5Author's Notes: This fic takes place at the end of DC Legend's season 2 and in the Matt Smith era of Doctor Who right after "Angels Take Manhattan". I'm assuming everyone has watched both shows, but if not... Spoilers!

Part I.

It's strange, being in a million pieces.
There isn't much to do. You float around... Period.
Not much of a life, but then, Leonard Snart didn't expect to have even that much after the incident with the Oculus.
Considering how dull drifting through the universe is, he really would have preferred to die. He is quite literally bored out of his mind, but even that particular saying doesn't come close to what he is feeling.
Feelings. The thought makes him nauseated. Or it would, if he still had bodily functions. The only thing he can do out here is float around and feel things.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
No idea how long it's been, so don't ask. He couldn't much care anyways. A week, a millennium…does it matter? He's in a million pieces, like the snot-nosed kid from that movie about chocolate… he liked that kid. What was his name? Mike TV? Well, now he's 'Snart SD'—'Space Dust'. Doesn't have that great of a ring to it...in fact, forget he brought it up.
He has to admit, you can't beat the view. If he is destined to float around as cosmic dust for the rest of eternity, at least he gets to spend his days staring out into the vast magnificence of space. Stars, planets, nebulas… don't faint, but he finds it beautiful. He's part of it now, which is pretty cool. He gets the irony, the fact that he can now exist in the coldest place in the universe without even blinking an eye. If he had eyes, that is. He's the Ultimate Captain Cold…as far as legacies go, that's not so bad.
By the way, if you tell anyone Leonard Snart's looking on the bright side whilst floating around the universe as an amorphic cloud, he'll kill you.
