Mariah's Pov
You know what?
I LOST MY SHOE!
That might be bad for you and pretty silly, but it was GREAT for me, actually today felt like the BEST day ever!
See this is what happened...
Flash Back, Normal POV
It was a glamorous beautiful day, actually, to be exact, it was half cloud half sunny, but rays still shone through the dark clouds, but then...um, enough about the weather.
Anyways, a teen about 13 was striding home; she had a piece of her pink hair twirling around her finger and a very, *VERY* heavy backpack slung around her shoulder.
It didn't feel like a good day for her, she somehow mysteriously lost her left shoe and now she had to practically limp home.
Wanting to die, she quickly sprinted onto a nearby bench and hopped onto it. She sighed and rubbed her sore feet.
'What's the point of having one shoe when you already have lost the other one', she thought to herself as she took her other shoe off and stuffed it into her very heavy knapsack.
"HEY!" Someone yelled.
Reacting, Mariah, the girl, looked around to see if anyone was calling her.
Craning her neck, she spotted her friend Rei.
"Hiya Rei!" She yelled back.
The boy ran toward her, gasping for breathes when reaching her.
"What's. The. Ma...atter?" He gasped out still panting. "I noticed you limped home, where are your shoes?"
"Um.." Mariah turned beet red. "Well, I sorta lost my left shoe and I... ...um..."
He tried not to laugh, he really did, but it seemed so silly he wanted to burst out laughing, knowing Mariah; he would upset her if he did, so it came out as a muffled snort.
Mariah became upset, she knew he would laugh, she did, she just had to tell him, she should've just made up some excuse.
She grabbed her stuff and turned to leave.
She was NOT staying anywhere *near* someone who would laugh at her. She knew they fought a lot, but still, it isn't nice to laugh at someone, s'pecially if they're your friends.
