ShOliver's Journey
Oliver divinely met Shane in line at a coffee cart;
Their many differences evident, right from the start.
They spoke of their losses, intently listening empathetically;
Her placement believed to be a mistake, hypothetically.
Her curiosity and passion sparked his intrigue;
His marriage vows pushed him out of her league.
From the very first moment they shared their first dance;
Each whirl and each dip emanated pure romance.
She was often irritated with his old fashioned ways;
Though she knew his gentlemanly manner was something to praise.
He scoffed at her use of all things technology;
She read his letter to his wife, later offering an apology.
He opened his heart when he built her a porch swing;
He would later bestow upon her his grandmother's ring.
She helped him find peace, and reconcile with his father;
Standing right by his side would never be a bother.
He once again surprised her, giving her a yellow rose;
POstables all wondered if he'd someday propose.
Their first date had jazz music, and they finally kissed;
She left and he was heartbroken, feeling completely amiss.
He was hurt when they finally reunited, face to face;
She was overwhelmed by her feelings, until she was in his embrace.
She wore a beautiful wedding dress in front of a mirror;
She gasped in surprise when she saw him appear.
He professed that he loved her and then donned a green tie;
A tender kiss sealed their engagement, beneath the night sky.
Their love story is just beginning, that's perfectly clear;
Oliver and Shane deserve their wedding, we pray more SSD will appear.
