36Chp 30: Revelation (REVISED)
All alliance members watched as Jellal was placed in handcuffs offering no resistance as he was escorted away. Wendy couldn't stay silent; she lost Jellal before she wasn't going to lose him again.
The sky maiden ran forward with tears in her eyes. "Wait please you can't take him, he lost memories he doesn't remember what he's done".
"By clause thirteen of the criminal code a loss of memory is not an adequate amount of evidence needed to be damned not guilty". Lahar said, lifting his glasses. "Release them from the runes".
A soldier nodded and let down the barrier releasing the alliance group from the runes.
"No", Wendy cried out in protest.
Jella looked in her direction. "Wendy it's fine I have no intention of resisting, I may not be able to remember you and I'm sorry for that", Jellal looked over at Zodie, "We may have been friends in the past but now you have a new friend".
Zodie nodded and then looked at Erza, "And Erza, thank you and I'm sorry".
The blue head was then being escorted to the carriage Lahar stepped forward. "Any more parting words"?
"No"!
"Very well, and just know you will never see these folks again".
Jellal grew closer and closer to the carriage; it felt like a piece of Wendy was being taken from her. Wendy had to do something and something fast.
"I…I won't let you take hi-", Wendy said but was cut off by Natsu who ran up decked several guards.
"You bastards aren't taking him".
The whole alliance was shocked by Natsu's actions.
The fire dragon rushed through hordes of guards who were trying to manhandle him, nearly restraining him.
"Natsu stop, just leave me, you'll be arrested too".
Gray then jumped in and threw a couple knights off Natsu, "Natsu go now!" He ordered.
Lahar grew enraged, "ARREST THEM ALL FOR OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE".
Knights began to swarm the entire group attempting to arrest them Jura and Ichiya had no problem shaking them off, Lucy and Happy found themselves struggling. Zodie was too warned out to do anything till he looked over to see one guard grab Wendy by her arm. The sky dragon kicked him in the ankle forcing him to let go by shoving her to the ground. The knight grew mad and was about to grab her again making Zodie angry, the phoenix child took out his dagger and threw at the knight nearly missing him. Zodie shot a menacing glare at him, scarring him into backing down.
Erza began to grow frustrated and she's had enough, "THAT'S ENOUGH ALL OF YOU CUT THE CRAP!"
"Erza but why"? Natsu asked but suddenly shut his trap after the redhead gave him a death glare.
"This has gone too far, I'm the one to blame, I apologize for this disturbance, please take him away".
The knights started to back down and release any members that they restrained. They walked back over and returned to escorting Jellal. As Jellal began to walk again he stopped and turned to look at Erza. "I remember it was the color of your hair".
That one line triggered something deep inside her. As the council left Wendy fell to her knees, tears eyes filled with tears, Zodie and Carla both comforted her, Wendy started to grow chilly so Zodie took off his hoodie and gave it to Wendy to wear. Erza had gone off somewhere by herself to sulk.
About an hour later the rest of the alliance met up back at Cait shelter getting patched up from their battle. As soon as they came backLupita gave bone crushing hugs to both Wendy and Zodie, Zodie and Wendy were currently speaking with Abner and April via lacrima telling them about their mission, April let out a stream of tears happy that her friend's are alright .
"Zodie Wendy you're okay I just wanna reach through this thing and hug you both!"
"Glad you guys are alright for real April was freaking out when we lost contact", Abner said.
"Sorry we worried you guys but fairy tail and the other guilds were looking out for us". Wendy assured.
April immediately dried her tears, "Speaking of Fairy Tail, Erza there do think I could meet her".
"Ugh unfortunately Erza's feeling a little sullen right now, unfortuanelty something came up in the mission and she's been down ever since", Zodie said.
April gave off a small frown, "But hey next time we see each other I let her know she has a
Keanu came walking in putting his arms around both Zodie and Wendy, "Hey you two, come on everyones waiting for you."
"Gotta go, we'll catch up later." Zodie said.
" I've got loads of homework I need to finish", April said.
"And I need to head back to school for probation."
With that the call ended the kids were walking out of the tent when Zodie suddenly stopped her.
"Zodie, is something wrong?"
"Are you ok with everything that has happened these past days, especially with Jellal."
Wendy looked down with a sad face, "I'm still sad but I can't be as sad as Erza though because compared to her she knew Jellal much longer", She then smiled a little, "It's like a piece was taken but Erza has her friends and all of Fairy tail to fill that void, and I got you Carla and the whole cait shelter guild."
"Feeling is mutual but after hearing Richard's story of his brother I can't help but feel lamented."
Wendy stepped forward and hugged Zodie warmly, "It's been tough for the both of us but we're lucky to find people in our lives to help us through tough times.
Zodie returned the hug with a smile on his face.
Now in the outside of the main yard of the guild the alliance stood across from the cait shelter guild members. Roubal then spoke up.
"Fairy tail… Lamia scale… Blue pegasus and of course Zodie Carla and Wendy. You've all done well in defeating the oracion seis and keeping our home safe", Roubal turned to the cait trio. "I couldn't be any more proud of you three."
"Oh yeah now let's party", Natsu shouted. Ichiya and the trimens started dancing followed by Natsu Happy Gray and Lucy.
Wendy and Zodie even joined in the jubilee of their victory but it all died down when Zodie suddenly noticed the disdain on Roubal's face.
"Uh master why the sour face I mean this is a celebration isn't it?" He asked.
Suddenly the alliance members stopped celebrating as they noticed how the residents of the cait shelter didn't move and had straight faces.
"I'm terribly sorry I neglected to inform you of the nirvit people", Roubal looked toward Wendy and Zodie. "To start we are not the descendants of the nirvits, we are the nirvits themself". The whole alliance was then surprised at this shocking revelation. "The creation of Nirvana was done by hand over four-hundred years ago."
Wendy and Zodie blinked in confusion.
"Four-hundred years ago my people were looking for a way to stop wars from raging across the world, I created a powerful device to upturn good and evil the name of this weapon was."
"Nirvanna", Zodie said.
"Yes I succeeded with my plan and my people made nirvana our home, but soon after I learned of the dangers my weapon could bring."
"Inbalance by way of destruction", Carla spoke.
"Because Nirvana turned everyone to the light it threw the people into chaos", Wendy finisdhed.
"Good cannot exist without evil and so Nirvana worked a little too well. Those who were full of light were soon overturned by darkness."
Jura spoke up, "Just like what we saw with Sherry and Richard."
"Yes and due to all of this."
"Your people ended up slaughtering one another leaving you as the sole survivor, but master how did you manage to live for so long?" Zodie asked.
"I haven't my boy"!
Wendy and Zodie both gasped.
"I too perished long ago… what you three have known for your whole lives is my spectral form".
Wendy threw her hand over her mouth, "S..so you mean you're a ghost"?
Roubal nodded.
Zodie narrowed his way toward Roubal to touch him only for his hand to slip right through him confirming that it was true.
"N…no way"!
"This… this can't be", Wendy spoke, clenching her fist.
Roubals body started flickering as did the other members of the guild who started to vanish.
The cait shelter trio darted their eyes around as one member vanished after the other, "Wait a minute is everyone here a spectral as well, what's happening?" Carla asked.
"My children I'm so sorry for deceiving you all these years but each member here were nothing more than illusions created by my magic".
"Incredible, illusion with personalities of their own."
"That takes a lot of magic power", Jura added.
"But what about Lupita and Keanu they can't be illusions, I remember training with Keanu and Lupita bandaging me and cooking delicious food".
Wendy Zodie and Carla look toward Lupita and Keanu who were silent and had their heads hung down low. Then in a flash of light their appearance changed til standing in their place where there were two bears who then ran off in the distance.
"Unbelievable holographic illusions they were bears all along", Carla said.
"I resided here alone. It was in ruin and I yearned for companions. I made all of these illusions, then seven years ago a young man came by and dropped off a little girl."
Wendy blinked in realization that Roubal was talking about Jellal.
The master turned toward Zodie. "Then not to long after that I found this young man nearby all alone, I didn't want Wendy to be alone with only a ghost and illusions to talk to so I took him in as well, I then realized these kids would need a form of parental guidance so I used my illusion magic on two bear mates to act as their guardians."
"Stop it! I dont want to hear anymore! Please don't leave us." Wendy cried out with her hands over her ears.
Zodie's fist began to tighten. "So none of this was real then!? We were never a part of a real guild!"
"So what was this all about? You took us in to deal with your own mad creation then dropped a major bombshell on us so you could finally rest in peace!?" Carla asked frustrated.
"Wendy…Carla…and Zodie I'm so sorry I've made you feel this way but you no longer need a foster family, you have friends and allies now."
Roubals body began to slowly vanish as he smiled at the trio. The three gritted their teeth still crying.
"Your future has only begun."
"No…no! Master please don't leave me to!" Zodie ran over to Roubal but before he could reach him his essence had vanished with magical particles spreading off into the sky. Even the buildings around them started vanishing suddenly the kids noticed that their cait shelter guild marks started to vanish. The phoenix child desperately tried to keep his mark from disappearing but it was to no avail.
"MAAASTEERRR!" Both Wendy and Zodie shouted while crying."
Erza walks up to them both and brings them in for a hug. "The pain you two feel today, you must bury it in the arms of your beloved friends. You will never forget them, but you must be sure that you are not trapped in the past, and continue to move forward. I'm sure he would want that".
Zodie and Wendy looked up at Erza giving them a warm smile.
"Come with us to Fairy Tail."
The rest of the alliance were waiting for the Cait shelter trio
"Those poor kids." Lucyy said.
"Living their whole life in a make believe guild's gotta be rough." Said Gray
"No wonder why I had never heard of Cait shelter up until now." Sherry said.
"Indeed I never gave it any judgment even when we first met them." Lyon said.
"You think they'll be ok." Happy said.
"They just need time to adjust but joining up with us will help them heal." Erza said.
Wendy, Zodie, and Carla were packing their belongings feeling distraught.
"You two get everything you need?" Carla asked.
"Yeah we're ready." Wendy said.
The girls looked over at Zodie who was quiet and looking down. The girls walked over to Zodie placing a reassuring hand on him.
"Come on there's nothing else here for us anymore and thinking about what Roubal did it seems that it was bound to happen." Carla said.
Zodie looked up and gave a smile, Wendy offered her hand to Zodie which he took and the three walked out together ready to start the newest chapter of their life.
