Dear Mom & Dad,
Greetings from the Cullen and Whitlock families on your beautiful Isle Esme!
We all arrived safely last Sunday and after a few arguments over who gets which rooms (that pixie Alice is fast, even with a baby on her hip) we've all settled in and are definitely in relaxation mode. It's been fun reconnecting with Emmett and Alice and their families after being apart for so long.
Your grandchildren are filling the house with lots of giggles and laughter (as well as tears and tantrums) as they all get to know each other. They all love the beach and we've got some keen little swimmers amongst this lot. Thank goodness for floaties is all I can say! There may have been an accident or two (Jasper said you never particularly liked that vase from Aunt Carmen anyway) and just a "heads up", there's now a new mural on the dining room wall thanks to the Whitlock twins.
Yes, it's loud (well, Emmett is here), we may run out of food (Emmett's whole family is here) and there's always dirty kids or dirty nappies. We need eyes in the back of our heads to keep track of all the kids, but we haven't lost one yet. Some days it seems half the beach has found its way inside and half the clothing has found its way outside. Rosalie declares "its five o'clock somewhere" whenever it all gets too much and is always the first one to declare "Bar Open" for the day. Alice and Bella are both happy to egg her on and just raise their glasses in solidarity; Alice said you'd be proud mom!
We all look forward to you both joining us here next weekend; your grandies are counting down the days till they see their Mesme and Poppy.
Much love,
Edward, xx
(Designated letter writer even though Emmett said I have the scrappiest handwriting.)
PS: Mom, can you please bring a few extra pillows over with you – there may have been a pillow fight or two last night. I tell you, those feathers get everywhere!
