Disclaimer: I do NOT own The Legend of the Legendary Heroes
My name is Kido. I am six years old. I have a terrible secret. My father beats me. Nobody knows. I am forced to keep it a secret. Mother tries to help me, but there's not much that she can do.
Tonight, I am heading back home. I spend most of the days with my friends. The stores are closed for the night. On my way home, I see a young man walking around. He has short black hair, black clothes, and purple eyes. He appears to be searching for a place to eat.
I walk over to him. "Hello! My name is Kido! If it is food you want, then come with me. I know all the ins and outs of this place," I tell him.
He looks surprised. "What do you mean?"
"Well, I can bring you home. We have food. You won't be able to stay the night, though. My dad wouldn't like that. I can take you to my secret hideout, after dinner. No one knows about it. Okay?" I ask.
"Okay. My name is Tiir Rumibul, by the way," Tiir introduces himself. I nod my head as I lead him towards home.
When we reach my house, I open the door and lead Tiir inside. Mom is in the kitchen cooking. "Hey, mom. I'm home!" I announce my presence.
"Oh, hello, Kido. I see we have a guest," mom replies, gesturing towards Tiir.
"Only for dinner. I know how dad gets. I'll take him to my secret place after dinner," I respond.
"Well, dinner is almost ready. Why don't you get washed up?" Mom gestures to my obviously dirty hands.
"Okay, mom!" I reply, running off to wash up.
When I return, the table is already set and Tiir is sitting at it (albeit awkwardly). Mom is setting the food on the table. Looks like we're having chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Yum!
We have a fairly quiet meal. Tiir just eats while mom asks me about my day. Just the usual things. When we finish eating, I help mom clear the table. Once we finish that, I turn to Tiir. "Let's go," I gesture to the door. I lead Tiir towards my hideout.
When we get to my hideout, an abandoned shack at the edge of town, Tiir turns to me. "Why did you want to help me?" He asks.
I shrug before responding, "I don't know. There's something about you that I can't quite place. Anyway, there's a cot inside and extra pillows and blankets in the tall cupboard. Come by my home in the late morning. Dad should be gone by then. Mom and I fill fix you some breakfast."
Tiir nods his head. "Alright. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Just be sure to lock the door after I leave. Well, good night," I reply, turning back towards town.
"Good night," Tiir responds, closing and locking the door.
