The Big Spoon

Maybe women don't realise this, but men do like to be the little spoon every once in a while. Yes we are 'manly' and strong and 'macho' and whatever else… But everyone likes to feel safe. Everyone likes to cuddle. Even bad asses.

I've been with a lot of women in my life time, more than I'd ever admit to. I'm not especially proud of my past, but it has given me the ability to judge character.

I knew my Babe was special before I ever even touched her, but my heart was clinched forever when I spent the night with her. She liked the cuddling. She liked being the big spoon.

Now even after three months of marriage I can feel the safety she brings with her. The scent of her skin, her hair envelopes me as I sleep. Safe. Happy. Peaceful.
