Harry didn't have his mothers' eyes.

In the wizarding world, nobody had green eyes, unless they were a muggleborn. Of course, to your everyday average pureblood, this didn't seem odd. In fact, the mere color of green was an omen of death, believed only by seers and others who delve deeply into divination, therefore, not often believed.

On a not completely unrelated note, the killing curse known as Avada Kadavra, not to be confused with 'abracadabra,' had few symptoms, rather it is the lack of them that makes it identifiable. It left no visible scaring, muscle tearing, blood results, absolutely nothing. According to muggle science, it would seem as though a victim's heart had simply stopped. The perfect health of a dead body, quite unusual, in all actuality. The only real evidence of the effects of Avada Kedavra, other than the ultimate death and the lack of apparent cause, connecting to the earlier topic, is the green.

You see, the only other after effect of the unforgivable curse, was that it turned the victims eyes green. A bright, brilliant, and emerald green. Had it not been a sign of death, it would have been envied by every witch and wizard across the globe. This brings us back to Harry Potter. I think you know where I'm going with this.

Genetically, it would make sense if he had his mother's eyes, they were both green, and certainly not the hazel of his fathers. But again, Lily's eyes were more of an olive. Beautiful, but not the same as her sons bright, brilliant, and emerald green.

Harry Potter, being the only survivor of the killing curse known to man, was the only person alive, witch and wizard alike, to have this specific shade of green. According to this information, the lighting bolt scar should be just as known as his glassy orbs. Despite this, it is stated:

The conclusion that Harry James Potter had his mother's eyes had never been more wrong.

A/N: Okay, so I really don't know where I got this idea, but I did, so deal with it. I don't exactly know what perspective this is being told from, but comment to tell me if it would be better as a realization of Harry, Hermonie, Severus, or even Albus. Keep in mind, changing the perspective would make it longer. I'm open to suggestion and constructive criticism.
