For a pluviophile like me, the pleasant, dewy petrichor of the post rain morning left a pleasant breeze through my room as I arose for the day. The opulence of the day could not be wasted on sleep. Though the land of the living has always been my nemesis, I broke through the haze of my morning siesta with a smile gracing my face.
It was serendipity that I had decided to spend the day supine on a beach chair and enjoy my tranquil solitude. It was with euphoria that I arrived at the beach, ready for my idyllic day.
With a chatoyant gaze I found the perfect spot for my dalliance with mother nature. There was a beautiful aurora at the horizon as the sun broke through the clouds and greeted the day, overlooking its dominion like an emperor over his territory. The ocean seemed to be in a trance, resting from its zest of life to bask in the glamour of the sun. For a moment I felt as though I was a voyeur, the evanescent scene seeming too delicate for my destructive tendencies.
That thought was ephemeral as I took off my sarong and frolic to the water, the evocative waves calling to me. The next few hours were spent in leisure as my lithe form enjoyed the zestful waves.
My gaze returned to the shore to see Ranger sitting on the shore with broad shorts watching my vivacious activity. It was a quintessential moment when our eyes met, and an electric ripple sparked through me. I walked towards him, as though a string connected us, pulling us closer to each other.
I guess it was serendipity that brought us to this archetypal moment. Our eyes met, hands joined, and lips connected. The string that had brought us this close wove itself around us, forever binding.
Eternal.
