The Room Where It Happens
"If you stand for nothing, Burr, what will you fall for!?"
Hamilton turned and stalked away from Burr, into the doors, the damned doors of the room that he longed to be in, needed to be in. Hamilton closed the doors behind him.
He was being denied.
"I wanna be in the room where it happens, the room where it happens…"
He would not be denied.
"I… wanna be in the room where it happens, the room where it happens…"
He was Aaron Burr, the prodigy of Princeton College.
"I… I wanna be in… the room where it happens!"
He was not waiting any longer.
"I… I wanna be in the room… I… I wanna be! I wanna be!
He was taking his shot.
I've got to be! I've got to be! In that room… that big ol' room!
He ran towards those doors, those cursed, wretched doors. He pushed through them, into the room, the enigmatic room.
"I have to commend you for this invention, Jefferson, "Hamilton spun around on his swivel chair giddily. "This is…" Hamilton stop spinning and shot finger guns at Jefferson. "Revolutionary." He giggled and spun around on his chair again,, shouting "Whee! Whee!".
"If I didn't put macaroni and cheese here I'd be shooting you" shot Jefferson through a mouthful of mac n' cheese. He too was on a swivel chair, but he was too engrossed in his mac n' cheese to spin around.
Madison took a bite of his mac n' cheese, but suddenly he coughed it out along with his lungs, dignity and Hercules Mulligan's little hat beanie thing.
"You should take your medicine, Madison."
Thomas Jefferson slammed his hand on the desk. "Let's get to work, gentlemen!"
Hamilton stopped spinning on his chair and brought it to the desk. Madison followed suit, but frowned when he realised he was a head shorter than the already short Hamilton.
"Is there a way to make these taller, Jefferson?"
"Yeah there's a lever at the bottom."
"This one?" Madison pulled the lever, only to find himself much shorter.
"Wrong lever. Let me help you."
"Tha-" Madison coughed out his lungs again.
Hamilton took a bite out of his macaroni and cheese. He spilt some on his lap and screamed.
Burr, in a stunned silence, slowly closed the doors and inched away from the scene.
Yes, he could stand to wait for it slightly longer.
