Hey guys! I hope you all are having a great day, well i am not, i have got my history final tomorrow and i am sitting here writing fanfiction. I apologize in advance if you didn't like it, or if the felt rushed of Percy and Annabeth were out of character.
But read and review! And thanks!
P.S. Percy and Annabeth's ages in this story are around 20-22, after they moved in together.
Annabeth's POV:
I woke up to the sight of the beautiful sea green eyes that i had loved since i was 12 staring intently at me.
"How long have you been staring, seaweed brain?"
"I could stare at you for eternity, wise girl"
I smiled and buried my face in his shoulder because i wanted more sleep, he chuckled softly.
Percy and I had decided to get tattoos long ago, but the day never came, so we decided to do it today. We were going to go to some tattoo parlor in New York that Percy knew about. He pulled me out of my thoughts by saying, "we should really get up its 10am"
"five more minutes" i said, i wonder how it got so late, we were early risers, but then it occurred to me that it might be because the two of us were watching movies until 2am, and i fell asleep, i know because i woke up in Percy's arms while he was carrying me to bed.
Anyways, we did get up after 5 minutes, took a shower together and got dressed. I was wearing a white tank top with a leather jacket and some light blue denim jeans, paired with my favorite pair of white sneakers; my hair was in its usual ponytail, that's one thing that hadn't changed over the years.
Percy was wearing a simple white t-shirt over his black denim jeans and white adidas shoes, his hair was as messy as ever and he was desperately trying to tame the rats nest on his head.
"Don't try to comb it, seaweed brain, it's of no use and i like it that way", i said and stepped forward to kiss him, Percy quickly pulled me closer and deepened the kiss, it doesn't matter for how long we have been together, the feeling of his lips on mine still makes me melt into a puddle.
I had no idea how long the kiss lasted, or how it was suddenly 12:30 pm, but for all i knew, we were gonna get late for our tattoo appointment, (we didn't even have breakfast, not fair!), so we raced to the car (I won!).
The traffic was very bad, it was New York after all, the traffic here is never good, the streets were bustling with people, i saw people yelling "Move!" at each other in the traffic, and the other person yelling back, "what am i supposed to do now, fly?". But somehow we survived the journey, and were only fifteen minutes late to the appointment.
The tattoo shop was right next to a Starbucks shop so we decided to park the car in front of it, i saw a guy driving towards the only empty spot but Percy seized it before the other guy could, i saw him give us deep scowl, but he moved on to find some other spot.
Percy parked the car and got out of it first, then proceeded to open the door for me (when did my seaweed brain become such a gentleman?)
We walked into the store and approached the receptionist, she was a very pretty girl with long, straight and shiny brown hair, her eyes were an even darker shade of brown than her hair, she was wearing a simple t shirt and jeans, but i could see her arms were covered with tattoos, it looked pretty cool. She looked up from her work and said, "Hello! How may I help you?"
"We have an appointment for tattoos; it's booked under Percy Jackson"
"Just a second, yes sir, please go in through the door, you will meet Eric, your tattoo artist there."
We went through the door, I was awestruck, the entire room was covered in drawings some were framed, some were just hung up on the wall using tape, some were simple outlines of things like a birds, others were photo-realistic drawings of things like flowers, there were even a few calligraphy posters there, one said "feminism" in elaborate writing and I can't describe how beautiful all of it was.
There was an athletic looking guy in the corner of the room sitting behind desk, as we entered, he looked up from whatever he was doing, and he must be Eric.
"Ah! You must be Percy and Annabeth, right?" he said
"Yes", said Percy
"So you want a trident right above your ankle, right?"
"Yes, about two inches long, just an outline", said Percy
"Good, here take a look at the template"
He picked up a piece of paper from his desk and showed it to Percy it had a trident on it, about two inches long, just how Percy had described it. It looked pretty good; Percy apparently really liked it because he was grinning hard.
"That's great", he said
"Shall we get started then? I'll do Annabeth's after yours", he said and smiled at me.
He sat Percy down on a chair, took out his various tools, his tattoo machine, some colored liquid in a small container, which must be the color for the tattoo, it was jet black. Then he kneeled down near Percy's leg, pressed the paper like thing where he was going to get the tattoo, the whole drawing had transferred onto the skin above Percy's ankle, it was a light purple in color, only a faint outline.
I took a seat next to Percy and watched as Eric first dipped the needle in the color and turned it on, the was making a whirring sound. Then he brought it close to Percy's leg and said, "this is going a hurt a little"
"Go on, do it"
He traced the outline of the trident, occasionally dipping it back in the color, and wiping the excess of Percy's skin. I could see a little blood, and Percy was frowning though, it didn't look like he felt a lot of pain, you kind of get used to pain when you are a demigod.
Percy was soon done, surprisingly it took only about 10 minutes, he looked pretty happy with the result, it really was very good.
I was next, for myself i had chosen an owl to get on my wrist, now i have heard that a place like this would hurt a lot, i guess we'll find out. Eric showed me the template; it looked exactly like what i had emailed him. It looked great to me. I looked at Percy for confirmation and he said, "that looks great, wise girl".
Now wouldn't admit it to anyone but i was a little nervous to get my first tattoo, but i was just as excited.
Mine was a little more detailed than Percy's simple trident; it was an owl with big eyes, and designs on its wings and body that reminded you of ancient mural, the kind you would find in temples, i too was getting the tattoo in jet black but on my inner wrist.
Eric sat me down in the same chair as he did with Percy; he cleaned the needles and changed the pigment. He then pressed a template paper similar to Percy's on my wrist and got an outline of the owl. Then, he dipped the machine in the pigment and turned it on; it started to make that sound again. Ergh, i hated that sound.
He brought the machine on my wrist and Ouch! That thing hurt, but I didn't show it on my face, of course I didn't, I didn't want Percy teasing me for the rest of my life. He started to follow the lines on the template, and it seemed to me that for every passing second the pain increased, Eric would occasionally wipe at the tattoo to get rid of any excess pigment and blood. But it was soon done, it looked a little sore, but the design was so good, i loved it.
Percy and i actually couldn't have been happier with our new tattoos. Maybe we will get more someday, who knows?
Reviews would be appreciated, thanks!
