Chapter Two

"True Love burns the brightest, but the brightest flames leave the deepest scars."

It was surprisingly smooth, she considered, as she ran her index finger absentmindedly over the uneven skin of his chin. Perhaps it was true, that all but the deepest of scars are erased by time.

Maria's fingertips wandered languidly, her thumb grazed his bottom lip as her fingers extended to cup his cheek. She leaned down and placed the softest of kisses on his lips before her head came to rest upon his chest. She could hear the beating of his heart, slow and steady.

The Captain was still sleeping but as she began to explore once again, he began to purr not unlike a cat in the grips of ecstasy. Maria's fingers swirled as she tangled them through the short coarse hair on his chest. Many things had thrilled Maria recently and none more so than having the freedom to explore her new husband in all his magnificent glory.

Although many years older than herself, he was in particularly good physical shape. When Maria had just joined the von Trapp household she often found herself daydreaming about what he would look like under his buttoned-up suits and starched shirts. Captain Longscar, her make believe buccaneer, wore billowy laced up blouses, fitting for a pirate and she would imagine the hairs of his chest peeking through at every available opportunity. So, discovering that her real-life Captain also had a very manly, rugged chest was a great thrill for Maria and one that she hadn't really been able to hide from her new husband, much to his great pleasure.

The taut muscles of his stomach twitched and tensed as Maria's fingers continued their journey downward. His heart began to quicken and she could feel it thumping erratically against his ribcage. Suddenly, she stopped as her fingers hovered close to an intriguing mark on the lower right of his abdomen, that she hadn't noticed until now. Barely touching his skin, her fingertips slid lightly over the thin silky line. His stomach flinched once again and Maria became aware of the tell-tale signs of her husband's arousal below the satin sheets which covered the lower part of his body.

"Fraulein," the Captain's eyes snapped open and his hand swiftly covered her own. "Anyone would think that you were trying to seduce me."

"Perhaps I am… would that alarm you, Captain?" Maria whispered as she kissed his chest tenderly.

"Well no… but I'm not at all sure what your Reverend Mother would think of your behaviour."

"Then Captain, it is a very good job that I am now a married woman. For, as the Reverend Mother was keen to tell me, the love of a man and a woman is holy too," Maria smiled against his chest as she felt his free hand slide down her back below the sheets until it cupped her bottom firmly.

"Nothing about what we did last night was holy, Maria… wonderful, glorious, thrilling, breath-taking…but definitely not holy!" he growled, his voice deep and velvety.

Maria let out a yelp as Georg slapped her behind lightly before pulling her on top of him, his hands coming to rest on her bottom. She took his face between her hands and lowered her lips to his. She couldn't ever get enough of his kisses. The warmth of his mouth and the feel of their tongues as they jostled with each other, tasting and teasing. As they broke apart breathlessly, she rested her forehead against his, their ragged breaths mingling as one.

"I love you, Georg von Trapp," Maria whispered, as she rolled off him gently and nestled against him.

"As I love you, Maria," he lifted his arm as his new bride snuggled into him, resting her head on his chest once again.

After several moments of comfortable silence, Maria's fingers once again travelled down his stomach until they reached their destination.

"You haven't told me about this one," she said, as she softly stroked the thin mark.

Georg laughed as he kissed the top of her head tenderly.

"Thank goodness you didn't tell the children any stories about how I got this particular scar or I might have been forgiven for thinking that you had been spying on me in the shower, Fraulein."

There it was again, her annoying inability to remain composed. Her cheeks began to burn as she thought back to all the times she had imagined him naked and yes, she had to admit that she had, on more than one occasion wondered what he might look like in the shower.

"I think you forget, Captain, that I was a naïve postulant when I came to you from Nonnberg Abbey. I would never have dreamed of having such impure thoughts about my employer," Maria bit her bottom lip to stop herself from giggling but the unmistakable shaking of her body gave her away.

"Well, I'm an honest man my darling and I cannot lie to you that I most certainly did have impure and very improper thoughts about my Governess," Georg whispered in her ear, which made her whole-body shudder with exquisite anticipation.

"But…" he continued, as he began to pepper kisses on her shoulder. "I'm not entirely sure that I believe you."

"I can't think why," Maria replied innocently as she fought desperately to maintain her composure.

"The stories you told the children were exciting and very… well… suitable for my children. But I can't help thinking that perhaps there were some that weren't quiteso appropriate?" his waggled his eyebrows in a sceptical manner and it was Maria's turn to inflict a slap on his stomach which made him grimace in mock pain.

"Exactly how many times did you eavesdrop on your children's bedtime stories?" Maria laughed.

"Enough to know that they were more than just an innocent figment of your imagination," Georg's fingers traced circles on Maria's lower back and he felt her skin begin to react as goosebumps appeared all over her body. "How often did you think about me, back then I mean… before we were engaged."

"My, my, I didn't know you were such a vain man, Captain von Trapp," Maria teased.

"Hmmm - not vain, just curious."

Maria sighed as his fingers continued their sensual ministrations. She began to feel hot and flustered, her breathing quickened and her cheeks became warm and flushed. Every time he touched her he would illicit the same reaction. In fact, he only had to come within a few feet of her before she felt herself becoming frustratingly aroused.

"I suppose…" *sigh* "I would think about you…" *sigh* "several… times… a…day," Maria's soft moans were almost proving to be the undoing of her husband. "But I always dreamed about you… every… single… night," Maria groaned with frustration as his fingertips skimmed around her hip but failed to reach the place she so desperately needed to feel them.

Georg's fingers stilled and he grinned to himself as he heard Maria sigh in dismay.

"Anyway…I thought you wanted to know about this scar," he chuckled as he lifted his hip slightly, pushing himself against Maria in a most enticing way.

"Yes," she sighed, realising that he wasn't going to continue with her seduction until they had discussed his scar. "As I've told you before, it would be rude of me not to be interested." She propped herself up against his chest so that she could look into his glistening blue eyes which were full of mischief and desire as they gleamed dangerously.

"I imagine you think that it's a war wound, sustained during battle when my submarine suffered grave damage and sunk to the bottom of the ocean only minutes after my crew and myself managed to escape," he began to explain, dramatically.

"Oh yes, you must have been so brave," Maria was engrossed by his story and was hanging on his every word.

"Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it's actually as a result of having my appendix removed as a child," he laughed and Maria nudged the side of his thigh with her knee. As she did so, her shin slid over and came to rest between his legs. Her body shifted and she lay partly across him.

"Mmmm… well now, Fraulein. You are quite hot aren't you," he purred as he could feel Maria's warmth pressing against him.

"This is what you do to me," Maria practically groaned into his ear. "I think we've done enough talking, don't you?"

"Mmmmm…" Georg purred, as he pulled the covers over the top of them. "Why don't we make another chapter of 'Captain Longscar's Adventure's'. Only this time… we won't tell the children."

As the room attendant knocked on the honeymoon suite of the Hôtel de Crillon, with the newlyweds' breakfast in hand, all he could hear were sounds of laughter and if he wasn't mistaken, a rather poor attempt at pirate slang.

"Avast ye, Fraulein. Prepare to batten down the hatches…"

"Ahoy, me old seadog!"

Sorry, I know it's pretty stupid but I did promise some lovely reviewers a second chapter! Please review if you can. Always appreciate it.
