Randy stared at the scarlet red scarf in his hands, wishing beyond anything else he had the Nomicon to tell him what to do again. The New Ninja was only just learning. He was obviously different from Randy, who wanted nothing more than to tell the boy everything there was to know about being the Ninja. But he couldn't. Not yet, at least. He wanted to help Norrisvile. He wanted to be a hero again...

But more than anything... He wanted to know what he was doing, if he was doing the right thing. He wanted to talk to First Ninja. He wanted to pull that mask on and go fight a monster...

Randy couldn't be a hero anymore... He had the scarf, but he had no idea how to use it's powers. He didn't even know what those powers were. He couldn't even figure out how to transform! He knew it could transform him, he just didn't know how it would do so... He had tried many things, even yelling incantations and twirling it. There was no way it would work just like the mask, would it? Putting it on couldn't be the obvious solution that would make him look like a total shoob would it?

Randy stood, wrapping the scarf around his neck as Howard watched from a safe distance away. Randy didn't think anything would happen, in those few moments of still silence. But then...

Fire. Heat, power shooting through his veins. This feeling-it was familiar. Not just from the feeling of a suit wrapping around him...

But from the fire that blazed inside the Ninja suit. The true power of the Tengu. He felt it take root inside his soul, replacing the gaping hole the loss of the Ninja Mask had left. His feet left the ground as a ring of fire formed around his feet, rising up over his body, revealing a suit. It was quite similar to the Ninja Suit, in fact...

It was a lot like the variation of the ninja suit that was made just for him. The Tengu Fire form. The suit was mainly scarlet red, with a black ribbon tied around his waist, black gloves with red fingers, and black stripes going down his sides. The scarf had become some sort of bandanna like garment, covering the entire lower half of his face. The scarf moved on it's own, as if the wind was blowing. Black wings extended from his back, with the same fire like red tips of the Tengu feathers. They were short, but Randy had a feeling they could get longer. His hair was jet black, with red tips that glowed slightly. His eyes filled with the same red, replacing his blue. At his feet, there were three small spikes that suggested bird feet.

He was like his favorite bird...

The Phoenix.

"Dude... That. Is. So. Honkin, BRUCE!" Howard screamed as he threw his hands into the air. The feeling was incredible, yet terribly familiar. Randy felt like he was still missing something. It still hurt, knowing that for four years he had been the Ninja... Only to lose his role. To have to go through high school again. The scarf was nice, he knew it was powerful. It just... wasn't the ninja mask. He missed it. He missed it so much, like a friend that moved away. He saw the new ninja opening the Nomicon... and almost broke down crying.

The Nomicon felt like his friend, the one that never let him down. He felt tossed aside like a piece of trash. He felt... depressed, for lack of a better word. He wanted to be Norrisvile's hero again. He wanted to be the Ninja. He wanted to throw down a smokebomb and shout out his battle cry. He wanted to swing the ninja sword and shoot an air fist and summon and earth attack and fight robots and save people...

He wanted to regain what he lost. He wanted to feel like a true hero again.

But he would never become like Macfee. He would never cause trouble for the new ninja. He wouldn't let himself do it, he would throw himself off a cliff first.

He was no longer the Ninja... But maybe he could still be a hero.

Maybe his adventures weren't over just yet.
