Chapter 78 – Research and Goodwill

Potter Manor was hosting two overnight guests for the first time in the forms of Sirius and Marlie. The newlyweds had nearly rushed back to Britain, cutting the last day from their planned honeymoon in the French Riviera, when the news had broken about the Goblin Rebellion in London. By the time they'd managed to get home, the Rebellion had not only been stopped, but the Goblins of Gringotts had been exterminated completely.

That hadn't done much to stop their concern over Harry though. And both hadn't wanted to let the young man out of their sight since they'd been back.

"Still here, Harry?" Sirius joked as he stuck his head into Harry's smithy.

"Still here, Sirius." Harry said with a small chuckle. Just seeing the warmth and relief in Sirius's eyes was more than enough reason for Harry to allow this 'coddling' from his godfather and Marlie. 'News of a Goblin Rebellion certainly isn't how I'd want to abruptly end my honeymoon.' Harry thought to himself as he looked over the plans for an idea he'd had a little while back.

Sirius had entered the smithy and stood beside Harry, looking over the plans on the work table. "Honeycombs?" He questioned, seeing the hexagons on the paper that Harry was occasionally making notes on.

Harry looked at Sirius with a grin. "Sort of. I'm just borrowing the shape, really." He made a quick note on the large paper next to one of the diagrams. "They're strong, save space, and have a plethora of useful applications. I've been thinking about experimenting with the shape for some ideas for a while now."

Sirius read over a few of the small notes that Harry had written all over the paper to try and make heads or tails of anything before a few similar notes caught his eye. "Heat and power?" He looked at Harry curiously.

"Yeah, that came from my curiosity about why Magic doesn't get along with any technology beyond a certain level. Mechanical operation works fine even in highly magical areas. Electrically-powered items mostly work without issue, up to a point, usually with simpler items. But it seems that as soon as you move past a certain complexity with technology, it no longer functions well around Magic. The most affected is anything digital, like computers, but no one seems to understand why."

"That look on your face tells me you have a theory." Sirius looked at Harry expectantly, a smirk on the old prankster's face.

Harry shrugged once before he spoke. "My current theory is that digital technology operates on binary code." Seeing Sirius look at him blankly, Harry explained. "It's coded in ones and zeroes, 'yes' and 'no', absolutes-only at the most basic. But as we know, Magic can make 'maybes' even out of what are usually absolutes in nature, barring a few things. So, if binary is just ones and zeros, then when it gets close to highly magical areas, like Hogwarts, the binary may actually start having 'twos' added in and it fails instantly because it can't process them."

Sirius rubbed his chin in thought as he processed what Harry had said. "I think I understand…" He looked back at the designs on the paper. "But what does that have to do with honeycombs?"

"Nothing really." Harry said and chuckled when Sirius looked at him confused. "Honeycombs, aside from being strong and saving space, also have the most usable surface area of any compound shape." He tapped the tip of his pen on the diagram of a honeycomb and pointed out all of the flat edges both inside and outside. "That's a lot of space to etch runes for Enchanting for any number of effects. Heat is just a very simple one."

"Why not just use a Warming Charm?" Sirius asked the simple (by Magical standards) question.

Harry nodded in understanding. "You could, but the higher the heat of a Warming Charm, the faster it expires, and it can't go above a certain temperature. It was made to keep people warm and to warm up things like food that had gotten cold. Not to mention that the Non-Magical can't cast Warming Charms."

Sirius looked at Harry for a moment, but seeing his godson lost in thought again, he snorted out a laugh before speaking. "And that has to do with power in some way?"

"Hm? Oh, yes." Harry said after snapping out of his musings. "We learned about it in my primary school, at least the very basics, of how electricity is made. The entire process is to burn a fuel, usually coal or gas, to boil water and make steam. That steam is funneled into pipes to increase pressure and then that pressurized steam turns a turbine. When a turbine is spun it makes electricity and sends it out through high-power cables into an electric grid that connects to homes and businesses."

"Huh. So that's how electricity is made? We aren't really taught about it much in Hogwarts." Sirius hummed thoughtfully. Seeing Harry looking at him, Sirius grinned. "What? Muggle Studies pissed my parents off, so of course I took it." Harry could imagine just how much Sirius taking Muggle Studies would piss off his bigoted parents back in the day. Both of them shared a laugh for a bit before calming down. "So you want to make these honeycombs heat up and boil water to make electricity?"

Harry nodded after a moment to make another note on the large paper. "That's one idea." He let out a small sigh. "Tensions are high and things aren't great between the Magical and Non-Magical in Britain right now. First Voldemort with his demon, then this Goblin Rebellion…the Non-Magical feel like they're being assaulted by the Magical over and over again." Harry exhaled a long breath before looking at his various designs and ideas all drawn out before him. "I'm hoping that maybe…just maybe…extending some goodwill can help out."

Sirius placed his hand on Harry's shoulder. "You don't have to do that alone, Harry." He assured his godson, looking into Harry's eyes. "The Ministry has had dozens and dozens of Witches and Wizards in London repairing damages for multiple days already and London is almost back to how it was before the attack. Healers saved hundreds, maybe thousands, of lives during and after the Goblins' attack. Plenty of good is already being done and while tensions are still high, it's not at a tipping point just yet."

"I don't think the Non-Magical would say 'no' to a clean form of power generation though." Harry smiled at Sirius, thankful to have his godfather around to help him see that things weren't all riding on his shoulders.

"Can I ask a dumb question?" Sirius grinned at Harry.

Harry smirked at Sirius. "You often do."

Sirius ruffled Harry's hair, messing it up good for his cheek.

"Oi!" Harry swatted Sirius's hands away and shook his head.

"Why not just use an Animation Charm on the turbine thing? You just need it to spin, right?" Sirius pointed out an easier solution to generating electricity.

Harry nodded, having thought of that himself. "But then having a Witch or Wizard at every power plant would be required to cast the Animation Charms, or to nullify them in case of parts breaking, or some other maintenance needing to be done." He hummed and ran his fingers through his messed up hair to fix it. "The same Wizard or Witch could use Reparo to fix most things, but according to Magical Scholars, objects fixed by Reparo slowly lose their durability each time, making them break more often and with less stress the more they're repaired."

Sirius nodded in understanding. "So, this way, not only can the Non-Magical freely use the Enchanted Items to make electricity, a Wizard or Witch would only have to stop by the place to drop off new ones and take back used ones, that's smart. It lets the Magical and Non-Magical work together to supply the electricity that runs the modern world."

"I still have plenty to work out, and I'd need to make a prototype as proof of concept, but I'm hopeful that such a boon from the Magical side will help all of us get along better." Harry said as he looked over the various diagrams he'd already drawn up. "Scaling them in size could even let them be used for different power applications. Like a backup power supply in case of disasters, or perhaps as a way to power a vehicle?" Harry's childhood growing up in the Non-Magical world had given him quite a bit of knowledge (or at least surface level knowledge) of how things worked and how Magic could be applied to them.

"So, did you start working on this because you couldn't figure out what kind of stone the Gargoyle is made from?" Sirius teased with a smirk at Harry.

Harry gave Sirius a side-eye of annoyance. "Piss off." He wasn't moping! The damn material just didn't want to give up its secrets!

After Baraz Irkul had been reclaimed by the Erdunn Dwarves, Harry and family had been gifted one of the two Gargoyles for their great assistance. The women hadn't been overly thrilled, though Penny was interested in what she might be able to learn from the pedestal. Harry, however, was over the moon to have the defeated Gargoyle in hopes of figuring out what the black stone it was made of actually was.

So far, he hadn't discovered anything he didn't already know. It was durable to the extreme, Magic didn't seem to interact with it normally…to the point that it was basically immune, and didn't seem to be mixed with any other material. No matter what experiments Harry tried on it, he hadn't learned a single thing other than those three facts. The strange black stone seemed intent on being a mystery.

Sirius laughed at Harry's annoyance with the stone. "I'm sure you'll figure it out in time, Harry. Surely a simple rock won't be able to stump the first Master Artificer in centuries, right?"

His answer was a wandless Stinging Hex thrown at him by Harry.

"Hah!" Sirius batted it away with his wand. "You'll have to do better than that, Harry!"

Harry held his hand out and Aethereum flew into his palm. "I can do that."

"No fair!" Sirius ran from the smithy, tossing all sorts of schoolyard Jinxes over his shoulder at Harry. "Artifacts are cheating!"

"Nah." Harry denied, easily blocking all of the Jinxes with Aethereum's blade.

Sirius ran towards the stone patio where Marlie was lounging with a magazine. "Marlie! Tell Harry that Artifacts are cheating!" He quickly kneeled next to his wife, partially hiding behind her and her lounge chair.

Marlie playfully rolled her eyes at her husband. "Children, if you can't play nice together then you're going to be in timeout." She looked at Harry with a smile, happy to see her nephew (or perhaps step-son would be more accurate?) with a smile on his face as he held Aethereum off to the side.

"Sirius is just a sore loser." Harry said with a grin.

"You're cheating!" Sirius shot back 'maturely'.

Both men were suddenly hit with balls of water, not unlike water balloons, and completely soaked. With uncanny control, not a drop of water had landed on Marlie or her magazine.

"Both of you are children." Fleur grinned at Harry and Sirius, her index finger pointing in their direction.

"Of course you know…this means war." Harry and Sirius said at the same time before turning to face each other and shaking hands, sealing an alliance against Fleur.

Another round of water balls, this time from above, soaked the two men.

"Two on one isn't fair." Penny called out from the second floor window overlooking the patio. The large smug grin on her lips was proof that this was all planned by the two young women.

Marlie playfully waved the four of them away. "If you're going to play, keep me out of it, children." She played the disinterested adult quite well.

Only when Sirius and Harry moved away did they get hit with another round of water balls from behind.

"Et tu, Marlie?" Sirius turned to face his wife with one hand over his chest dramatically.

Marlie, now on her feet and with her wand pointed at Harry and Sirius, only smiled at him. "Quite, my dear husband."

"Water fight!" Tonks, having arrived home and not found anyone around, called out as she practically burst through the back doors and blasted Sirius and Harry off the patio with a jet of water. "Girls versus boys!"

"Cheaters!" Harry cried out as he shook the water out of his hair. "Take this!" He swung Aethereum and a wave of water flew through the air.

Splash

Only to be stopped by a large Protego from Penny who had drifted down from the second floor window while Harry and Sirius were being soaked by Tonks.

"You'll have to do better than that!" Fleur laughed, sending a barrage of water balls at Harry and Sirius with the help of Marlie.

The backyard of Potter Manor was quickly filled with laughter and family warmth as everyone was able to let go of stress from the past few days…by trying to playfully drown each other with water conjuration.

-Days Later-

"What are you?" Harry asked the black stone of the large Gargoyle that was under the roof of a 'garage' he'd erected at one side of his smithy to keep it out of the elements. He'd tried again, unsuccessfully, to commune with the material in hopes of figuring out anything new. So far, he'd only ended up wasting a majority of his morning.

Harry would love to break off a fragment of the stone to study it physically, but the unknown mineral wouldn't break, melt, or come apart in any way that he could think to try. It left him at a loss as to how he could figure out what the material was or how the Gargoyle had been made from it. With an annoyed sigh, Harry stood up from where he was sitting beside the Gargoyle and made his way into the smithy. He still had a good while before lunch and he could get some more work done on his honeycomb prototype.

"Let's see how well I can make steel hold up to magical forging." Harry quickly started getting his forge up to temperature while gathering the ingots he'd need to create the next attempt at his prototype. "Oulm didn't last under the heat, but steel is strong, even if not magical." Harry mused as he placed the ingots into the fire to heat. Perhaps he'd been too focused on using Magic in this project and should blend both Magic and mundane together. "It is what I'm trying to do over all." Harry said with a small chuckle as he watched the ingots slowly start to change to a dim red color.

Harry readied his tongs and hammer once the steel ingots were a yellow orange color. He pulled the first ingot out and easily (thanks to his enchanted tools) hammered it into a flat square. The second followed, but was joined with the still incredibly hot and malleable first square at the edge. Using the tongs to turn the joined square on their sides, Harry then picked up the next ingot and repeated the process of hammering into a perfect square, uniform with the previous ones, and then joining them together at the edges until a hexagon was made.

"Whew…" Harry exhaled, sweating from the heat and the exertion of his work. He hammered out the seventh square and then hammered it into one of the six corners of the still hot hexagon. Getting the other five done gave him two hexagons joined together by one side. "Alright, back in the fire you go." He placed the double hexagon into the flames to keep it hot enough to work with while taking a water break to stay hydrated.

The sound of hammering was heard by anyone that would get near the smithy for quite a while.

Just as lunchtime rolled around, Harry was etching the seven hexagon steel honeycomb that he'd forged together. The metal was all one solid piece now and Harry repeatedly etched in a runic sequence into every side of the hexagon for heat production. Alongside the heat production sequence was a sequence entirely made to increase the steel's own melting point, making it stronger than the heat it would produce. Magic allowed for even a mundane material to be worked into an application that it normally couldn't be used for, and Harry was taking full advantage of that.

"Harry, it's lunchtime." Marlie said as she poked her head into the smithy with a smile. "Are you almost done?"

"Just twenty-two more sides." Harry said as he was finishing up with the side that he was working on. "But I can stop once I'm done with this one." This wasn't an Artifact, so stopping in the middle wouldn't cause any problems. Even if it was an Artifact, just placing it on his anvil with his specially forged hammer on top of it would keep it in a magical stasis for twelve hours if necessary.

Marlie watched Harry work as he finished up with the etching of the side that he was working on. "You need to wash up a bit before lunch." She laughed softly when Harry stood up and pulled his work apron off, revealing that his shirt was soaked in sweat.

Harry waved his hand over himself and the sweat disappeared. Another wave and Harry smelled rather fresh, as if he'd just lightly spritzed himself with a mild cologne. "Done and done." He grinned at Marlie. "What's for lunch?"

"Tayla made us some roast chicken and vegetables." Marlie said with a smile, knowing how much Tayla enjoyed cooking her family the best meals that she could.

-10 Downing Street ~ London-

"Can it be done?" The man walking with Penny (and followed by multiple security personnel) asked as he watched Penny note down measurements of the building.

Penny finished writing down her newest measurement before looking at the man. "I believe that it can be done…but it'll take a while, Mr. Bennett. This is the largest Anti-Magic Area that I've contemplated, so far. I'll have to work out the Arithmancy before anything else to know the number of stones required, the optimal placement, and how much remodeling may be required to accommodate said placement."

Mr. Bennett nodded to the young woman, hardly able to tell she was a Witch given her clothing wasn't much different than normal, aside from the cloak over her shoulders. The simple-looking black cloth was a mystery to him as he'd watched Penny pull so many varied things from it over the time they'd been at the Prime Minister's residence. A few of said things definitely couldn't have fit within the cloak either, by common logic. "It'd be easier if we could somehow give all government personnel protection from Magic."

"That would require a lot of production work, but can be done to a point." Penny mentioned as she took another measurement. "I'd say that you could ask my boyfriend, but he's currently working on another project of his and I'm not sure when he'll be done with it." There was no need to tell them that Harry was working on a way to generate electricity without fuel. 'Harry would probably be annoyed with me for telling people before he had a working prototype to show them.' She stifled a giggle at the face she could imagine Harry making.

"Mr. Potter, correct? The Artificer?" Mr. Bennett asked politely.

Penny nodded to the government man. "Yes. He's well-versed in making items that protect the wearer from spells. I can give you a contact address for his business, though, as I said, it would be a very large production and I can't even estimate when you'd receive the items." Penny pulled out a piece of parchment from her Storage Cloak and handed it to Mr. Bennett with a smile.

"Thank you, Miss Clearwater." Mr. Bennett looked at the parchment.

Potter and Erdunn Creations ~ 47 Diurn Alley ~ London, England

Mr. Bennett quickly placed the parchment into the inner pocket of his suit jacket. Even if it took a long time, securing specific government personnel against Magical influence was of vital importance. 'We can't have another Magical attack without being able to secure the function of the government. That Ministry of Magic claims that they were blindsided just as much as we were, but we've been struck twice by the Magical already.' Mr. Bennet would rather not think in terms of 'us vs them' when it came to his own country, but it was difficult when ordinary people just going about their lives were being murdered by this previously hidden world. 'At the very least, some of them are clearly trying to help and make this integration work.' He looked at Penny and thought about all the help London had gotten from Witches and Wizards in its recovery from the Goblin attack.

"Did you want me to check the Anti-Goblin Wards while I'm here?" Penny asked as they moved on to the next location.

There wasn't much chance of any Goblins having escaped, but the temporary Anti-Goblin Wards were being maintained all over the city as a way to reassure the citizens that they were safe. It was a large task to maintain them all, but seeing Wizards and Witches actively helping out on the streets was another bit of goodwill that was helping to cool heads and ease tensions between the Non-Magical and Magical.

"That would be appreciated, Miss Clearwater." Mr. Bennett said with a nod and a smile.

-Delacour Chateau ~ France-

The French doors in the kitchen that led out onto the patio opened from the outside. However, if one were to look through the open doors, they wouldn't see the outside, instead they'd see the entryway of Potter Manor.

Fleur smiled at how easy it was to come see her parents and Gabby as she closed the doors behind her. Looking at her left forearm the faint image of tiny runic script in a vaguely key-shape was visible for a moment before fading away. Harry had placed the 'key' of the Door to Anywhere into her very flesh, just as he'd done with himself, Tonks, and Penny. It wasn't something that she could decipher either with how tiny the script was, and it didn't exist physically unless she was actively using the Door to Anywhere. The security of their home was paramount for Harry and all three of his eventual wives agreed.

"Fleur?" Apolline spoked as she entered the kitchen. A beautiful smile spread across her face at seeing her eldest daughter. "Welcome back, my little flower." She greeted Fleur in French while pulling her into a hug.

"Good afternoon, Maman." Fleur squeezed her mother back before they both kissed each other's cheeks in greeting. "I had some time off, so I wanted to see you."

Apolline guided Fleur to the living room, always happy to spend time with her daughter. "Shall we?" She gestured to a bottle of wine and the two wine glasses that had appeared on the table, courtesy of the Delacour Family's House Elf.

Fleur smiled at her mother. "We shall." The wineglass closest to her levitated into her hand gently. After the first glass of wine had been poured for each of them and they'd both had their first sips, Fleur let out a little sigh. "Much better."

"Is something wrong, Fleur?" Apolline asked curiously.

"No, no, the opposite." Fleur assured her mother with a smile. "Britain has been very crazy after the Goblin attack. It is nice to be away from that for a little while."

Apolline understood immediately. "You did very much to help them. Surely they are grateful?"

Fleur nodded once before sipping her wine again. "They are, but the situation is still tense. I wish there weren't so many violent incidents happening there."

"You can always bring your family here for a break from it all." Apolline reminded Fleur with a soft laugh. "France hasn't had many problems with the integration. Things here have remained mostly peaceful."

"Perhaps in the summer? I know Gabby would love to see everyone again." Fleur hummed thoughtfully with a little smile on her lips. "Harry is working on a new project to help extend some goodwill towards the Non-Magical after the attack. A way to generate power through Magic, rather than fuel."

Apolline sipped her wine before looking at Fleur playfully. "Your husband works too much."

Fleur sipped her own wine before replying with a smile. "Indeed he does. I should refocus his attention."

The two Veela shared a laugh that was warm and almost entrancing to those that weren't used to it.

"I thought he was preoccupied with the Gargoyle you were given by the Dwarves?" Apolline recalled what Fleur had told her a few days ago.

"He's not made much progress on that front, so he switched to the new item to give himself a break." Fleur giggled as she remembered Harry's cute pout at not being able to discover more about the odd black stone that the Gargoyle was made out of.

Apolline loved seeing Fleur so happy when talking about Harry. The two truly completed each other, just like she and Marius did and they had been happily married for almost twenty-five years already. "I do wonder when you'll have the wedding. Time waits for no one, my little flower."

Fleur made a show of over exaggeratedly rolling her eyes. "I know you want grandchildren, mother."

"Can you blame me?" Apolline asked before taking a sip of wine. "Gabrielle is going to Beauxbatons now. You're both still my little girls and always will be, but I'd love to have another little baby to hold and spoil."

"You could always ask Papa." Fleur teased with a giggle. Veela stayed fertile longer than human women and her mother could easily have another daughter if she wanted to.

Apolline smiled at her daughter. "Don't tempt me, little flower. Your child could grow up with her aunt."

The giggling laughter that followed filled the room.

-Diagon Alley ~ Gringotts Bank (formerly)-

Tonks watched over the 'reclamation' process of what used to be Gringotts. Dwarves were moving about here and there in the main area of the bank with the teller windows sorting through various documents and comparing what was in said documents as compared to what the bank actually held. Several Witches and Wizards had come to withdraw money, some had come to get ALL of their money out of the bank as control shifted over to the Dwarves. 'I don't know what they're so worried about. You can trust the Dwarves not to steal from you through exorbitant fees and fines.'

"You don't look like you're having much fun, lass." Drad said with a chuckle as he walked up to Tonks, the official 'liaison' between the Ministry of Magic and the Erdunn Dwarves.

"Watching you all get this place into order isn't exactly thrilling." Tonks said with a shrug. "Not that I couldn't use some downtime."

Drad nodded, patting his formerly broken arm. "Aye, we could all use some rest and relaxation after what we went through." He looked at his kin working to get the bank back in proper order, Dwarven order, not the barely hidden thievery that the Goblins had been doing for centuries. "But I can say that seeing this almost brings a tear to my eye."

Tonks could understand, knowing how long the Dwarves had been pushed to the very fringes of Magical Society. "I'm certainly not going to complain about working with you all when it comes to my finances from now on." She shot Drad a grin. "Though I'm not sure Harry will open a vault of his own. He's got his Rune Safe, after all."

"Brother Potter can open a vault for free whenever he wants." Drad snorted while waving his hand once. "The wealth entrusted to Erdunn's protection will always be safe."

"Speaking of Harrikins," Tonks and Drad both chuckled at the old nickname. "Have you guys made any progress with the Gargoyle? Harry's been trying a lot of things but he's not made any progress."

Drad let out a long exhale. "I wish I could say we had, but that'd be a lie." The prince of Erdunn shook his head once. "Father and myself, along with some of our most senior miners and elders have done just about everything we can think of to identify that black stone, but we've never seen the like of it before. I don't know who made those monstrosities, but whatever that stone is, it's not something formed normally, we know that much at least."

Tonks let out a low whistle. "Well shite… If it's stumping all of you and Harry as well, I don't know if anyone could identify it. I'll pass along that it's not a natural formation, if you want me to."

"Feel free. Father's still beating on it or researching it whenever he has a bit of free time." Drad chuckled a little, knowing that the continued beating of the black stone was just his father venting about being stumped.

-Near Hawaii ~ Moku Nalowale-

The tropical island was quite nice in Anna's opinion as she walked through the forest. Her guide was a native of the island and his family had been one of many of a long line of Magicals that had crossed the Pacific to discover and settle new islands in ages long past. This island, the Vanishing Island as it was so aptly named, had been hidden and protected as a refuge for their people for longer than the Statute of Secrecy had been a thing.

"We are only waiting on the time that we should begin." The man said in accented English. "You said it was this summer?"

"Yes, the summer solstice, to be exact." Anna confirmed with a nod as they exited the forest and stopped to look up at the mountain before them. "No one else has used a volcano for their site. That's quite ingenious, Kaimana."

Kaimana simply smiled a little as he looked up at the volcano. "The island is alive and with its power we will help set wrongs to right again." The wispy smoke rising from the top of the volcano made it easy to tell that it was still active, and the power the islanders would direct through it in the middle of the Pacific would help complete the full coverage of the Earth. "The summer solstice this year is…June twentieth, if I remember correctly."

"That's right. The longest day of the year where we can draw in the most energy from the sun for our great work." Anna said with a nod. "Can you show me the entire site?"

"Of course." Kaimana agreed easily as his feet left the ground and he floated in the air. "Follow me." He flew off to the east at a comfortable speed.

Anna grinned at the obvious challenge and her feet left the ground a second later. She moved through the air by her own will and quickly caught up to Kaimana. She didn't say a word, only raised an eyebrow at him when he looked at her.

Kaimana laughed as he looked forward again. "Great wisdom you have, Anna." The little test had only been to measure her aptitude with Magic. If she couldn't even comprehend the wisdom of flight, then the islanders could only respect her power, rather than her wisdom. A very important distinction for their people.

"We can go faster, or higher, if you'd like?" Anna offered with a shrug, the woman even rolling over onto her back as she flew through the air with her arms wide.

"No, no, we're almost at the first site already." Kaimana said with a chuckle while pointing at a spot at the base of the mountain that was arranged with carvings and stones in a clearly ritualized manner.

The two landed on the outskirts of the site and Kaimana motioned for Anna to follow after him as he explained the placement of the site in relation to the volcano and the island as a whole.

It wouldn't be much longer, only a few more months, before the day would come that the Great Change could take place. Everything was being given a final check, and anyone deemed a potential issue had been checked already. Everything was going according to plan and the fall of the Statute of Secrecy had been more of a boon to their group than anyone could've predicted. The chaos that had been caused made moving about much easier, though none of them took any chances, and everything was finally in place.

What would happen couldn't be predicted with accuracy. But their goal would be realized and the Magic of the world would be saved. That was all that mattered to their group.

What was a bit more chaos as compared to the complete disappearance of Magic?
