Gaara hesitated a bit before knocking on Naruto's door, but after some seconds of thinking, he go the courage to do so.

"Gaara, nice to see you here, long time since last time." Naruto greeted him.

"Did our marriage mean that little to you?"

"Huh" Naruto answered dumbstruck.

"I would have never have married you if I'd known that you'd just left me alone. Even Shikamaru visits Temari in regular intervals, and he's a Nara." tears fell down Gaara's cheeks, though he tried to hold his posture.

"When? I don't remember." Naruto asked while scratching his back head.

"You don't remember us in Tanzaku Town?" Gaara's voice was tearing.

"I remember that I got a huge hangover afterwards, Kuruma refused to help me out, he fears that if he makes it too comfortable, I'll become a drunkard like Granny".

Gaara's head just fell further down and his eyes started to get wetter. "I…" he didn't manage to get the words out.

Naruto's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, we got married while I was drunk?"

Gaara nodded softly. "I knew it was too good to be true, I just wanted someone to love me. Both Kankuro and Temari have found themselves one, but I."

"Baka, have you forgotten my nindo? I'll never go back go back on my word," Naruto gave his sobbing friend a smile.

Wet eyes looked at Naruto with disbelief. "But… don't you want Hinata?"

"She's cute, but not as cute as you. Besides, I was only doing it to make her happy, and she is a good friend, so I thought why not. So since I don't remember anything, why don't you remind me."

"What?" Gaara started to calm down a bit more.

"Our kiss, it's not a real marriage if we don't don't kiss afterwards." Naruto smiled at him.

As Gaara hesitated, Naruto took the initiative and leant in for a kiss.

A proper smile started to form on Gaara's face. "Thank you. It was nice."

"Watch out, I think I got a new favourite food," Naruto smirked and reach out a hand to mess around with Gaara's hair.

"What did you do that for?" Gaara asked as his hair was back to it's spiky form.

"You looked like a dork," Naruto said with a teasing tone.

"But Temari told me I'd look better and more respectable."

"Do you really trust her taste? She married Shikamaru."

Gaara chuckled, "I guess you're right."

"You know I'm hungry."

"So you want to go out for a bowl of ramen," Gaara asked, knowing his friend's, no husband's preferences.

"Silly, I'm hungry for you," Naruto smirked.
