If you want to skip the cringe, go to the next chapter, where you will find info about my new challenge and the revised version of this story as it was written in literally five minutes. But, read on brave souls!
Nico sat on the porch outside the Hades Cabin, thinking. It was five weeks after the final battle in the Giant War, and he was starting to regret his decision to stay. But leaving would require never having a solid home, and some of the younger campers were really annoying him. And, leaving would also require leaving his friends, like Jason, Annabeth, Reyna, and probably his best friend, Will Solace. For some reason that made him regret even thinking about leaving. Nico wouldn't leave anyway, probably.
Nico looked across the green where Will walked out of his cabin and waved. Nico waved back at him.
Will said something that Nico couldn't hear.
"What?" He shouted.
Will shook his head and walked over to him. "I said, 'Come help me.'"
Nico sighed. "No."
Will frowned. "This isn't good for you. Alone all the time."
Nico raised his eyebrows. "And why do you care?"
Will shrugged, looking a bit uncomfortable. "I don't know. I guess I just do."
Nico sighed again. For some reason, he found himself wishing sometimes, that he and Will were more than just good friends. This was one of those times.
Nico scrunched his nose. "Fine. I'm coming."
Will grinned. "Great!"
Nico smiled slightly. While anything was, probably, possible, one thing remained; Will Solace was huge dork.
