It's been five years since we'd been together. Five years, a lifetime in this sleepy little town where nothing ever changes.

And yet, now, everything's upside down. Everything 'schanged, and this time, there is no going back.

A sniffle brings me back to the present, and I blink suddenly. It's like sinking below the water with my eyes wide open. Everything's murky. It takes a minute, but I realise it's tears. I blink, but the suffocating silence doesn't budge.
