The Rainbow After a Storm

The storm had been a wild storm. Ripping branches off trees, and ripping shingles off roofs. The rain had caused overflows of water on the street where Severus Snape lived. He had been watching the storm through his open window at Spinner's End.

After the storm ended, a rainbow appeared in the sky. Severus stood watching it as it fades away. To him it was like a promise of a better day. Everything was now fresh and sweet smiling. Fragrances from the flowers smelled stronger. It seemed that colors were brighter.

The storm reminded him about a wild storm that happened at Hogwarts when he was Headmaster. He was looking out his office watching the storm. It reminded that his life was like that storm wild and out of control. When the storm was over, there was a double rainbow. It was a beautiful sight, one which did not happen too often in his life. That double rainbow made Severus feel a bit better about what he was doing.

Back at Spinner's End Severus moved away from the window, and sat in a chair by the window. His life was a lot better for him now than it was in the past. He could now enjoy rainbows and the beauty after a storm.
