Hello everyone, it's been a long time since the last update to this story, hasn't it? And so much has happened between then and now, I don't even know where to start of with.

But I guess the first thing to mention would have to be the most important event that happened regarding one half of this story's fandom, the tragic death of Akira Toriyama-sensei. I was really hurt in my soul when I heard the news, I couldn't believe that the legend who gave the world Dragon Ball which was a big part of my childhood was gone, may that wonderful man rest in peace at Otherworld. At the very least, I'm happy he left us with new Broly and Super Hero movies, and the upcoming Daima series, as well as the End of Z saga was added to the Kakarot game before he passed away. I haven't had the chance to do it yet, but I plan to get the complete collections of the Dragon Ball manga, both og and Z, as a way to honor Akira Toriyama-sensei.

Now for the other fandom half of this story, I've been playing Tekken 8 since release and I absolutely love the game, the story was great and gave Jin so much need justice and development since Tekken 3. Also he's my main and I've been doing moderately well in online matches with Jin, it also helps that I'm playing with an arcade stick which certainly lets a fighting game player maximizes their potential and skill, I wonder if it also helps with FighterZ.

Now I guess for the main topic of this status update notice, despite the inactivity, this story is NOT DROPPED. I've just been ridiculously busy these past few years that I haven't had much chances to write. But even though I haven't been writing, I still have been brainstorming and taking notes of what I can possibly do for Tekken: The Third Son, as well as a few other stories I've had in mind and just as passionately made notes for. Pretty much I have this entire story planned out, though might make some slight changes as I go if I feel something needs adjusting. As for the writing itself when I put pen to paper again, something to keep in mind about it is that I have to watch Tekken gameplay videos to study the characters' move sets so that way I can accurately portray their fighting styles in my writing and choose what moves and combos for them to use. This is so I don't just make everything sound generic with just saying that they are throwing punches and kicks and whatnot which in my opinion sound very boring. It's a tricky part of writing a story that relies on martial arts as its main combat that takes time. Also, minus Jin's move set until we get to Tekken 4 in this, all my references for the fights will be used from move sets from Tag Tournament 2, until we get to 7 where I'll be using 7 and 8's move sets for their respective settings.

While I'm at it, I'll lay down a few behind the scenes details that are worth noting, with some being responses to a few reviews.

Gula is not gonna die at all during this story, nor will she be fully sidelined after Subaru takes over as the main protagonist, she'll still be relevant but will be having a smaller role.

I decided to change the power level limit from Raditz to at least Piccolo Jr., cause thinking on it maybe using Raditz's level as the max for a setting like this is a bit much.

Subaru will get a girl during the story, but she'll not be an existing character from Tekken, she'll be another OC of mine I came up during a brainstorming session sometime after a reviewer asked about a potential ship for Subaru.

Also regarding Subaru, as those with Mishima blood can naturally discharge electricity when they charge kI, power up, or deal heavy damage, the color of his electricity will be yellow. And before everyone mentions Reina who has the same color, I had Subaru with yellow electricity since the start before she was a concept, and her lightning also goes purple and pink too, so for my story her lightning isn't yellow.

For the opponents that Gula will face in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 next chapter, I have the whole lineup decided out, though the only one I'll confirm is Prototype Jack. As it is officially unconfirmed what happened to him after T2, other than speculation that he was used as parts for Gun Jack, so I'll be giving my own explanation as to what happened to Prototype Jack, and I'm pretty sure you can guess what that means.

And that's all I will share with you all right now, I got plenty more in store, but I'd rather keep an element of surprise for everything else.
