AN: Sorry guys, I wasn't sure how I wanted to end this chapter. It just ran away with me and I loved writing this so much. It's all fluff and sap and romance and probably too much but honestly, I feel like they needed it. Hope you all enjoy it!
Sidenote: The ending part gets a tad raunchy not a lot but, I mean it's a wedding night so…no sex though. I really debated it but not on this platform. The song used is "When I look at you" by Miley Cyrus but the version I listened to while writing it was by Julia Sheer.
"What do you mean?" I asked eyeing her.
"Dimitri take off your vest and you two meet me by the dancefloor," she smiled. Dimitri took his vest off as she made her way to the microphone.
"Ladies and gentlemen, tonight, we have yet another surprise. I'm going to need my helpers, Paul, Aj, and Zoya to come assist me," she smiled. Dimitri and I laughed at the eagerness on their faces as we went and stood where she directed us. The kids went and stood behind a draped table that I hadn't noticed earlier. Zoya went to reach for something but Paul stopped her. This has obviously been planned and rehearsed. "Since we have everyone here tonight, Dimitri and Rose have decided to surprise everyone with a gender reveal. Only they have no idea how we're doing it. Paul, Aj, can you bring the supplies?"
They both smiled and reached under the table. "Since I know Dimitri and Rose's competitive nature and how they would never turn down an opportunity to attack the other," she said as Paul and Aj both stood up with super soaker water guns in their hands. They walked towards us. "In each of these guns is paint, pink for girl or blue for boy. Like I said, you can say no, I have a back up plan."
"This is awesome!" I laughed. I was sad to see this dress get ruined but, it was absolutely perfect for us. "You're going down comrade!"
"There's no winning or losing!" he laughed. We both grabbed the guns from Paul and Aj.
"Doesn't matter. I'm going to win," I teased back. Lissa instructed us to spread apart and then started a countdown. When she got to one, we both started shooting. His white shirt was quickly streaked with pink. I looked down and saw blue across my dress. I gasped excitedly then looked up to Dimitri. He had a huge grin on his face and pointed his head towards the crowd. I looked over to see everyone confused, I could tell that a few had connected the dots. Olena had tears and her hand covering her mouth in shock. Adrian was laughing. Vika was squealing but most everyone else looked like they didn't know how to react.
"Surprise!" Dimitri told the confused crowd.
"It's twins!" I exclaimed. The crowd cheered as I wrapped Dimitri in a hug. Then I felt something wet hitting my arm and turned to see the 3 kids with guns of their own but smaller versions, also filled with paint. I laughed and grabbed my gun from the ground where I'd put it. Dimitri and I went after the kids until Dimitri hit me again. Then I turned my gun on him. I accidentally hit Vika and laughed before she pulled out her own water gun with paint.
"What?" I said shocked. I turned and saw Lissa had pulled out a bucket with dozens of more guns. She smiled.
"Couldn't let you two have all the fun," she shrugged. I laughed and turned my gun at her. quickly it turned into a chaos of everyone shooting each other and running around and dodging. Even Olena had joined in though not many dared to shoot at her. When my gun ran out Dimitri grabbed my hand and pulled me under the draped table that had hid the guns. We were gasping for air from laughing and running like mad men. He kissed me as he pulled me onto his lap.
"Is this what you expected on your wedding night?" Dimitri asked with a grin.
"Not at all," I said shaking my head. I turned and smiled at him. "It's a million times better."
"I think I agree. A paint gun fight seems perfect for us," he said leaning down and kissing me again. When we pulled away, I looked at our clothes streaked in pink and blue.
"So, one of each huh? What do you think about that?" I asked him.
"I think it's perfect."
"And if it had been two girls?" I countered.
"Still perfect," he grinned I rolled my eyes at him. "As long as they're healthy and happy, they're perfect. I do love the idea of one each though."
"Me too!" I smiled. That's when I noticed the sound had kind of died down. "It's quiet out there."
"Let's check," he said grabbing my hand and helping me out. It looked like most everyone that had guns were out of ammo as the each came and dumped the gun back into the bucket.
"Congratulations!" Vika exclaimed hugging me from out of no where.
"Thank you!" I laughed. She was streaked with paint herself.
"I can't wait to spoil my niece and nephew! This is so great! Two!" she exclaimed. I laughed as she turned to hug Dimitri and Olena came up to me. She was relatively clean but had a few streaks on her.
"I would hug you but, I'm a mess," I laughed. She wiped her hand in the air like that was ridiculous and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so happy for you moya milaya Roza (my sweet Rose). I can't believe it. TWINS!" she exclaimed pulling me back to arms length before pulling me in for another hug. After a few seconds she pulled away again. She then turned to Dimitri and hugged him as I turned to find Babushka covered in paint. I laughed because of course she participated.
"You're a little dirty there," I teased. She smiled back with a semi-evil grin like she'd stood her own ground during the fight. I laughed again. She pulled me into a hug surprising me. She's normally not very affectionate.
"The road isn't always easy but trust in each other and you'll have a long joyous marriage," she whispered again shocking me because she usually only gave me warnings, never good news.
"Thank you, Yeva," I told her pulling back. She nodded before turning towards Dimitri. After that it became a blur of hugs and congratulations. Adrian told us to name them after him which earned a growl from Dimitri. Luckily, he didn't mention already knowing. Christian was surprisingly nice only exchanging one or two smart remarks. Mia practically cried from excitement and said she can't wait to help with the baby shower with Lissa and Vika. I laughed at that. Mark promised to keep a stock of anything I'm craving at the diner which earned a laugh from Dimitri and a hug from me.
I couldn't remember a time when I'd felt surrounded by this much love and happiness. As the hugs and well wishes died down, Lissa announced it was time for cake. She cut both of us a slice. I glared up at Dimitri playfully. I knew we were both about to get messy.
"I'll agree to be nice to you if you agree the same," Dimitri suggested.
"Whats the fun in that? We're already covered in paint," I asked with a grin.
"Oh, it's on," he smirked.
"Just avoid the clothes. They're stained with paint but, I don't want them stained with cake too," I laughed noticing it was red velvet, my favorite. We both turned our backs to each other to get a chunk of cake to 'feed' to each other. We turned back towards each other both grinning mischievously.
"You know you two might as well just smash the whole plates at each other," Lissa laughed. "Ok, one..two…three."
We both reached up at each other and smashed the cake in each others faces laughing the whole time. I twisted trying to get his to land in my mouth as it landed all over my cheek, lips, and chin. Surprisingly I did get a bite or two in my mouth also.
"That's delicious!" I laughed as we both pulled back and surveyed the damage I'd done. He had it on both cheeks, lips, and his nose.
"It is really good," he smiled back.
"Hey, you've got a little something there," I teased gesturing to his mouth.
"Oh yea? Is it noticeable?" he joked back. I shook my head.
"Nah, not at all," I laughed. I leaned up a licked a bit from his chin."There all clean."
"Oh I'm sure," he chuckled wiping some from my nose and licking it off his finger. By then Olena popped up.
"Ok you two, go clean up while Lissa and I cut this for everyone," she laughed grabbing a cake knife.
"Ok but, can you save us an actual piece. Like a big one for me," I grinned.
"Roza, you can't have an entire layer of cake," Dimitri teased. I fake gasped and slapped his chest playfully.
"I'm not that bad!" I laughed.
"Yet," he joked back.
"Oh you've got jokes. Let's go clean up asshat," I smiled playfully shoving his shoulder. We made our way into the house.
"Asshat? I plan a romantic beautiful wedding for you and get called names?" he asked acting offended.
"Yea, when you act like one calling me a cow," I said pretending to be annoyed but I couldn't get the smile off my face long enough to be believable. By now we'd reached the kitchen. Dimitri lifted me up and onto the counter.
"I never called you a cow. I just know you and red velvet cake," he smirked.
"Mhmmm," I hummed crossing my arms.
"You're beautiful, and tiny. Seriously, you're a pipsqueak," he smiled.
"Everyone is to you, you're a Russian giant!" I laughed.
"Nah, just a normal Russian," he smiled. He leaned in close to me. "You're a little dirty."
"Oh yea?" I asked copying him earlier. "You going to help me clean up?"
"Maybe," he smirked playfully before leaning in and licking cake off my face.
"Comrade!" I laughed.
"Hmm you taste delicious," he smirked before doing it again. I laughed and pretended to try and pull away.
"You're gross," I teased.
"Nah, I'm your husband now. I licked it so it's mine," he teased using an old line I used to use on him while we were growing up when I didn't want to share with him.
"Oh, is that the game we're playing?" I laughed. "Then I think it's my turn."
I joked before swiping my tongue up his chin getting the cake and icing gathered there.
"Mmmm you're right, you are delicious," I smiled before doing it again.
"Alright, you got me back, now you need to stop unless you want to leave this party early," he teased pulling back.
"Oh yea? Cake turn you on?" I teased but honestly, I was in the same boat. I blamed mine on hormones though. Well that and just Dimitri honestly. He doesn't have to do much.
"Roza, you turn me on all the time. Cake has nothing to do with it," he smirked voicing my thoughts. "But your tongue on my face makes me start thinking about it on other parts and well…."
"Ok, stop there," I laughed stopping him because if he continued, we would be missing for a lot longer than planned. He chuckled and pulled away while getting two wash rags and getting them wet. He put one to the side as he worked on wiping my face gently trying not to mess up my make-up. when he was done, he kissed my nose gently as I grabbed the other cloth.
"I know you're going to get annoyed at me for asking but, how's your chest? You're not pushing yourself too hard with all this today are you?" I asked.
"I'm fine. Promise. I've barely done any lifting today."
"Except lifting your cow wife on the counter," I said playfully.
"Roza," he growled. I smiled at him to let him know I was kidding. By then I was done wiping his face so I put the cloth on the counter beside me.
"Ready to go back out there?" He asked. I reached for him and pulled him closer to me.
"Give me a minute or two," I told him laying my head on his shoulder facing his neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him as he rested his head against mine.
"Getting tired?" he asked softly.
"Yes and no. I feel lame if I say it's been a long day but, these babies are draining some times. But, I'm enjoying this party and don't want it to end right now. I also am ready to get to our wedding night," I smirked against his chest.
"Now, I'm all for that," he chuckled. "I get what you mean though. At least you haven't been sick today."
"Don't jinx it," I warned. He laughed as I lay there. We stayed there for a few minutes before Lissa came looking for us.
"You good in here?" She asked coming into the kitchen.
"Yea, we were just taking a breather for a minute," I told her pulling away from Dimitri.
"Ah, gotcha. You ready to wrap it up?" she asked.
"No, not at all. I just needed a couple of minutes. We're good now," I told her. Dimitri reached up and pulled me off the counter.
"I understand that," she laughed. Dimitri kissed the side of my head and nodded towards the back door signaling me he was going back out to give me a minute or two with Lissa. I went over and hugged her.
"This has been perfect Liss, seriously. And that reveal? So awesome. I'm sad the dress is ruined but, it was seriously great for us," I told her.
"I'm glad you liked it. I was worried you wouldn't want to get the clothes messy but, I figured it was perfect for you two," she laughed.
"You know I'll shoot Dimitri with a water gun any chance I get," I smirked. "Have you talked to Chris yet?"
"No, I will here in a minute though," she smiled.
"You seem calmer about it?"
"Well between my talk with you and him actually being here, I am," she smiled.
"Good, I'm happy for you," I told her. I was going to continue but then I heard Vika hollering for me. I laughed. "Guess that's our cue to return."
"You know she'll send a search party," she teased.
"True. Let's go," I smiled wrapping my arm around her shoulder as we both made our way outside.
Right as I hit the dance floor, my all-time favorite line dance, "Copperhead Road" came on. Mia dragged me and Lissa onto the dance floor but before I started, I ran and grabbed Dimitri who was standing on the side.
"Come dance with me," I told him pulling him towards the floor.
"I don't line dance. That's for you and your girls," he laughed.
"Come on, it's my wedding you can't say no. It's my favorite," I laughed.
"OUR wedding but, fine," he relented walking out with me. Luckily, they had barely started so we jumped right in. I had already previously taught this one to Adrian at the bar in LA so he was off to the side showing Sydney though she looked a little uncomfortable with it, she was trying so I was proud of her. I love watching Adrian push her out of her comfort zone. Nick was with Mia, Vika, and Lissa having them teach him. Poor guy somehow worked in the music industry but had no rhythm. Christian was dancing with them surprisingly doing really well. As the song progressed more and more people popped onto the dance floor. Paul and Aj cam over by Liss, Dimitri and I and we taught them how to do it.
When it was over, they played an older song that I'd forced Dimitri to learn a waltz too so I grabbed him and had him dance with me.
"Remember when Tasha said you don't dance? Look at you Mr. twinkle toes," I teased.
"I didn't. I've only ever danced for you," he said honestly.
"You were in a boy band. You definitely dance," I joked my heart lifting at his words.
"Excuse you, rock band, thank you," he said acting offended as he spun me out.
"Pop rock," I laughed spinning back in. We missed a step or two but, I was surprised we remembered it as well as we did.
"I miss my dancing with the stars phase. Though lyrical and contemporary were my favorites," I smiled as we continued dancing.
"I was glad when your dancing with the stars phase ended. I wasn't forced to learn all these dances that I had no interest in," he teased.
"Oh, so you didn't enjoy it?" I asked as I came in and wrapped my leg around his hips as he dipped me backwards. "My body pressed against yours, grinding, rubbing, getting all hot and sweaty together."
"I didn't say there weren't parts I didn't enjoy. Especially since we'd started dating by then. That's the only way you convinced me to do it," he laughed.
"So, you're saying if we weren't dating, you wouldn't have danced with me. I could be very persuasive," I winked at him as he spun me again.
"You probably would have convinced me to but, I wouldn't have been so easy."
"Oh Comrade, you're always easy," I quipped with a smile. He spun me around and I fell into him as he dipped me down and the music stopped. I smiled up at him.
"Only for you Roza. Only you," he said sweetly as I came up and kissed him. He brought us back up to standing as he kissed me. He pulled away and put his forehead against mine.
"You were the only dance partner I wanted or will ever want," I said breathlessly. He brought his head up and kissed my forehead as I smiled into the kiss.
"Come on, lets go get you something to drink," Dimitri said pulling away.
"Wow Little Red. Who knew you could dance so well?" Adrian said coming up to us as we exited the dance floor. Sydney was beside him and handed both of us a water.
"Thank you," I smiled at her. "I was going to major in dance and play softball in college. Full scholarship by sophomore year."
"Wow. I'm impressed. Can you do contemporary? Might have you choreograph my next music video," he smiled.
"Yes I can. We'll see if I can fit you in my schedule," I teased. "I'm going to go grab a piece of cake. You can come with if you want."
"I think Syd and I are going to go dance but enjoy your cake," he smiled leading Sydney out to the dance floor.
The night flew by much like that. They played a few more line dances. I mingled and talked with family. One of my favorite dances was when Paul came up and asked me for a dance. It was extremely adorable. Aj, decided he had to follow the lead so he asked Lissa to dance with him. I hoped the photographer grabbed pictured of it. I also at some point realized we also had a videographer filming it all. I threw the bouquet and surprisingly Lissa caught it. I laughed and sent her a wink. Also, surprisingly, Christian actually cheered for her when she caught it. We did the garter belt and when Dimitri flicked it, it hit Adrian in the face and landed in his hands. He just smiled and shrugged. Halfway through the night I decided to give Dimitri a surprise. I had Vika sneak into the house and grab my guitar. I quickly made sure it was in tune before going and grabbing the microphone as Vika grabbed me a chair.
"Hey everyone. So, Dimitri has obviously been full of surprises today. I figured now's my time to surprise him. I've been working on this song for him for a couple of weeks now, what better time to sing it to you than our wedding," I said directing the last sentence at him as he appeared at the edge of the dance floor. "Comrade, we've had a rough ride to get us here and though there will be moments I will always regret, I know we had to take that journey to get here. As we both mentioned in our vows, I haven't always been open and I haven't always let people in. You managed to shatter those walls and honestly, if you hadn't come around, I have no idea who I would be today. You've seen me at some of my lowest points and celebrated with me at my highest. Nobody has ever made me feel as valued and beautiful as you have. You make me believe in my own strength and when I need it, you lend me yours. You're my light in the darkness, all of my inspiration, and the song in my heart. This songs for you."
I already had tears in my eyes as I started playing but I took a deep breath and willed them away as I looked down at my guitar and started playing.
Everybody needs inspiration
Everybody needs a song
A beautiful melody
When the night's so long
'Cause there is no guarantee
That this life is easy
Yeah, when my world is falling apart
When there's no light to break up the dark
That's when I, I
I look at you
When I got to the "I look at you" part I looked up at Dimitri. He was still standing on the edge of the dance floor but, he looked like he wanted to move closer. I'm not sure how I could tell, I could just read him.
When the waves
Are flooding the shore and I can't
Find my way home anymore
That's when I, I
I look at you
When I look at you, I see forgiveness
I see the truth
You love me for who I am
Like the stars hold the moon
Right there where they belong
And I know I'm not alone
At some point as I was singing, he gave up on trying to stand back as he slowly walked towards me. Honestly, I knew there was a crowd but, in this moment it was just Dimitri and I. He knelt in front of me and put his hand on my knee like he couldn't not touch me. I smiled as I sang it to him.
Yeah, when my world is falling apart
When there's no light to break up the dark
That's when I, I
I look at you
When the waves
Are flooding the shore and I can't
Find my way home anymore
That's when I, I
I look at you
You appear just like a dream to me
Just like Kaleidoscope colors that
Cover me, all I need
Every breath that I breathe
Don't you know you're beautiful?
Yeah, yeah, yeah
When the waves
Are flooding the shore and I can't
Find my way home anymore
That's when I, I
I look at you
I look at you
You appear just like a dream
As soon as my fingers stopped on the guitar, Dimitri reached up and gently pulled it away laying it on the ground beside us. I thought I saw a flash of wetness on his face but, he didn't pause for long. He dropped onto both knees and leaned up to clasp my head in his hands as he kissed me pouring all of his love into the kiss. I slid to the edge of the chair to get closer to him wrapping my hands around the back of his neck. I felt a small streak of wetness on his cheek and honestly I wasn't for sure if it was from him or me. After a minute or so he pulled back and rested his forehead against mine.
"If I don't stop now, I won't stop at all and our parents are here," he said breathlessly. I smiled as I reached up and pushed the mic to make sure it didn't pick up his words. I doubted it did but better to be safe than sorry. "Shit, I forgot that was there. That was beautiful Roza. I plan an entire wedding and reception and you manage to outdo it all with a song."
"Never," I sighed against his lips kissing him softly again. It was quick because he was right, our parents were here.
"You're my song too. You've saved me more than I ever saved you, even when you weren't with me. You've never needed me to save you, you were always strong enough on your own but I've definitely needed you to save me."
"Comrade, I wasn't lying when I say if I never had you, I have no idea where I would have ended up. You've protected me, fought for me, made sure I kept my heart open every time I tried to close it. You saved me just by loving me."
"Ok," he relented kissing me softly again. "I need to pull away unless we want this night to end already."
"Not quite. It's too magical of a night to have it end already. Though I'm not sure how late I'll make it," I admitted. My feet were already hurting and I was already getting tired.
"Ok, let's go make some rounds then we'll call it a night. I think Karo and Sonya are about to head out soon anyways to get the kids to bed," he said leaning back and standing up. He reached a hand down and helped me stand up.
"I'll take care of the guitar. Go mingle," he said pulling me to him and kissing me once more. He pulled back and moved to the side to grab my guitar. I hadn't made it five steps before I was attacked by Viktoria hugging me.
"Oh my Gaaah!" she squealed. "That was beautiful! And his reaction? You have literally ruined any chance of me ever getting married because if it's not like this, I don't want it!"
"You'll find it one day," I laughed.
"Ugh all the boys I've dated are so…not this," she said disgusted. Her and Nikolai had broken up a couple months ago and I guess she still wasn't quite over it.
"Dimitri wasn't like this at your age either. This is all new and its taken what 15-20 years for us to get to this point. Give it time," I smiled pulling her off the dance floor as the music started up again.
"Well hopefully it doesn't take me 15 to 20 years," she laughed.
"It won't. You've still got time. I promise," I told her.
"Speaking of…Nick's kind of hot," she said looking around and finding him talking to Adrian.
"Well, go talk to him. Sydney's over there, go mingle. He just got out of a serious relationship a bit ago," I told her. I didn't really think she was his type but, it was worth a try. Who was I to shoot her down? She smiled and made her way over there. I saw Sonya and Karolina (along with Karo's new man, Peter), getting the kids together. I made my way over to them.
"Heading out?" I asked.
"Sonya and Mama are. They're being amazing and taking the kids tonight including Aj," Karolina said. "Girl, that song was beautiful! Pretty much made everyone cry."
"Thank you. I had great inspiration," I smiled.
"Yes, you did," Sonya laughed. She came over and hugged me.
"Welcome to the family officially, though you've always been part of it," she said. "Sorry we're cutting out. I'm exhausted and the kids need sleep."
"Don't worry about it. I feel you on that. I'm exhausted but, I also never want tonight to end," I laughed.
"Don't wear yourself out too much. you've still got your wedding night," Karolina laughed.
"Karo, Mama Belikova's here!" I laughed at her.
"Girl, you're pregnant with twins and you were practically infertile so, she knows you must have been going at it like bunnies to get there."
"Karolina!" I gasped my jaw dropping. Her and Sonya burst out laughing.
"On that note, I think it's my turn to get out of here," Olena laughed coming over and hugging me. "Congratulations. I know no one would ever love my son like you do. I'm so proud to call you my daughter."
"Thank you mama Belikova. Thanks for always being my fill in mama," I said softly.
"I'm always here for you," she said pulling away. She hollered at the kids who had wandered a little. "I love you. I'm going to head out before I hear anything else that a mother does not need to hear."
"Like how they're going to be going at it like bunnies tonight?" Karo teased.
"Karolina Belikova! Stop!" I laughed embarrassed. I reached over and hugged Sonya.
"Bye. Love you. You look beautiful by the way," I told her.
"Thank you, you do too," she smiled pulling away. She grabbed Katya's car seat that she was already strapped into and sleeping in and followed Olena. The kids trailed behind. Olena had run into Dimitri and was telling him bye so I hugged the kids then let them follow.
"Karo! What was that?" I laughed.
"That was hilarious. I've never actually seen you embarrassed," she laughed. That's when I got an evil idea.
"So, peter, how are you liking the wedding? Giving you any ideas?" I smiled. Karolina choked on that one.
"Rose!" she exclaimed. Then perfect Peter ruined it by saying the best thing possible for her.
"I've known since I met this beautiful woman that she's it for me. It will happen eventually. For now, we're just enjoying the ride and taking our time," he smiled wrapping his arm around her shoulder and kissing her head.
"Ok, your perfect. I'm going to walk away now," I laughed.
"Like we haven't been forced to watch your perfect all evening," she teased as I walked away. I jokingly raised my hand and flipped her off as I went to talk to someone else. I found Mia sitting at a table by herself.
"Why so glum sugarplum?" I teased sitting beside her.
"Sorry. I don't mean to be," she sighed. "I'm fine."
"And the truth now?"
"Why is he just so perfect?" she asked bitterly. I looked to see where she was looking though, I already knew who she had her eyes on. Eddie was standing with Adrian and they were laughing about something.
"Because you love him and he loves you but you won't let yourself be together because you're stubborn," I told her honestly.
"Shut up. I don't need the truth right now," she smiled.
"You're right," I sighed leaning back in my chair and crossing my arms looking over at him. "Who does he think he is showing up here with his perfectly styled hair and gorgeous smile and have the decency to laugh with other people!"
"You're ridiculous," she laughed.
"Maybe but you're laughing," I pointed out. "I'm just saying. Doesn't he know he's supposed to lock himself up in his room and cry himself to sleep because you dumped him."
"He does look like he's perfectly fine. How can he do that? I'm miserable. He's fine. It's not fair!"
"Well first off, you broke up with him so if you're so miserable why don't you go fix that? He's glanced over here no less than 5 times since I joined you. That boy is so in love with you, it's ridiculous."
"Loves not real though. It doesn't last," she sighed. Then as if she just realized where we were, she back tracked. "I mean for me. People like me. You and Dimitri are forever."
"What makes you so different? Dimitri and I both broke each other's hearts plus our own a few times and we still managed to get here. You could too. You've just got to woman up and take a chance on it," I looked up to see Eddie coming over towards us. I stood up. "Look it's your perfect opportunity."
"Hey Edison," I told him as I hugged him when he came up. "You look great tonight!"
"Thanks," he blushed. "The wedding and song and everything have been beautiful tonight."
"Thank you. Dimitri really out did himself huh?" I laughed. "Well, I was about to go get a drink. I'll leave you two to talk. By the way, Mia thinks you look superhot tonight!"
"Traitor!" she called after me. I just laughed and kept walking. The next hour or so went like this. Stopping to talk to people, dancing, eating. A few more people had left so our group was getting smaller and smaller. I currently was sitting at a table by myself watching Mia and Vika teach Adrian and Nick the "Cotton Eyed Joe". Dimitri had just left to get me another drink. I propped my feet up on the chair beside me and kicked my heels off. They were small but still painful.
"Hey," Lissa said sitting in the chair beside me. She put a piece of cake down between us with two forks. "Brought you a present"
"You're an angel," I laughed grabbing the fork. I took a bite and moaned softly. "This cake is heaven!"
"Definitely," she laughed taking a bite herself.
"Ok, don't keep me in suspense. How'd it go?"
"Brilliantly. He was super excited. I knew he would be but I couldn't have imagined he would be that excited. He's already making plans and picking out names. It's adorable really."
"That's awesome Liss! I'm so happy for you. I'm excited that our kids are going to grow up together. And they'll have Aj to look after them."
"He'll definitely be a great big brother," she smiled.
"Did you tell him you wanted to move in with him?"
"I did. He's going to start looking for bigger places to show me when I come out to visit in the next couple of weeks," she smiled.
"And if you get the internship in New York?"
"We'll figure it out but, I'm really hoping for the one in LA."
"That's awesome Liss. I think you'll get it. I mean any company would be lucky to have you work with them. Plus, Once we decide to announce the wedding and share some photos, you know I'm going to tell the world you designed these master pieces and you'll become a household name in no time."
"From your lips to God's ears," she laughed. By this point Dimitri had made his way back. He handed me a glass of punch and lifted my feet and put them in his lap as he started rubbing them.
"Speaking of God, holy shit that feels amazing," I sighed leaning my head back in exaggeration.
"I aim to please," he chuckled. I lifted my head and looked at Lissa raising an eyebrow at her.
"Go ahead," she laughed. Dimitri looked at me confused but also like it was a normal thing…which it probably is around us.
"Lissa's pregnant. She just told Christian tonight. No one else knows yet," I blurted excitedly.
"Congratulations," he said looking excited for her.
"You know what that means? Our kids are going to be born in the same year…they're going to be in the same grade and going to get to grow up together like we did!" I said excitedly. He laughed at my rambling.
"That is exciting. At least we know the kids will already have at least on friend," he joked.
"Um our kids are all going to be the most popular kids ever. Have you seen us? I mean former cheer captain and Prom queen, Football star and high school hottie, badass extraordinaire me," I pointed out.
"Oh, is that what you were in high school?" Lissa laughed.
"I mean yea, I was recruited by colleges my sophomore year and I didn't even have great grades. Junior year, people couldn't stop talking about me, I was practically famous already," I smiled though junior year was a bitter year for me. That was when the miscarriage happened and I quit sports and there were so many rumors I couldn't even keep up.
"You definitely were a popular topic of conversation from kindergarten on," Dimitri teased. "You can blame it on your shy meek personality."
"I'm loud and proud ok?" I laughed. There was a small pause in conversation before I continued. "Tonight, has been amazing. Thank you, guys, so much. I'm blown away."
"I'm glad you liked it. I had a lot of fun helping Dimitri with it," Lissa smiled proudly.
"Liked it? No. I freaking loved it. Better than anything I could have dreamed of. I do have a question for you though Dimitri," I grinned turning towards him. "You planned this amazing wedding; did you plan a honey moon?"
"Did you think I would forget something like that?" he smirked. "We leave tomorrow."
"What? Seriously?" I asked shocked. "I was just teasing."
"I'm not. We do leave tomorrow. Lissa already packed you a bag," I turned towards her and she smiled mischievously.
"Do I get to know where we're going?"
"When we get there," he grinned. I shook my head knowing he wouldn't crack right now. I looked around to see who was all still here. Mia and Eddie had mysteriously disappeared. Sydney and Adrian were slow dancing on the dance floor. Butch and Stephanie were sitting at a table talking. Nick and Viktoria were standing by the food, snacking. Peter and Sonya were sitting at a different table. Christian was walking towards us.
"Hey princess. Want to start packing the food up and get out of here?" he asked coming over and rubbing her shoulders.
"Sure. A bath sounds lovely," she smiled at him.
"Let's do it," I said sliding my feet out of Dimitris lap.
"Absolutely not. We already have a clean up crew planned out. You just go make your goodbyes and go have you wedding night," she smiled her face turning red at the not so subtle inuendo. I laughed.
"Are you sure? I mean it was our wedding, I can clean it up," I told her.
"Nope. Go." She said adamantly.
"Fine, if you insist," I smiled standing up. She also stood and I went over and hugged her. "Thank you. Seriously. It was amazing. I also really loved the reveal. It was perfect. I'm going to have to figure out how to top it for yours."
"Why am I not surprised you already know?" Christian smirked from beside Lissa. I laughed pulling away from her.
"Because I'm awesome and its hard to keep secrets around me," I joked. All three of them looked at me then looked at our surroundings then back at me. I laughed. "Ok but they were actively trying to hide it from me. That's different."
"Whatever you say," he nodded. I just rolled my eyes. I reached over and hugged him. "Congratulations daddy. I'm happy for you two."
"I really want to make a daddy kink joke but, I'm too excited and Dimitri would probably kill me," he laughed. I shook my head and laughed as I stepped away back towards Dimitri.
"Goodnight. Thank y'all. I will see you later. Love you." I smiled before grabbing Dimitri's hand and turning towards everyone else.
20-30 minutes later we had finally said good bye to everyone and were ready to go inside. Lissa, Christian, Sydney and Vika had gotten everything mostly cleaned up. What was left, Dimitri was apparently hiring a crew to come clean when we leave tomorrow.
As we made our way to the back door Dimitri stopped. I turned towards him confused before he shocked me by scooping me up bridal style.
"Comrade, put me down. I don't want you to hurt yourself," I exclaimed.
"I'm fine, it's tradition to carry the bride across the threshold," he smiled. I just shook my head knowing I wasn't going to talk him out of it. Luckily, he did have most of my weight on his left side. As he entered, he grinned down at me.
"Welcome home Mrs. Belikov," he leaned down and kissed me before proceeding further into the house.
"Ok you carried me in, I can walk now," I laughed.
"I'm good." He smiled carrying me up the stairs and towards the bedroom. "Bed, shower, or bath?"
"I do want to go straight to the fun stuff but, ever since Lissa mentioned a bath, I've kinda been dreaming about one. Do you mind?"
"Not at all, you start your make up stuff and I'll turn on the bath," he said walking me into the bathroom and setting me down in front of the counter. I stood on my tip toes and kissed him quickly before letting him go. As he turned towards the bath tub I playfully slapped his ass. He turned and raised on eyebrow at me.
"I couldn't help it," I smirked. "You're really working those dress pants."
"So it's like that huh?" he asked with a smirk. "Ok, two can play this game."
He then turned back towards the tub. He'd rolled his sleeves up earlier and I got distracted watching his forearms flex as he bent and turned the water on, even if he had dried pink and blue paint on them. What is it that's so hot about a man when they roll up their sleeves when wearing a button up? He turned and caught me staring and raised an eyebrow. "Shouldn't you be doing something right now?"
"I was distracted admiring my husband," I shrugged. He reached over and poured some bath oils in the water before standing up and walking towards me.
"Let me help you then, wife," he smirked. He grabbed my makeup wipes and started cleaning my face. I tilted my head back so he could have a better angle. When he thought it was good enough, he pulled away and I opened my eyes to find him staring down at me. "Beautiful."
He turned me to face the mirror as his hands ran up my neck and towards my head rubbing softly as he went. He then slowly started pulling all my bobby pins out. I laughed a couple times as he got frustrated with a few. I also laughed as this was my first time really seeing us together tonight. The sun had gone down earlier so the only light we had was from the twinkle lights and one or two brighter lights they'd put up. We were both streaked with pink and blue from the paint that had dried. It was in our hair which I'd never realized earlier. Most of it on our arms had rubbed off but there were still quite a few streaks left. Finally, Dimitri had gotten all of the pins out and as my hair all fell down he rubbed my scalp.
"I love that you're letting it grow back out again," he said softly. I moaned softly at his hands in my hair.
"I am too," I said just as softly. My hair was now down to about halfway down my shoulder blades. He continued rubbing for a few seconds before stopping.
"Let's get you in the bath," he said.
"I have a surprise for you," I smirked at him through the mirror.
"Yea but you have to unwrap it to find out what it is," I grinned flashing my eyes down to my dress so he would get the hint.
"I think I can do that," he grinned salaciously. He slid his hands down my back to where my zipper was on the dress. The zipper wasn't very big since the dress already had a pretty low back. He unzipped it slowly before peeling the sleeves down my shoulders and letting the dress slide down. He stepped back as I stepped out of it and turned towards him still in my strappy white heels. Lissa had gotten me a white lacy strapless bra/corset that had a low back that had just barely went beneath the dress without being visible. While it was a corset, it wasn't tight. I also had a matching white lacy thong. I'm not going to lie, I knew I looked hot. Already pregnancy had made my boobs bigger and this corset only accentuated them. Plus, the corset covered my scars. Dimitri stepped back and scanned me from head to toe then did it again.
"You like?" I asked flipping my hair flirtatiously.
"No." he stated. "I fucking love. You look like a sexy angel and I'm trying to figure out what I did to earn my way to heaven."
I laughed at his words as I blushed. "I don't know. befriended me, loved me, gave me family and a home. Planned a surprise spectacular wedding. All pretty heaven worthy things. I didn't really imagine being partially covered in dried paint when showing you my surprise though."
"You're stunning Roza," he said before walking towards me and kissing me again as he kissed me, he slid his foot over and gently kicked my dress out of the way as he gripped my hips and set me up on the counter. He kissed me harder as I wrapped my legs around him. After a couple of seconds, I realized I still heard the water running.
"The bath. It's going to over flow," I gasped pulling away. He cursed as he pulled away and went to the bath. It was almost to the top so he pulled the plug to let a little drain out. Then he turned and walked back to me. "I think it's time for me to unwrap my present now."
"What's your present?" he asked with a smirk.
"My handsome husband," I grinned as he stood in front of me and put his hands on the counter beside me. I unbuttoned the vest and slid it off before reaching for his shirt. As I unbuttoned each button I leaned in and kissed the skin that became exposed until I got halfway down and couldn't reach anymore. I finished unbuttoning the shirt and slid it off his shoulders slowly as I kissed his shoulders.
"Stop," he said breathless pulling my chin up to look at him. "You wanted a bath. Let's get you in the bath."
"Aye aye captain," I smirked proud I could get him so worked up. I hopped off the counter sliding right in front of him. Unfortunately for me, I forgot I still had heels on so I wobbled but Dimitri quickly gripped my hips and steadied me. "Whoops."
"You're adorable," he smirked.
"Ugh mood killed," I complained. Who wants to be called adorable when they're trying to be sexy and seductive?
"Not at all babe," he smiled. "Because I love all of you. The sexy seductress, the klutz, the sarcasm, the playful princess. And you know what? As of today, I get it all for the rest of my life and god if that isn't the most amazing turn on."
"Comrade, don't you know? You've always had me. All of me." instead of answering he leaned down and kissed me as his hands went to the back of the corset and untied it. He pulled away and twisted me around to face the mirror again as he pulled the string out of it so he could pull it off. Once I was undressed, he led me to the tub and helped me in. As I got situated, he finished undressing and went to climb in behind me but I stopped him.
"Sit in front of me," I directed opening my legs to make room for him.
"Just do it. Please?" I asked sweetly. He sighed but complied. "Thank you."
"Why am I sitting in front of you?"
"So, I could do this," I stated as I reached up and started massaging his neck and shoulders. "You planned this amazing wonderful wedding and you've been taking care of me all day, now it's my turn to do something nice for you. You've earned it."
"But, I was going to rub your back," he said sighing into my hands as his shoulders started slowly relaxing and I smiled. He dropped his head forward as I continued massaging.
"Well, I beat you to it and you can't tell me no," I teased.
"I can, I just choose not to," he chuckled.
"That's what all addicts say," I teased.
"You're the best addiction I've ever had," he stated. Mentioning addiction I could sense his mind going dark so I squeezed a section of his shoulder a little extra. He jumped a little. "That was rough."
"It was necessary. Stay here with me," I told him kissing his back as my hands slid down a little further.
"You know how I said you looked like an angel earlier? Well, when I was hallucinating and you came to me. That was the first time I thought you were my angel. It never really went away. Even when I thought there was no hope for us. I still thought of you as my angel. You know how you said you have no idea who you'd be without me? Well, I honestly have no idea who I would be without you. You've influenced every part of me, every decision I've made…well except the bad ones. You believed in my music in high school. Everyone thought it was a fun hobby that I would outgrow one day but you always encouraged me and inspired me to keep believing."
Instead of replying immediately I grabbed the cup we had sitting on the edge of the tub. I pulled my legs up for him to lay on my thighs instead of directly on my stomach. "Lean back." He hesitated but with my encouragement he did. I scooped some water in the cup and poured it on his hair a couple of times.
"I don't know if I would have ever gotten the courage to come home without your encouragement. It's kind of sad to think of the future I could have ended up without you returning. Instead, I have you, the twins baking in there, my family forgave me. I have a whole new future and its amazing," he continued as I grabbed the shampoo and lathered his hair up. As I rinsed his hair out, I spoke up.
"I didn't do anything that you didn't do for me. If I didn't have your friendship and the family you gave me, I would have probably grown up worse than my mom. Distant, cold. Even more of a bitch than I already am. That's not even to mention, when I found you again in LA. When I told you, I had been bad before I came out there…I was depressed and suicidal which you already knew but, I had also shut off my emotions. I became stone, the only time I allowed myself to feel was when singing and even then, it was only a little bit. That's what was so hard about being around you. I was feeling things I had shut off a long time ago. It hurt but it's what I needed. I don't think I really truly let myself feel until I sang at the showcase rehearsal. If I would have kept going like that…who knows where I'd be. Instead you came in and cracked the stone before knocking it down completely. In your forgiveness, I was able to finally forgive myself and heal. We save each other. That's what we're good at." I told him as I conditioned his hair and rinsed it. As I finished talking, I set the cup down and just ran my fingers through his hair. When I finished I leaned down and kissed his forehead.
"We're good for each other," he agreed. He sat up suddenly.
"Your turn," he said before somehow managing to twist us so I was suddenly in front of him.
"I wasn't done rubbing your back," I laughed.
"Yea you were. My turn," he said. I could hear the smile in his voice and knew the serious conversation was done for now.
"Your fingers really are magical," I moaned as he kneaded my shoulders. I watched as the water slowly turned into a purplish gray from the paint coming off of us. After a few minutes he followed my lead and had me lean back so he could wash my hair. He massaged the paint out ads I groaned in pleasure.
"Keep making sounds like that, I won't be able to finish your hair," he teased though I knew he wasn't completely joking. I went quiet but, I decided to mess with him. His thighs were right beside my hips so I brought my hands up and started massaging them slowly working my hands up then sliding them back down before I got close to anything, then repeating, each time getting just a little closer. As soon as he was done with my hair his hands immediately went to mine and gripped them so I'd stop.
"Someone's feeling frisky," he whispered his voice husky in my ear. The tone in his voice immediately made my body tense up. "I think bath time is over."
"Agreed," I gasped. I used his legs to stand up and climbed out of the bath grabbing a towel to quickly dry off. He went to grab the towel but I stopped him, "I don't want to sleep in wet sheets tonight."
"Who said anything about getting on the sheets?" he smirked with a raised eyebrow. My mouth immediately dried up. I dropped the towel and stepped toward him.
"What'd you have in mind husband?"
"Lots of dirty things, wife," he growled grabbing me. I smiled into his kiss.
I might be tired but I was more than excited to stay up all night with my new husband.
God I'm lucky.
