John hums merrily as he runs his fingers through his still damp hair from the shower that he had just taken.
He opens the bedroom door and can't help but to smile when he sees that Amelia is still fast asleep in their bed.
He wants to do something nice for her, for all of the hard work that she does, not just for their relationship but for her job as well. He frowns, deep in thought before grinning wildly, getting the perfect idea. He gives Amelia one last look before lightly closing the door and begins to walk down the steps.
Amelia walks down the steps, rubbing at her eyes in a bleary fashion. She then proceeds to walk through the hallway and goes into the kitchen.
Upon seeing John flipping pancakes she raises an eyebrow with disbelief.
"What are you doing?" Amelia asks.
John jumps, startled and puts the spatula down, a huge grin on his face when he sees her.
"What does it look like? I'm cooking, of course." John says with a laugh.
"I know that, I mean why are you cooking? You're not exactly known for doing so after all."
"Ouch, that really hurts me." John says, placing his hand over his heart, a hurt look on his face.
Amelia scoffs and gives him a stare, making him look uncomfortable.
"Okay, okay. You're right, I'm not the one that does the cooking around here, you are. I just wanted to do something nice for you, is that so wrong?" John asks, giving her his best puppy dog look.
"Stop looking at me like that! It's fine I was just curious, thank you." Amelia tells him softly.
"You're welcome, I hope that you're hungry, I made plenty." John replies.
"I am, it smells delicious by the way." Amelia says.
"Well it should be, after all the time I spent making the food." John teases.
Amelia rolls her eyes but can't help to grin.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's dig in!" John says.
