~*~*~*24 Hours Prior*~*~*~*~

After sneaking Dabi into the hospital, Aizawa and Tsukauchi gathered the few doctors and nurses with high enough clearance. Most of the staff declined to treat the villain, Dabi's burns, rather than her pregnancy and status as an A-Rank villain causing the most significant issue.

Only one doctor and a small handful of nurses felt they were up to the task—each a veteran in their decade's long careers.

With Dabi safely in the hands of the doctors, who immediately began checking her over both men breathed a sigh of relief standing to the side and watching as the medics worked. One doctor asked a nurse to draw blood to make sure that the villain was healthy as he checked to make sure the baby wasn't in danger. Aizawa felt sorry for the nurse as she tried to draw blood from the villain. The burns on Dabi's body made the task near impossible.

And speaking of the burns something about them seemed off to the underground hero.

Shaking it off as paranoia, Aizawa walked out of the room with Tsukauchi pulling to make a call.

The first was to Recovery Girl, Aizawa gave her the full rundown of what had happened when they had rescued Eri. Though the youthful heroine was relieved that Eri was safe, Aizawa had a feeling that he and the others were still in for a lecture when she arrived.

Then he set to work calling Giran.

Meanwhile Tsukauchi had the pleasure of calling the League. It barely took more than three rings for the detective before someone answered the sound of fighting coming in over the other end before Kurogiri's smooth voice answered.

"Hello."

"It's Tsukauchi," the detective spoke, listening as the bartender relayed who was calling to the others. He listened patiently to the sounds of things getting knocked over and shouts to hand over the phone.

"Detective," Mr. Compress's voice came, though he sounded out of breath. "You're on speaker. Tell us, do you have good news about our wayward member?"

"We have her," Tsukauchi answered, hearing loud cheers and a single boo on the other end. "She's safe at Musutafu Private Hospital."

Everyone instantly went silent for a few moments before Shigaraki's angry voice growled. "That wasn't the deal. She's supposed to be at U.A."

"Listen," Tsukauchi replied, placing his hand behind his head and smiling, trying to appear casual to a passing couple. "I shouldn't be telling you this, but in the interest of any you-know-what's getting released I'll be straight we you. Earlier today, we mounted a rescue for a kidnapped child, but it looks like your friend freed herself and the girl before we got there,"

"Dabi's awesome like that. She sucks." Twice's called out.

"So, you know who took Dabi," Himiko asked, her ordinarily cheery voice calm. "Who was it? I want a name."

"Easy Himiko," Mr. Compress urged, no doubt trying to soothe the stab happy high schooler. For some reason the magician's tone made Tsukauchi more nervous then the serial killers. "Story first, revenge later."

"It was … it was one of Overhaul's men," Tsukauchi answered. He was glad Ryukyu and Sansa had radioed him earlier about the yakuza's apparently brutal death, no doubt at Dabi's hands. "He's dead, but Dabi got hurt trying to leave."

"How did you not realize it was her?" Spinner asked the officer.

Kurogiri hummed. "He has a point detective."

"She was wearing the kidnapper's clothes, and we couldn't see her face," Tsukauchi explained, hoping the League would believe him. Trying to build any sort of trust with the villains was like trying to navigate a minefield without a map. "We brought her to the closet hospital. Doctors are checking her and the baby out now before we move her to U.A."

A few more moments of silence and some inaudible whispers were all Naomasa heard. Pulling the phone away from his ear, hoping the call hadn't been dropped, he almost missed the small pleading voice.

"Can we … can we see her?"

Tsukauchi mentally cursed, almost wishing he could pretend he hadn't heard the request. Honestly, he thought they would have had more time to develop a strategy on how to handle the aftermath of finding Dabi.

Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think that they would end up finding her so soon, and with Eri no less.

But perhaps there was an upside to this. With the truce still in effect, perhaps Tsukauchi could build some goodwill with the League of Villains that could come in handy down the road.

"Detective," Shigaraki's came from over the phone. "Can we see Dabi or not?"

"I'll see what I can do," Tsukauchi said, biting the bullet. "Kurogiri may be able to warp one or two of you in at a time. I'll let you know by tonight so pick who. I'll try to alternate nights so everyone can see her before we take her to U.A."

There were a few moments of silence before Mr. Compress spoke. "Thank you, Detective."

A click followed by a dial tone, and as Tsukauchi turned around, only to be met with Aizawa's dark gaze.

"Did you just do what I think you did?" the underground hero asked seriously.

"Did you get through to Giran?"

Aizawa growled. "Tsukauchi."

"I know, I know it's crazy but listen to me," the detective said, pulling the underground hero into an empty room, forgetting to shut the door. "Small controlled visits today mean we avoid a full invasion tomorrow."

"Alright, I'll grant you that," Aizawa answered, nodding his head. He could just see the whole League warping into Dabi's room scaring whatever poor unfortunate soul that would go to check in on her. "But Todoroki keeps asking me if he can call his siblings, and I'm running out of excuses. What do we do if they show up? Knowing our luck, they'll make camp in Dabi's room also."

Tsukauchi groaned and rubbed his face. The League and the Todoroki's meeting was by far the worse case scenario at this point. The League had forbidden Endeavor from finding out about Dabi. The villain's mother was a ghost as far as the public was concerned. And aside from Shouto the two middle children were civilians.

"I put a rush on her blood work to confirm her identity. Can we just not tell them ... at least for now?"

Aizawa gave the detective a look that said that clearly wouldn't work, not noticing the shadow that stretched out from the wall that belonged to the very student they were just talking about. Shouto knew that his teacher and the detective were good people and were trying to keep everyone safe.

Still, no matter what excuse they could give him, keeping this from Natsuo and Fuyumi when he was so sure that Dabi was Tatsuo felt … wrong.

Shouto only had a handful of memories with his eldest sister. Endeavour had isolated them from each other as much as he did, the rest of the family.

Pulling out his phone, Shouto brought up the chat thread Natsuo had made for the siblings giving them the hospital's name and floor, telling them to get here ASAP. The fire and ice user knew this was probably going to get him into a lot of trouble from both Aizawa, but he didn't care. All that mattered to Shouto right now was making sure that neither Fuyumi nor Natsuo cried over their eldest sisters' death any longer.

Walking back to Dabi's room, Shouto settled back down in his chair, taking the villains' hands. He opened up the chat he had with Izuku needing someone to talk to as the sound of machines played in the background.

Endeavour stalked through the Hero Commission's main building, his flames whipping around in annoyance at the summons he had received from the President. He was the number one hero now; he had better things to do than act as the commission's dog coming when they called.

Ignoring the secretary who tried to stop him, the flame hero slammed the doors open. He walked brazenly into the office, glaring down at the woman from the opposite side of the desk.

"You wanted to see me."

The older woman gave the hero an equally stony expression. "You're becoming more trouble than your worth, Endeavor."

A flaming hand slammed on the desk as Endeavor leaned down threateningly. "How dare you -"

"Your obvious … domestic issues aside," the President interrupted folding her hands. "I thought with All Might's retirement after Kamino Ward, we could work together to make this country great again. It seems I was wrong."

"What are you talking about?" Endeavour growled.

The woman sighed, snapping her fingers and one of her companions pulled a piece of paper out from a folder handing it to the hero. "Earlier today, a raid was launched to rescue a kidnapped child. Well, en route, it seems they also came across a member of the League of Villains, more specifically, Dabi."

Endeavour felt his scar burn a little hotter at the mere mention of that woman's name. Fist clenching, he crushed the paper with her photo turning it to ash. The male attendant gave the hero an annoyed look pulling out another copy of the folder sliding it across the President's desk, this time for Endeavor to look at.

"A blood test was issued to try and determine her identity. One of our people intercepted the results as it was making its way to the hero in charge," the man spoke. Pulling out a second paper and sliding it next to the first, this one containing a very familiar picture. "Congratulation's Endeavor, it's a girl."

Endeavour looked down at both pictures, each containing a photo of his eldest. The hero felt his blood boil as he instantly saw the resemblance.

Tatsuo was always the most rebellious of his children, inheriting both his flames and temper. After their last encounter, Enji was sure that the biggest obstacle to his masterpiece and legacy was gone for good.

Seems he was wrong.

"I warned you years ago when you offered that child to us for our XGEN project that she was dangerous," the President hissed, her hand slamming down on the desk standing up. "Now, not only are your skeletons threatening you but us as well."

Endeavour looked down at the picture of Dabi feeling nothing towards the villain. "I'll fix this. She won't survive again."

"I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation," the other male growled. "U.A. has gotten involved, as well as the Anti-LOV task force. We can't touch her without raising suspicion."

Endeavour looked at the President and her men picking up both pieces of paper.

"I'll think of something."

~*~*~*~Notes~*~*~*~

Hi, sorry it has been so long since I updated. I could say I've been busy, but the truth is that my inspiration is being slow coming.

To everyone who was hoping to see what happens between Todoroki's clash and the LOV, I'm sorry to disappoint. Still, I needed to build on a few things before we got there. I hope everyone still enjoyed the chapter. I kinda planted some ideas in this chapter that I have plans for with later chapters.

Until next time everyone! Don't forget to drop a comment below and tell me what you thought.
