Mirko couldn't say that she hadn't expected this, especially after what had occurred the previous night. While she could actively say that she had a ball as she and Shirou fought it out, it was seen as a blemish from the Hero Society for one of the top five heroes having been unable to bring Shirou to justice. From all of it though, part of the night which had been widely applauded was the fact that she prevented Shirou from beginning the conflict between the two of them on the crowded train where innocents could have been injured. Having spoken with Shirou for as long as she had, Mirko had a strong feeling that such a thing was never even a consideration for him.
As much as society treated him as such, she did not believe that Shirou was a villain. Sadly, since he wasn't a hero it did mean that he lived inside a world of gray regarding his lifestyle choices.
Mirko crossed her arms as she sat in the interrogation room that she had been summoned to down the local police station. Normally she wouldn't have bothered if it was a minor incident, goodness knows how many times she had blatantly ignored the summons previously. Given that Shirou was such a high priority target who had, 'slipped through her fingers,' she felt that if she didn't come to give her view then she would likely be given a little more than a slap on the wrist.
Still, it wasn't as if the police could actively hold her for too long. She had already given them all the answers that they had requested, speaking as bluntly as she could while telling the truth. Of course she ignored the fact that she had actively allowed him to go free, more so she merely stated that he had gotten away after having knocked her down. While it was stretching the truth to unknown levels it was still the truth at the end of the day.
Her ears pricked up as the door opened and a familiar face brought a smile to her lips. "Can't say that I was expecting to see you today Aizawa," she said as she watched the teacher close the door behind him.
"Usagiyama," said Aizawa as he took a seat opposite Mirko.
"I take it then that this part is completely off record," said Mirko.
"Partially," said Eraserhead. "I've read the report from the police and I've seen enough of the footage from last night to know all that I need. You were holding back."
"So was he," stated Mirko. "He knew that if the two of us truly let loose then that station wouldn't be standing right now."
"That doesn't give you the right to not apprehend the criminal," declared Aizawa. "As a Professional Hero, you are allowed to use any and all measures necessary."
"You want me to go all out of a kid, a student of yours?"
"He's no longer my student."
"Is that why he's a criminal?"
Aizawa didn't take the bait that Mirko laid for him, unsurprisingly. Mirko continued, "I seem to recall a time where you were quite well connected with a handful of vigilantes, people who were using their quirks in a way which upset the balance between Heroes and Villains. You didn't seem to have any issue when the people who were breaking the law were doing it for your benefit."
"This is different."
"Really?" said Mirko as she raised an eyebrow. "We have a teenager who isn't using his quirk for nefarious reasons and last I checked the reports, was actively apprehending criminals for his own amusement."
"He kidnapped a member of the League of Villains during a prisoner transfer."
"Please, you and I both know that he wouldn't have done that if Vlad King didn't push the idea on him. Before you go asking how I knew that, blame Midnight."
Aizawa slightly ground his teeth, knowing full well just how much his fellow teacher regretted everything that had happened regarding their friend. For her to have shared it with someone close to her wasn't an unexpected turn of events. "That doesn't change the fact that Shirou currently has one of the most wanted Villains in his grasp."
"He's your former student, don't go looking at me to try to understand why he does what he does," scoffed Mirko. "Given what he is capable of, I fully believe that he is more than able to keep one criminal in check until he enacts the next part of his plan."
"What plan?" asked Aizawa, his gaze sharpening.
"Hell if I know," shrugged Mirko. "No doubt he has something in mind and what that is we are probably going to find out sooner than later."
"I see," said Aizawa as he stood up from the desk. "In which case we're done."
"So I'm free to go then," smiled Mirko.
"Begrudgingly," said Aizawa as he pulled a bottle of eye drops out of his pocket and started applying them. "You take care of yourself and if you encounter Shirou again, I expect you to not hold anything back."
Mirko made no inclination that she was going to make any such promise.

Eri watched as Rin sent wave after wave of verbal assaults at Shirou, who, for all intents and purposes, actively just sat there and took it. While she couldn't understand everything that Rin had shouted through her tirade, the general consensus was that Rin fully believed that Shirou was an idiot. She actively didn't know that it was possible to call somebody an idiot in that many ways.
According to Rin, what Shirou had done had been beyond risky and that he should repent for what he had done. Eri wasn't sure how Shirou was meant to repent but she was sure that once she knew what the word 'repent' meant that she would understand it better. For now though she could only assume that because Shirou had been an idiot he then had to do something to prove that he wasn't an idiot.
That seemed right.
"Hey Eri, do you want to come with me?" asked La Brava as she place a comforting hand on Eri's shoulder.
"Where are we going?" asked Eri.
She watched as La Brava turned her attention directly to the conversation happening in front of them. Was it even a conversation if only one person was talking?
"Somewhere to let these two talk out their differences," said La Brava. "What say we go into the basement and you show me how Stain has been teaching you how to use a knife?"
Eri couldn't help but beam up in excitement with the fact that La Brava had shown an interest in her skill with a weapon. She didn't know that La Brava was actively trying to draw her away from the near domestic happening between Rin and Shirou. All she wanted to do was show off what she was capable of.
And she would show off her awesome new moves that Stain had shown her.

Midoriya stood outside of his childhood friend's room, his fist outstretched and ready to knock. It was a position he had been standing in for the better part of ten minutes. It was still relatively early in the morning as Midoriya had wanted to do this before too many of his classmates were up and active. He wasn't even sure if Bakugo was awake.
As much as Midoriya wanted to go in and talk to him, he had no idea what he would say. Was he meant to ask what it was like to roam the streets hunting criminals while trying to avoid the law at the same time? Not exactly the most casual of conversation topics.
A sigh escaped Midoriya's lips as he lowered his hand and stepped away from the door. He was sure Bakugo would step out in his own time. It would just take some time. Surely.
Walking down the stairs towards the kitchen, Midoriya's eyes glanced to the side where Jiro was sitting on the couch. Of the three who had left UA to go on their own rebellious quest, Jiro had been the only one to have made her way out of her room while Bakugo and Yaoyorozu remained sealed up. Around her neck was a steel collar, unflattering as it was. The other students had been informed that it held the same technology that prisons used to prevent the usage of quirks. Bakugo and Yaoyorozu had both been adorned with the same non-fashion accessory and none of the other students wanted to say it but they were relatively certain that they doubled as a tracking device.
There was also rumors that the principal had taken far more glee than he should have latching the teenagers with the collars.
While he had had no idea what to say in front of Bakugo's door, the same could be said for Jiro who was actively sitting in the same space as him. At least it wasn't just him who was finding the situation awkward with Ochaco in the kitchen currently stirring a cup of tea as she stared off into the distance. It seemed she was doing her best to not make eye contact as much as humanly possible.
"Morning," said Midoriya.
"Oh," said Ochaco in shock, nearly spilling her drink in the process but righting it before a drop fell out. "Good morning Midoriya. Sorry, I wasn't really paying attention."
"It's all good," said Midoriya as he stood behind the counter close to where Ochaco stood. He spoke softly, "How long has Jiro been sitting there?"
"She's been sitting there ever since I got up," she stated in the same level of whisper. "I don't know what to say but if I leave now it's just going to make things super awkward."
"It would also be super awkward if I could hear you," said Jiro, turning her head to look at them. "Just because I can't use my quirk doesn't mean I've lost my sense of hearing."
"Oh, right, sorry," said Midoriya sheepishly as he and Ochaco blushed lightly.
"So, are you two dating yet or what?" asked Jiro.
If the two of them had been only slightly blushing before, it was a lot different now as Midoriya thrust his face into his hands while Ochacho found herself closer to the roof than the floor.
...
The living quarters were a hive of activity, as one would expect when lunch time approached. Shirou was currently working away in the kitchen without so much as a care in the world, the verbal assault which had been thrown his way earlier in the day seemingly all but gone. Around the dining table, Stain was doing his best to sound impressed regarding what Eri was telling him regarding how big of a spider she had seen in the basement. While Eri was pestering him, La Brava sat on her laptop, madly typing away as Gentle sipped at a tea that he had previously brewed. Given his disgruntled look, it seemed as if his drink wasn't quite made to the standard which he would have liked.
All in all, Toga felt somewhat out of place. Both in the fact that she had been let out of her room in the first place and second in that she was actively allowed to sit at the table. Still though, she knew her place and even though she was in peak physical condition, the moment she so much as thought of doing anything that would be seen as a possible attack she would be pounced upon in a moment.
The only person not in the room, and arguably the most terrifying one, could be heard elsewhere as she violently shouted down the phone. While Toga could only grasp half of what was being discussed, and she used the term 'discussed' lightly, it seemed that she wasn't the person on the top of Rin's anger list. Given how Toga had felt when she had seen Rin in a calm, composed manner, she could only imagine the pressure she could exert when she was actively angry.
Frankly, behaving just in order to avoid that level of assertion was in her best interest.
"Take it not the news you wanted to hear," summarized Stain as Rin walked into the room, clearly upset.
"I'm just wondering whether or not it was worth keeping those fanatics alive if they seem so keen to get themselves killed," scoffed Rin as she took a seat at the table in a huff, crossing her arms as she did so.
"Fanatics?" repeated Gentle.
"The Meta Liberation Front," assumed Stain. "What have they done now?"
"It's not what they have done but what could happen very soon," groaned Rin.
"If possible, could we be given some context as to who the Meta Liberation Front is?" asked Gentle as he placed his tea down on the table.
"Like I said, they're fanatics," said Rin with a dismissive wave.
"I see," said Gentle, miffed by the fact that he likely wouldn't be getting anymore details regarding this group. Glancing to the side, his eyes met those of La Brava who responded with a slight nod to let him know that she would do her own research in due time. "So why, or I guess, more appropriately, how are these fanatics about to kill themselves."
"The witch and I tore their city a new one a while back," stated Stain. "They attempted to provoke us to justify their reason of fighting. If they were to kill us while we are decimating their ranks, it proves their beliefs. As you can imagine, they didn't get the job done. We took substantial payment in order to leave them alone."
"Leave them alone and allowing them to live," clarified Rin. "I've been using them lately to keep eyes on the League of Villains."
"Wait, are you telling me that you know where the League of Villains are?" asked La Brava, slamming her laptop shut in the process.
"I wanted to know whether they were on the march here or not, so I've had my contacts keeping an eye on them," stated Rin. Stain couldn't help but chuckle with Rin having referred to tens of thousands of people that she had spared as her contacts. "There is a small village close to where they are located where all of the citizens are members of the Meta Liberation Front. Their relationship seems to be, if you don't kill us and pay for what you want, we won't tell the heroes about where you are."
"Surely you jest," scoffed Gentle. The look that Rin shot his way informed him that she was not joking in the slightest. "What of the local heroes in the area? Surely they would have spotted the criminals at some point?"
"Of course they have, the Heroes are just as corrupted and easily bought," sneered Stain.
"They're part of the Front but you're not wrong," said Rin with a shrug of her shoulders. "The Front however is getting restless since they aren't currently pushing their agenda. They're thinking of storming the League."
"Where even if they achieve their goals, thousands would probably die in the process, if not more," analyzed Stain.
In the kitchen, the thud of a knife against a chopping block slammed down harder than any cut made previously but none dared turn their attention to look at the resident chef.
"So what do we do?" asked La Brava.
"Well, we can give the Front our piece of the League," said Rin as she turned her attention towards Toga who shrunk in on herself. "They'd probably pay a large amount in order to lure the League to their home where they would have the advantage."
"Where thousands or more would still die," said Gentle, cutting in before Stain said it.
"So, we can leak the information to one of the Hero agencies, maybe that Endeavour fellow, and let them deal with it," said Rin. "If we do that, all it means is that the cycle continues. Heroes take down the villains, the media has a field day and we wait until the next group start to terrorize the country where everything will start again."
"So what happens if we take them out?" asked Gentle.
"Then we justify the Meta Liberation Front's reason to fight, where everyone can utilize all of their abilities without restrictions," stated Stain. "While it would prevent them from acting temporarily, they would be able to use our actions to further their own regime. Our actions could potentially cause people to come to their teachings in droves."
"To the point where they would then act with greater force than they currently have," added Gentle.
"So, there's no right answer," said La Brava, disheveled as she lowered her head.
"Those are merely the two most obvious options, not all of them," said Rin. "Which begs the question, what are you thinking of doing Shirou?"
Attention now shifted to the individual in the kitchen who had his hands flat on the kitchen bench, the food he had been preparing an afterthought. Toga could see the calculating look on Shirou's face, what looked like a dozen thoughts went through his head every second. She was certain that whatever he said would be what the group decided on, undoubtedly with a couple of arguments that would be shut down along the way.
Toga couldn't help but shake the feeling that whatever he decided on would be the reason as to why she was here in the first place.
She still had a part to play, whether she liked it or not.

Hope you enjoyed.
