A/N: *Waves hello* This is a short (337 words) drabble I wrote a long time ago for my discord friends that I'd totally forgotten about...until about an hour ago. Once I remembered it I decided to look it up...then realized I wanted to save it for posterity and thought anyone out there who remembered my fic would enjoy it as well.

"Cast it again."

"I've already cast it four times."

"Cast. It. Again."

"As I was saying," Astoria replied calmly, "I've already cast it four times and the results are always the same." Her sister was enjoying this entirely too much.

"If you are messing with me, Tori…"

Astoria's expression softened. "I'm not messing with you. You're pregnant."

Daphne buried her head in her hands and forced herself to breathe.

In. Out. In. Out.

"You are so annoying!" Astoria moaned. "This is happening exactly according to your stupid schedule and you're still managing to worry!"

"They might be sick, Tori," Daphne managed, vocalizing the fear that had lingered in her mind since she was six years old.

"They won't," Astoria declared. "We are done with that nonsense. You, Hermione and Harry made sure of it."

"It's only been three months," Daphne countered, desperately wanting to believe her sister.

Astoria shook her head. "Yes, yes, I know…it's too soon to know for sure. You and Hermione have done your best to wring all the joy out of your miracle...just like you are doing right now. I feel great! loads better than I ever have."

"It could just be psychological. You've convinced yourself you feel better so-"

"No more bad days," Astoria interrupted. "No more for me…or you...or Harry…and certainly not for your little girl. No more bad days, Daphne."

Daphne looked up. "How do you know it's a girl?"

"Call it a hunch," Astoria shrugged as she sat down and reached for her hand, "also I checked the gender while you've been worrying."

Daphne chuckled. Astoria was an idiot, but she was right. She and Harry wanted this and there was no point in worrying about 'what ifs' at this point.

Checkers not chess.

"No more bad days," Daphne repeated aloud, pulling her sister into a hug. "This is really happening. Harry and I are having a baby. A baby girl."

"Finally!" Astoria exclaimed in triumph.

Daphne heard the floo flare to life in the other room. Harry was home.
