My Little Pony Equestria Girls- Project Tantabus

(This is a sequel to Equestria Girls- Seeing Double)

Ch 12

"So, Pinkie...what exactly happened to you?" 'Applejack' asked as the group headed down the hallway towards the Nurse's office.

"Ughh, I don't know" 'Pinkie' replied, but Sunset couldn't help noticing that Pinkie was talking a lot slower now. "Everyone started having fun after Cotton Candy and I fired the party cannons, and I ponied up"

"Of course you did" Sunset muttered under her breath.

"Then I started to float in the air, so Sunset grabbed me and pulled me behind one of the bleachers" 'Pinkie' continued. "But as soon as Sunset got me there, it felt like the magic started draining out of me"

"What do mean it 'drained out of you?" Twilight asked.

"It...It was like, water, flowing out a hole in a bucket. My magic just...flowed out of me" 'Pinkie' tried to explain, but her eyelids suddenly began to flutter, before finally closing and she went limp.

"Pinkie? PINKIE!" 'Rarity' gasped in horror.

"Come on! The nurse's office is just ahead!" 'Applejack' said and the girls dashed ahead, except for Sunset, who had come to a halt.

This is the third time this has happened, first to Rarity, than to me, and now Pinkie Pie. This is getting serious! Sunset thought. How is this happening? Is it going to keep happening until we all lose our magic?

Sunset shuddered as a dark chuckle from her demonic self filled her mind.

Who knew school could be so interesting!

Shut up! Sunset yelled mentally as she stalked forward after the other girls.

As the girls finally reached the nurses office, they found Red Heart sitting at her desk, typing on her computer. She looked up as they entered.

"Hello girls, is everything okay?" She asked.

"Not really, Pinkie Pie just collapsed!" Rainbow Dash explained as they set Pinkie down on the couch. The girl immediately flopped over, leaning heavily on Fluttershy.

Red Heart's eyes widened. "Oh my! Get her on the bed, quickly!" She ordered, rising from her chair.

Grunting, Rainbow Dash and Applejack helped move Pinkie to the bed in the corner of the office. Red Heart came over and places her fingers around Pinkie's wrist. After a minute, she gave as mall sigh of relief. "Well, her pulse seems back to normal" She said

At the sound of her voice, Pinkie suddenly stirred, moaning a little as her eyes cracked open.

"Wh...what happened?" She stammered softly.

"You passed out, that's what happened" Rainbow Dash spoke up.

"How do you feel?"

"A little...drained, but I'll be okay" Pinkie gave a weak chuckle.

"Do you think you'll feel by by the time the Equestrian games start?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"How? The games are suppose to start in an hour!" Applejack commented. "And as a participant, Pinkie needs to be there or she'll be disqualified!"

Rainbow Dash's face suddenly lit up and a mischevious grin crossed her face. She leaned over and whispered something to Rarity and Applejack, who's eyes widened.

"Oooh, that is an interesting idea, Rainbow Dash" Rarity exclaimed.

"Huh?" Everyone looked up at her.

"Rainbow Dash just suggested that..mmmpff!" Rarity yelped as Rainbow Dash suddenly clapped her hand over the girl's mouth.

"Present...company" Rainbow Dash muttered through her teeth.

Rarity's eyes widened and flickered to land on Sunset, and a small blush appeared on her face.

"Oh um, sorry." Rarity said a she pulled Rainbow Dash's hand off. "Um...Cotton Candy, can we see you for a moment?"

"Huh?" The girl in question blinked in surprise, then headed over to them.

"What's up with them?" Sunset asked.

Lemon Zest's heart pounded as she made her way to where the other members of her group were standing. Her mind was whirring as it tried to process what had just happened. Lemon had always been a 'go-with-the-flow' kind of girl, but what she had just witnessed, a floating, glowing girl, and her scanner sucking something into itself, was wild even for her.

"There you are!" Lemon looked up to see Indigo Zap glaring in her direction. "Where have you been?"

"And why do you look so pale?" Sunny Flare asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I...you...you..." Lemon Zest stammered. "You were right!"

"Huh?" Sunny Flare blinked.

"What you were saying earlier, about how something was up with the Canterlot High students? Well, you were right" Lemon Zest said. "I just saw two Wondercolts hiding behind the bleachers, and one of them was glowing and floating in mid-air!"

"Seriously?" Starlight Glimmer's eyes widened.

Lemon Zest nodded.

"Oh, ho, ho!" A look as smug as her tone appeared on Sunny Flare's face. "So it wasn't just me after all"

Lemon Zest grit her teeth and ignored the jab. "As soon as I saw the floating girl, my scanner suddenly opened up on it own and began..." Lemon paused to find the right word, "...draining the glow out of the girl and when she came back down, she looked all weak and tired".

"Hmm" Sunny Flare frowned thoughtfully, before her eyes suddenly lit up. "Oh, that happened to me too! When I saw that Rarity girl floating in mid-air, my scanner opened up and absorbed this purple mist, and I heard the girl say she was suddenly feeling tired"

A worried look crossed Lemon Zest's face. "You don't think these things are...hurting the CHS students, are you?"

Indigo snorted. "Nah,

"Attention Students!" Everyone looked up as Vice Principal Luna stepped up to the microphone. "The conclusion of this ceremony marks the beginning of the Equestrian Games. For those of you who are not familiar with the process of the games, for the first round, all students selected to participate will face off in every aspect of the CHS curriculum, culminating in the elimination equation finale, which will eliminate half of the chosen students from each team. The second round will compose of a physical test that will showcase the remaining student's physical prowess and teamwork. The third event, which will be held tomorrow, is a mystery that will be revealed only after the conclusion of the second round!"

"A mystery event, huh?" Starlight felt her eyebrow raise. Cinch hadn't said anything about that.

"The first round of the games will begin in one hour. Until then, we invite all students, participants and spectators, to mingle and prepare" With that, Luna nodded to the crowd before stepping off the stage.

"So, any ideas what we do until the first event starts?"

"Well, if you're looking for ideas..." Sour Sweet pointed to Sunset Shimmer, who was speaking rather urgently to Celestia and Luna, both of whom had horrified looks on their faces. "We could always see what our favorite little traitor is up to"

"Works for me" Sugarcoat smiled as they watched Sunset and the principals rush off. Gathering their things, the girls rushed after them.

And Cut!

Hello again! I apologize for the short chapter, but I haven't uploaded anything in a while, so figured I should do something about that.

I know, I know, I had said that I was going to discontinue this story, but, honestly, I've been plagued by a sudden desire to finish this story ever since I made that decision, so I'm surrendering to my instincts and re-opening Project Tantabus!

That being said, however, this story will be slow-going. I WILL finish it, but I'm not sure when that will be or how often I'll be uploading new chapters. Bear with me here, good things come to those who wait, they say. Now's the time to prove it!

Until Next Time!
