It was once again the anniversary of Elsa and Anna's parents' death. Every year this time was difficult for both sisters. Elsa could hear sobbing behind her sister's bedroom door. The platinum blonde hair girl knocked softly on the door.

"Anna?" She called softly.

Elsa could her scuffling on the other side after which, The door knob turned and the door opened revealing Anna. The younger's face was puffy and red from crying.

"Elsa...I'm...sorry..."

Elsa shook her head and wordlessly pulled her sister close. Anna buried her face into her older sister's shoulder as Elsa gently smoothed her red hair. Anna treambled as she wrapped her arms around Elsa. The older girl sang softly as she cried too. Anna glanced up at Elsa and touched her cheek. The blonde haired smiled sadly.

"I know... it's been... hard... for... you too, Elsa..."

Elsa just hugged her tightly. Anna felt a chill in the room. Whenever Elsa's emotions were overwhelmed there would be a drop in tempture followed by the snow and ice would come. Anna had to admit that her sister had come a long way but at times..especially these times it was harder for Elsa to control her powers.

Anna sighed as snow and ice covered the floor and walls where they were standing. She noticed the color of the snow and ice and knew that her sister's heart was breaking too.

Elsa sighed as if she noticed the snow and ice for the first time in that moment. "I've messed up again!"

The red haired gently rubbed the blonde's neck in comfort. "You're not messing up, sis. I know you miss them too."

Elsa closed her eyes in shame. "I usually...handle..missing them better...than this..."

Anna glanced worriedly at her oldest sibling. "Do you feel you need the gloves today?"

Elsa opened her eyes suddenly hardly noticing her sister. Anna noticed the change. Anna gently as not to frighten the oldest pulled Elsa into her room and shut the door behind them. She lead her sister to the bed and they both sat upon it or rather Anna sat and Elsa laid down.

The red head handed her sister a small chocolate candy and the blonde stuck it into her mouth letting it melt as she tasted the sweetness. Still more tears ran down Elsa's face. Anna heard a crinkling as a path of ice trailed up the wall.

"Elsa what can I do?" Anna asked as she reached for her sister's hand and Elsa grabbed onto it.

"Just stay with me Anna." Elsa whispered.

"Always," Anna replied as she gently caressed her sister's hand and hummed a soothing melody.

Elsa breathed softly letting her eyes drift close. Gradually, Anna noticed that the ice had started to recede all around them in reflection of the calm state her sister was in. The red head slowly moved to lay next to the platinum-blonde who hummed in contentment upon feeling her sister close by her. She opened her eyes and cuddled into Anna holding her close. Both the sister remained as they were for a while, simply enjoying each other's company. Elsa wanted nothing more than to remain in that moment forever with her sister. She knew she was being ridiculous and acting for all the world like a child but at that moment she didn't care.

"Elsa?" Anna whispered.

"Hmmm?" Answered a sleepy voice.

"I think Mama and Papa would be proud of you." The red head pulled the blankets over them.

"You think so sis?" Elsa asked with a yawn.

"I know so." Anna cuddled closer to her sister.

"After we wake up do you wanna build a snowman?" Elsa asked.

"I'll always be ready to build a snowman with my favourite sister."

The End
