Summary: There was a sudden piercing pain behind her eyes. She cried out, covering her face. When all she could hear was silence, she lowered her hands, no longer concerned for the pain because of the sudden sound of nothingness. Sakura wasn't prepared for what she saw. [This idea is up for adoption]
This is something I came up with awhile ago that I was too lazy to finish again... So this is a prompt that is up for adoption for anyone who wants it. Just PM me.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto
Sakura was scared. It wasn't meant to be like this—no it wasn't she was supposed to be safesafesafe—at all. Kakashi was locked in a fierce battle with Zabuza, moving so fast she could barely see them.
The mission originally seemed blissfully simple. Protect and escort the client to their destination, then leave. But here she was shaking in her boots like a little girl and—Oh kami so much blood and ishedead?—Sasuke was in trouble. Why was she just standing there doing nothing?
But you could be doing something, couldn't you? A little voice in the back of her head whispered. But what? She whispered back.
There was a sudden piercing pain behind her eyes. She cried out, covering her face, making Tazuna yell and ask her what was wrong.
When all she could hear was silence, she lowered her hands, no longer concerned for the pain because of the sudden sound of nothingness. Everything seemed frozen, but on further inspection on her part, she discovered that everything was just slow. Like the minute hand on a clock, moving slowly but surely towards its destination.
She was pulled out of her observations when she glanced at the battle to her left. Naruto, on the ground, about to be impaled by a thousand senbon. Sasuke, probably dead. Without even noticing, she moved. Sakura increased her speed with chakra, working her muscles to their limit. The needles were getting closerclosercloser.
She slipped through the ice walls, grasping Naruto by the shirt, and tossed him like a ragdoll over her shoulder. She grimaced, Sasuke was already covered with senbon. So, not as to disturb his wounds, she grabbed his forearm, and used shunshin—she could feel her chakra reserves screaming—to transport the three of them out of the icy prison.
Sakura stumbled a bit as she gently placed Naruto on the ground. She started to fall as the world started to move again. Her vision grew fuzzy when she heard Naruto scream her name. Then all she could see was black.
