Author's Note:

Hey guys, it's Pixie here. I just wanted to post this author's note so I could keep you guys in the loop of what's going on. I'll just come out and say it: I'm going on a Miraculous hiatus for a few weeks. That means the sequel is postponed for a few weeks. I can feel a bunch of you rolling your eyes already, and this is exactly the reason why I've decided to go on this hiatus.

To those who have been sending me borderline abusive comments over my random updating, congratulations, you just made everything a hundred times worse. This sassiness is by no means aimed at the majority of you. If you criticised my story, this is also not aimed at you. This is purely aimed at the people who decided it would be a good idea to mock me over my inability to update regularly and chew me out over it.

I've wrote for a lot of fandoms in my time on this site, but NEVER have I encountered any toxic behaviour like this. The Miraculous fandom really is something else. The sheer entitlement I'm seeing from some people… like… literally, who raised some of you? How dare you speak to me like that! I've done my best to clear up some of these comments, and normally, I would ignore them, but this time it's really gotten to me. I shouldn't have to deal with this.

So I'm just here to remind you guys that I am, believe it or not, a real person. I am not some robot slave who pumps out stories and chapters to suit you. I feel guilty enough about my lack of updating sometimes without people bullying me over it. Now, I'm 23, and I don't know how old the majority of my readers are, but for god's sake, grow up! You do not bully random people over the internet! I should not need to remind people of this.

I'm going through enough already. And in case you need to know what's sooooo important that I can't update regularly is, here ya go! Ahem. My grandma is dying, I'm dealing with mental health issues, I'm dealing with physical health issues, this story is draining to write due to its themes, my brother got into a motorcycle accident, I'm dealing with a lot of stress at work, my dog is seriously ill, and there's a pandemic going on! A lot of people I know got sick and I was an essential worker, working through the whole thing! So stop acting so entitled please.

Due to this, I'm going to be staying away from the Miraculous fandom scene for a few weeks and focus on my other interests. I'm going to be focusing on other stories and other projects that I have going on, because I just can't deal with all this toxicity right now. It's making me miserable.

I'll be sure to let you guys know through another author note when the sequel to this story gets published, but it's definitely not going to be this week like I originally said. You can always keep an eye on my blog for more information and news. I just… I need a break.

Please don't pester me any further from now, and don't follow me onto my other projects to harass me or ask me when I'll be going back to my Miraculous fics. Feel free to be a part of my other projects if you're interested, just don't use them to nag me. I hope that you understand, and thank you so much to all of those who have been supporting me during this. Your kind words have meant so much to me.
