"Astoria knows about us."
Seamus raised an eyebrow as Daphne his (secret) girlfriend had asked to see him on a matter of some urgency, he had imagined all kinds of scenarios. Maybe she was pregnant, or her family were leaving Hogwarts. Maybe the Carrows suspected that she was spying on them. Maybe she was finally prepared to make the transition to becoming a fully fledged member of Dumbledore's Army.
He hadn't expected it to be this.
"Your sister?" he asked with a frown. "Surely she isn't-"
"She's seeing Draco Malfoy. In secret," Daphne said quickly. "Probably shagging him too."
"She's," he paused for a moment. "Fifteen, right?"
"Two days shy of her sixteenth birthday. But when has that ever stopped us?"
"So what's the problem?" he asked and Daphne sighed.
"The problem is that...well Draco is considered to be a 'safe' choice by my family. Doesn't cause any waves, isn't going to be a bad influence. You know, the kind of choice who isn't going to lead me into doing something stupid."
"Like a certain hot headed half blood Gryffindor?" he asked, his tone hardening. "Are you saying that they're fine with their fifteen year old daughter shagging an older boy, but not their older daughter shagging the 'wrong sort'?"
"You're the right sort of wrong," she said with a grin as she began to unbutton her blouse. "For me anyway. You think I want some boring, safe pureblood boy who'll bore me on dates and in the bedroom? No, I'm worried about what she's going to do with this information. If she thinks that it'll save me from the Carrows, she'll blow my cover."
"If she thinks that the Carrows won't hurt you, she's a fool," he said boldly and Daphne sighed.
"She's got good intentions," Daphne said, before shaking her head. "I think I managed to persuade her not to tell the Carrows or Professor Snape about us…"
"But you're worried about her telling your parents. Or leaking it to Malfoy and helping him regain favour with the Death Eaters," Seamus finished with a frown. "Daphne-"
"No," she said as she removed her blouse entirely and began unhooking her school skirt. "I'm not hiding away in the Room of Requirement while I can still do some good out here. Just..I might need to leave in a hurry if it goes bad."
"And what if they snatch you off the train like they did with Luna?" Seamus asked and Daphne shook her head. "I can't lo-"
Daphne cut him off with a deep and passionate kiss.
"You won't lose me silly. I'm a Slytherin. We excell at being sneaky. Just...help me forget. For a moment at least. Please?" she asked and Seamus kissed her once more.
"Yes, of course I will," he said as he began to undo his trousers.
