So…it's been a while, I believe I left this off for long enough,…I've been writing in Spacebattle under the name AsierZamon for a bit, my writing has hopefully improved greatly, I was wondering a bit how to keep the naruto plot intact,…before I decided to scrap the idea.
I came to the realization that I could just go multiverse after this, so LETS GOOOOO!
Now here is my question…should I tear off the mods limitation? And have them activated when Erza begins using them? Or should the limit remain.
Chapter 11 ~ Change
A lot has happened throughout the course of the year, after the establishment of konoha, the surrounding nations have suddenly felt a lot more threatened with the unification of two clans of great power.
It did not help that the lesser, but certainly powerful clans like the Aburame and Yamanaka were also gradually being added into it, along with them aligning themselves under the Fire Daimyo, granting monetary support in the form of missions.
It didn't help matters when for around a decade, the new monsters that began to emerge all over the land in darkness, it made all sorts of situations harder to deal with.
The world was changing rapidly, changes that many older shinobi of all kinds of clans were wary of, all this becoming unfamiliar to them.
Naturally, not wanting the threat of this "Konoha" to come knocking on their doorsteps with no way to fight back, other nations copied the idea that Madara and Hashirama had brought to life, and created their own villages with the same naming style.
And thus, villages such as the Hidden Cloud, the Hidden Stone, the Hidden Sand, etc., were born and assembled under the services of their respective rulers of the land.
And just that, the era of endless war has come to an end, it brought an obvious benefit of an immediate increase of manpower and a momentary state of peace…of course, momentary being the key word.
Suddenly, the threat of war was a lot more terrifying and deadly, now that the smaller clans have gathered into much larger groups.
Of course, as more people gather the clearer the information becomes, which just means the much clearer understanding of the situation regarding the confirmed member of Hidden Leaf, comes to life.
The Scarlet Witch, for the longest time, those who did not have a personal experience with her, have dismissed the talk of her tales as attention seekers or a shinobi with a certain gimmick.
But after the formation of the Villages, it is indeed difficult to continue to call it a rumor with the sheer amount of civilians and a few shinobi that encountered her around the north of Fire Country.
Although she was never seen fighting hand to hand or with any ordinary Jutsu, she had access to all sorts of strange means of combat.
Indespellable Genjutsu, some strange form of Earth Jutsu with precise cubic meter measurements, strangely colored liquids that have various effects, anything from resistance to flames to healing grievous wounds.
It was especially disorienting when the scouts approaching the location of the village noticed 5 floating land masses hovering above Konoha, 4 in each corner of the cardinal directions.
Though a little ways away from Konoha, serving as some sort of outpost, though due to the angle, they could not discern what was on top of any of the land masses.
With another one, larger than all the rest hovering just below the Northern Sky Island, and above the mountain that Konoha was constructing on, from what the surrounding spies could discern without attracting attention, was that it was a formation of some sort of face, for what purpose? They could not tell.
POV: Erza
You know, it is quite strange to live in Konoha, it's unlike the time I had lived in the modern era, with how uncomfortable the clans are with each other, which was fair considering how long they have been fighting with each other.
Though some exceptions, such as the alliance between the Nara, Akamichi, and Yamanaka, and the surprising alliances between the Aburame and Inuzuka, she wasn't if that was even a thing in the original anime.
Hyuuga were a new addition, an isolationists clan, they never typically interacted with other clans that weren't in combat, though seeing the consequences of staying that way, they decided to also merge.
Though I was not happy that the birdcage seal was already a thing, that especially made me noticeably very cold and indifferent with the clan head, even Hashirama looked a bit uncomfortable at the inner workings of the clan though considering how unstable the village idea was at the moment,…he kinda had to let it go.
The idea was, as I said, incredibly new, in a world where for the past thousand years people have been fighting,…gathering up like this is outlandish and utterly alien.
It would literally fall apart if all of the sudden the Hokage was able to butt in on any clan he had a problem with.
None of the clans but the clan the Hokage was from would support such a thing, shinobi are paranoid, they do not like to be in situations where their lives were in the hands of an unknown, which is what Konoha is at this point.
People are trying, they really are, they want the endless fighting to stop, even if it is for a short time, even if it were to last only a year, it would've been worth it, especially so if it were to last like in the show for several decades.
At the time she has spent here, she finally managed to turn her mountain into a Flying Fortress With Archimedes' Ships mod, the reward she has received for joining the village.
[Congratulations!
For joining a hidden village, especially the strongest one in its time at the moment, you have become one of its members!
For this achievement, Spin the Wheel for a Surprise!]
Afterwards she spent the time moving her home close by, a little bit behind the future Hokage monument, basically above the forest on the mountain.
Though after she had settled, she basically had a bunch of work on her hands of people desperately needing potions of all kind, in order to keep up the load, she had to limit the potions she would make a week.
She had now essentially become a guaranteed source of D-C rank missions to the now called, genins, who have enough experience in the lower rank D ranks, why though? She literally sends them to hell to gather materials.
Of course, having to pay then she had to triple the cost to buy her potions, so instead of it becoming something shinobi would try to get a dozen out of, they tried to be considerate and only take a bottle and two for emergency use so other teammates may have a chance to get some of their own.
Though…she was currently floating towards the the central tower of Konoha, with her cloak that is, she had a question that she honestly wanted answers to, a question that she had since the beginning of naruto that she couldn't understand, though her only answer she would get would've been "to honor them".
She was gonna find out from the source.
"Can I ask why we are making faces out of our mountain?" Asked a red haired woman who was sitting on a chair in the Hokage tower, alongside the Hokage and several other men.
"Hn, I suppose that is indeed the question, it seems strange to just chisel out the side of a large hill just to place the face of the leader onto it," replied the armored man with incredibly long black hair-man, who was leaning on a wall.
The silver haired man who was armored ad well, stood next to the Hokage with stoic expression and crossed arms, though one of his hands was cupping his chin, "unfortunately, I would have to agree, it is similar with the islands we have established, although I can see the benefits…it's incredibly conspicuous, I don't understand why you would have our witch here raise four of them, the enemy would see them for miles before actually reaching the village," the hard ass Senju gave his point.
…Well fuck you too, Tobi, the witch's eyes narrow.
Finally, the Hokage lifted both of his hands up and answered, "everyone, everyone! I understand that you have your questions, but there is really only one simple answer to all of this," the man gave a wide smile.
The other three occupants of the rooms gave the brunette their full attention, waiting for his response, one raised an eyebrow, another raised a hand towards the man to motion to continue, and the last did nothing but look.
The Hokage spread his hands wide, his eyes had shining stars in his eyes as weird as that sounds, "BECAUSE IT LOOKS COOL!" Before he let out a loud belly laugh.
The other three gained tick marks on their heads, gritted their teeth, with their eyes filled with annoyance, "YOU IDIOT!,".
The insult could be heard a mile around the tower.
