Hey guys, back with some more one-shots! Hope you enjoy!
Shawn & Juliet's House
Juliet walked in her house on a Friday evening around 6:15 and didn't see Shawn.
"Shawn, I'm home!" Juliet yelled.
Shawn came down the stairs holding Morgan.
"Jules! Shhh." Shawn whispered.
"Sorry. I didn't know if you were home. How long has she been out?"
"30 minutes. She's going through that phase where she will only let one person hold her when she sleeps."
"I bet Maggie is thrilled."
Shawn chuckled, "She's hurt that Morgan doesn't want her momma to hold her when she sleeps."
"I remember that with Mags. How is her teething going?"
"Oh just a blast. She has 2 teeth cutting and it's pissing her off."
"Let me see."
"She's sleeping, silly goose."
Juliet laughed and kissed Shawn.
"Hi. Sorry I didn't mean to yell." Juliet said.
"It's ok. I'm shocked you're home so early." Shawn said.
"Really? Today flew by. What do you want to do tonight?"
"Can we go to L.A. for the weekend and see the boys?"
"We sure can. Want to go tonight?"
"Ok, go fix our bags and I'll hand Morgan off to Maggie." Shawn said.
Juliet went up to her and Shawn's bedroom and started to pack for the weekend.
Shawn walked down to the basement and saw Maggie fixing her makeup.
"Whatcha doing?" Shawn asked.
"Fixing my makeup. Why?" Maggie asked.
"Your mother and I are going to L.A. this weekend. We are leaving in a few minutes."
"Just you two?"
"That sounds fun."
"We need a little vacation."
"Yes you do. I really appreciate you taking care of Morgan when we're out of the house at work or school."
"Maggie, we're your parents. We love taking care of our only grand baby for now."
"Yeah. Aaron is getting pretty serious with Madison."
Maggie smiled to herself and Shawn saw in the mirror.
"You know something. Tell me." Shawn said.
"I can't. I told Aaron I wouldn't." Maggie said.
"But I'm both of y'all's father."
Maggie turned around and crossed her arms, "Dad, I told Aaron I wouldn't tell anyone. Leave it!"
Shawn rolled his eyes and scoffed.
Juliet walked downstairs to tell Shawn that they were all packed. She walked down the stairs and heard Shawn scoff.
"What's wrong with you?" Juliet asked.
"Maggie has a secret and won't tell me." Shawn whined.
"I need more information."
"I told Maggie that we love taking care of our only grand baby for now and she asked a question. I told her that Madison and Aaron were getting serious and she let a smile slip like she knows something."
Maggie turned around and grabbed her daughter and walked around the room with her to soothe her.
Juliet caught Maggie's eye and knew what the secret was. She looked at Morgan and Maggie nodded slightly.
"Ok, that's not fair, you're talking in 'Girl' and I don't understand it." Shawn complained.
"Then go start the car." Juliet said.
Shawn went and kissed Morgan and Maggie on their heads and left the basement and went to start the car.
Juliet heard the alarm go off and then turned to Maggie.
"What?" Maggie asked.
"They want a kid." Juliet said.
"Do not tell him I told you."
"You have my word."
"Mom, I'm serious. I don't want to interfere with their lives. They didn't interfere with our lives."
"Fair. But how did you find out?"
"The day when we went to Uncle Lassie's for dinner. I handed Morgan to Aaron and he and Madison went and sat down on the couch. Aaron looked at Madison and nodded and I put it all together."
"I'm so glad you're Shawn Spencer's kid. You're the only one who can read people like he does."
Maggie smiled, "Go on. Have fun. Tell the boys that I miss them."
Juliet nodded and went upstairs and went to the car. She walked though the garage door and saw Shawn looking at her.
Juliet rolled her eyes and got in the car, "What's with the face, Spencer?"
"What took you so long?" Shawn asked.
"Maggie had some lady questions."
Shawn shrugged it off and started driving to L.A.
An Hour and a Half Later
Shawn and Juliet pulled into Aaron's driveway an hour and a half later.
Shawn got out and got the bags out.
Juliet got out and went and knocked on the door.
Aaron heard knocking on the door and opened it and saw his mom.
"Momma!" Aaron said.
"Hey Aaron. How are you?" Juliet asked.
"Good. Come on in, where's dad?"
"Getting the bags."
"Yes. We are down here for the weekend."
"Thanks for the heads up."
"Sorry, it was a last minute thing."
Shawn walked in the house and put the bags down in the corner of the living room.
Aaron went over to Shawn and hugged him.
"Hey my boy. How are you?" Shawn asked.
"Good. Madison should be back in a little bit." Aaron said.
"Good. We want to talk to you alone."
"Am I in trouble?"
"No, not at all."
"Well come sit down."
Juliet sat down on the couch next to Blu and Shawn sat down on the side of her.
Aaron came back into the living room with 3 bottles of water and sat down.
"So, what's up?" Aaron asked.
"Are you ready to get married?" Shawn asked.
"Woah, could've eased into that question."
"Sorry, but it's a serious question."
"Yeah. I mean we've only been together for about 7-8 months, but I can't see myself not being married to her."
"Are you serious?" Juliet asked.
"Yeah. I love her. Hold on, let me get something."
Aaron got up and went to the closet and looked in a drawer and pulled out a ring box. He walked back over to the couches and sat down.
Aaron pulled the ring box out of his pocket and showed his parents the ring.
Juliet gasped at how beautiful the ring was.
"Aaron, you're really going to propose?" Juliet asked.
"I am. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me." Aaron said.
Shawn looked at the ring and was speechless.
"Son, this ring is absolutely gorgeous." Shawn said.
"You think she will like it?"
"Like it? She'll love it." Juliet jumped in.
The front door opened and Aaron had Juliet hide the ring box in her purse.
Aaron got up off the couch and met Madison halfway in the hallway.
"Hi." Madison said.
"Hi. How was your day?" Aaron asked.
"Long, but now I'm home."
Aaron kissed Madison and walked back into the living room where his parents were.
Madison was a whole 3 steps behind Aaron. She saw Shawn and Juliet in the living room talking.
"Hey guys." Madison said.
"Hey Madison. How are you?" Shawn asked.
"Good. How are you guys? It's been a few weeks."
"It has. We are good. We missed the boys, so we're taking a little weekend trip to come visit."
"That's sweet. It was Juliet's idea wasn't it?"
Juliet laughed and nodded, "Of course it was. Shawn doesn't like getting up on the weekends."
"Hey, I do a lot of work during the week, my mind needs to rest." Shawn tapped his temple.
Juliet shook her head and chuckled.
"Let me go put my stuff down and go change then I will come back and visit." Madison said.
Shawn and Juliet nodded.
Madison went to the bedroom and changed.
While Madison was in the bedroom, Aaron ran to his mom's purse and took the ring and put it back where it was.
"That was a close one." Shawn said.
"I wouldn't be a Spencer if it wasn't." Aaron joked.
"Yeah, you're right."
Madison came back into the living room changed and sat down on the other couch with Aaron.
"What are you guys talking about?" Madison asked.
"Stuff." Aaron said.
Shawn couldn't hold it in any longer and asked, "When am I getting another grand baby?"
"Excuse me?" Aaron asked.
"Yeah, when am I getting another grandchild?"
"Dad, where did this come from?"
"I've been wanting to ask you for a few months, but I've held my tongue."
Aaron looked at Juliet and she shrugged.
"This is all his doing. I had nothing to do with it." Juliet defended.
Aaron turned to Madison and then turned back to Shawn, "We talked about it once, but that's it."
"Nothing was discussed when you guys watched Morgan a few weeks ago?" Shawn asked.
"Did Maggie tell you?"
"No. She wouldn't tell me. She said it was a 'secret'."
"She was right."
"So, now that I have that subject up, when are you two having kids?"
"Dad, chill out, we aren't even engaged yet."
Madison looked at Juliet for help.
Juliet saw Madison's look and motioned to the backdoor.
"Excuse us." Juliet said.
Madison and Juliet went outside to visit.
"Maggie told you didn't she?" Madison asked.
"Yes. She was so excited." Juliet admitted.
"When we were watching Morgan a few weeks ago, I couldn't help but imagine us with a baby."
"You love him?"
"Immensely. I have never had a boyfriend as sweet and polite as Aaron. You guys did good."
Juliet smiled, "Thank you. Shawn will be happy to hear that. He wants to be a better father to our kids."
"Yeah. Shawn's relationship with his dad was rocky for the longest time. It started getting better maybe 20 years ago."
"Rebellious teenage years. Henry wanted Shawn to grow up and become a cop, but Shawn wanted the opposite. But look where he is now."
"The only reason he's still in Santa Barbara is because of me. When he met me, he entire world changed, for the better of course."
"You must be pretty special."
"I remind him of that every single day."
Shawn & Aaron
"Dad! What's wrong with you?" Aaron asked.
"What?" Shawn asked.
"Don't ask those kinds of questions."
"I was just wondering."
"I understand that, but you couldn't have eased into it?"
"How would you like me to do that?"
"Uh I don't know how's, 'Have you guys thought about having kids?'"
"I'm sorry dude."
"Dad, it's ok. But the real answer is, yes we want kids. Don't know when that's going to happen, but it will happen."
Madison & Juliet
Madison and Juliet walked back inside laughing.
Shawn caught Juliet's eye and smiled.
Juliet went and sat down on Shawn's lap, since Blu took up the entire couch.
Shawn wrapped his arms around Juliet's waist and rested his head on her shoulders.
"What do you guys want for dinner?" Aaron asked.
"Take out?" Shawn asked.
"I'm fine with that." Madison agreed.
Aaron ordered take out and waited for it to be delivered.
The food got to Aaron's house and they ate until it was all gone.
"That was good. We haven't had take out in a couple of weeks." Shawn said.
"We had take out for lunch yesterday." Juliet said.
"Oh yeah. That was good, but this one was great."
Juliet shook her head.
"Are you guys going to a hotel?" Aaron asked.
"I mean, we were planning on it." Shawn said.
"Dad, you don't have to."
"Aaron, we're your parents, we are going to a hotel."
"Fine. But will I see you guys for breakfast tomorrow?"
"How early is breakfast?"
Shawn nodded, "That sounds fine. Then we have to get going to see Cole and Brice."
Shawn got up and began to help Aaron clean up.
Juliet got up and went and grabbed the bags that they brought inside and put them in the car.
Shawn finished cleaning and got everything ready for the night.
"Aaron, thanks for letting us come by unexpectedly." Juliet said.
"Of course, mom. You and dad are always welcome. Next time, can I have a 30 minute heads up?" Aaron asked.
Shawn and Juliet said goodnight to Madison and Aaron and went to the hotel for the night.
