I don't know about that, Alya, it is just the school Halloween dance," Marinette laughed, "but you're definitely going to win with that Ladybug costume, not even Chloe has that much dedication to it!" Marinette was impressed, Alya had asked for some help making the store bought costume fit better, but the rest was all Alya's work, she was pleased (and slightly worried) that her friend knew her alter ego so well.

"Of course! You don't get to run the Ladyblog without knowing every detail of Ladybug's costume." She said with a wink. Alya and Marinette giggled at that, both knowing Alya ran the Ladyblog because she snagged the URL before anyone else could.

"But girl, what are you supposed to be?" Alya laughed again, gesturing to Marinette's lazy costume.

Marinette looked down at the t-shirt and the iron-on letters she had just finished applying and shrugged, "I thought it was funny? Besides, now we match!"

Alya laughed and slung her arm around Marinette's shoulders, grabbing her in a side hug, "whatever you say."

When the girls arrived at the party, it was full of life; people milling about, music pumping through the speakers in the gym, and the sweet smell of treats wafting over from the snack table. Marinette and Alya shared a grin before the two ran in to join the rest of their school on the dance floor.

Marinette took a moment to look around the room and admire all the costumes, a handful of Ladybugs and Chat Noirs were milling about but most of the students got more creative with their costumes, which made her smile. She loved dressing up and seeing the rest of her classmates get into the spirit.

"Hey look! It's Nino and Adrien!" Alya pointed over at the duo as they were walking up to the girls.

Nino was in a lazy Chat Noir costume, made out of sweatpants and topped off with two construction paper triangles taped to his red hat. His "mask" was also made of construction paper taped to his glasses. He looked way too proud of his costume for how little effort he had put into it.

Adrien on the other hand, was just wearing a black t-shirt and black cat ears.

"Hey guys! How's the party, not too dull without me, I hope," Nino laughed as he walked up and started to bob his head to the beat.

"Nino, you look like the comfiest Chat Noir in the world!" Alya laughed, making him turn so she could see the construction paper tail, "at least you put a little more effort in than these two."

Alya laughed then actually took a minute to look at Adrien's "costume", "wait, did you two talk about this?"

Marinette looked at Adrien's shirt with wide eyes, his shirt was almost identical to hers. Where her shirt said "Ladybug", his said "Chat Noir". Instead of red lettering, he had green, but the thought process had been the same.

"I, uh, well-"

"Yep! We did! I asked Marinette to help me out since I was too busy to find a costume and we decided this would be fun!" Adrien laughed, his eyes wide as he slid over to Marinette's side, slinging an arm over her shoulders before speaking, "why don't we go get something to drink, Marinette."

Adrien led the flustered girl into the courtyard and out of sight of the rest of the school.

"Adrien! You just lied! What was that about!" Marinette stuttered, turning to face the boy with an angry blush. He may be cute but she was still upset that he lied then dragged her away!

"Marinette, I just needed to ask: are you Ladybug?"

Marinette blinked, he didn't just ask that, right? No, she must have heard wrong, there's no way he would come to that conclusion because of a silly costume!

"Pfft, me? Ladybug? What makes you think that ?" Marinette laughed nervously, her hands subconsciously going to cover her purse where her kwami was currently hiding. Adrien placed his hands on his hips and throwing her an unimpressed look that reminded her of Chat Noir.

"Marinette, only a superhero would think this is a good costume idea."

"Well it takes one to know one!" Marinette huffed, crossing her arms stubbornly and glaring up at the blond.

"You're darn right it does!" Ardien shot back.

The two stood there for a minute, neither willing to say what they just admitted out loud, but they couldn't take it back, they knew their true identities now.

After awhile, the two seemed to realize they couldn't just glare at each other for the rest of the night and Marinette turned away with a sigh, "well I guess the cat's out of the bag."

"Did you just-"

"Common, we can talk later, kitty."
