Hello everyone thanks you so so so much for all your passions and reviews on this story. I am very sorry for the very long wait on this story. 2024 has been crazy and that is kind of an understatement. I already have Chapter 19 in motion as well so the next chapter 'hopefully' won't be as losing of a wait (hope I didn't just jix it). With everything going on I also had some bad writer's block for this story. I had an idea on where I was going with the story but didn't really know how to get there. So here is a shout out to my Beta reader IDKjustreading for editing this chapter and helping me get back on track. Hope you all enjoy this chapter.

Ps: also I have finally uploaded my image of the new camp's uniforms to my instagram. Fire_spirit_creations from chapter 13 or 14? Now I can't remember if you want to check it out.

Pss: also for all the artists out there loving this story and PM me asking to do art for this story as much as I appreciate the enthusiasm and am glad all of you are liking this story and inspiring you to create. I also love looking at everyone else's artwork as that also inspires me. I am not looking to pay for any commissioned artwork right now. However, if you are wanting to do a collaboration with me I am wanting to write some comics and fantasy novels (to be published hopefully). I have actually already written a children's book about a dragon that I am working on drawing out starting here in November. (yea I am an artist too though I am not good at drawing people I prefer world building and object drawing) so if you are interested in this PM me or message me on Instagram, so we can talk details. Thank you.

Okay that was a lot now on to the story…

Stepping out the door, Peter had a lot to do before they left. First he needed to talk with Jason about the mission details, Then he needed a new costume. And finally, to go to the camp store to get the other supplies he was told to pack for an extended trip.

With a little note pad in his hand, he had only two things checked off. Fill up his web shooters- which he did yesterday when he was in the workshop, he even made some improvements with the help of Amber and Leo. - and get Bucky on the mission.

Sure, he didn't do much to achieve that since Bucky had won the mock fight against Clarisse, but it still felt good to check it off his list.

Peter walked around camp, people either waving at him as he passed or just too busy to notice him. This was probably the lightest he felt for the last few days. Besides the meeting this morning, he finally didn't feel like he was being watched or that he was an outsider. He wasn't sure if that was because he was going on a mission and leaving, or if everyone somehow accepted him now. Or maybe they thought he was going to die on the mission and that they should be nicer to him. Peter shook his head. He didn't need those thoughts to ruin his mood.

Peter sighed, wondering how he could have already lost Jason. He went back to the arena, thinking maybe that he would still be there, then checked the pavilion and the obstacle course. He even asked the talking statue if Jason had passed into the city border but he… it wasn't overly helpful. It still hadn't seen Jason or Percy.

Peter sighed once again, thinking he would have to ask someone. Looking around, he made his way over to one of the other training grounds and saw Mr. Bunner watching the campers' practice. Peter hesitated, not sure if he should interrupt, but before he could turn away to find someone else to ask the director called out to him.

"Mr. Parker, is there something I can help you with?" he asked. Peter cringed slightly, just like if he was just caught red handed by a teacher.

"Yeah… umm I didn't mean to disturb you; I was just looking for Jason." he said walking closer to the director. The older man smiled at him; his worn eyes seemed a little too sparkly.

"It's no bother young man, it is my job to help all my campers with what they need before they head out into the world." He said this somewhat sadly and Peter didn't feel like he should remind the old man that he wasn't a camper. Seeing the worn tired look in his eyes just made him think of how many kids he had tried to help prepare for the dangerous missions in the outside world. And how many never returned.

Peter cleared his throat. "Yeah, I just want to make sure I have everything before tomorrow."

Brunner nodded. "Follow me," he said. Peter wanted to protest about not wanting to burden the director when all he needed were some directions, however he still found himself silently following.

Following the rough, cobbled path Peter was surprised to find how easily the director's wheelchair got round on the uneven ground. Looking down he wondered if some of the medical staff or the engineering campers added cool and/or dangerous features to the chair. As his mind came out of its musings, Peter realized he wasn't sure of their destination.

"If you don't mind me asking sir, where are we going?"

"We are going to the Big House, I don't think you stopped there on your tour," Mr Brunner replied kindly.

Peter's eyes widened slightly, remembering the building being mentioned before. He got so lost in thought again wondering what the building would be like or what would be waiting for him there that he only vaguely remembered stepping through some sort of archway, and a sensation that felt a bit like falling. Did he trip? Peter shook the foggy mist off his thoughts as Director Brunner's wheelchair stopped in front of him."

"And here we are."

Peter looked up, seeing a massive blue house with a wraparound porch overlooking the ocean. It looked like an actual turn of the century suburban mansion. The other director, the one that gave Peter a bad feeling and smelled like alcohol, sat on the porch wearing a loud Hawaiian shirt playing a kind of card game.

"Well, if it isn't our guest Parry Patterson," he drawled in a very 'couldn't be bothered' tone. Peter spluttered a little, now knowing how annoying it must be for someone calling you the wrong name for years.

"It is Peter Parker sir." He said as politely as he could, severely hoping it didn't come out snarky yet knowing that correcting the director probably wasn't going to change anything. Mr. D didn't even acknowledge that he had spoken. Peter, unsure what else to do, continued to follow director Brunner into the house. The first thing he noticed was a leopard head over the mantle which he found a little off putting. Burner walked into a copper lined room. Peter saw a landline phone off to one side and a single computer.

"I believe you will be needing this?" Mr. Brunner announced bringing Peter out of his thoughts. In the director's hands was Mr. Stark's case. The one he couldn't believe he had forgotten about since coming to camp. Once again Peter began to panic. He was told to keep this case out of enemy hands and that the technology in there could be very, very dangerous if the wrong people got a hold of it.

"Umm thanks" Peter said, trying not to show how shaken that the camp had the case the whole time, he remembered taking the case from the compound but somehow forgot about it when he woke up here.

"You do not have to worry Mr. Parker; it has been untouched in this room since your arrival." Mr. Bunner said as if sensing his unease.

"Thank you" Peter said, making a quick check and it was a relief that the director was right there was no sign that the case had been tampered with.

"Umm, director?" Peter began to ask he wasn't sure about this but he felt that this director could be trusted. "Do you think… could this case be sent off to Shield?"

"It could be arranged," Director Bunner nodded, holding out his hand to take the case again. Peter hesitated for a second before handing it over. It was better this way. If the director wasn't lying and it got to SHIELD, that meant he didn't have to carry the heavy case around and potentially lose it on this dangerous rescue mission; plus, he wasn't sure if he was ever coming back to this camp.

"Actually, do you mind if I get something out of the case.. For the mission before you send it off to SHIELD… and if you don't mind could I do it privately?" Peter asked

"Of course, follow me." the director said once again. Handling the case over and wheeling out of the room. Peter was a little disappointed not being able to stay in the office. Maybe he could have contacted someone. But that he guessed was a little too much to ask for. He was taken to another room that had a Ping-Pong table and way too many chairs stacked up against a wall. Peter didn't want to ask. This Big House seems different, almost disjointed from the rest of camp. Of course he hadn't seen the rest of the large house, but it didn't feel militaristic as many of the other buildings had. But also, it didn't feel like a home either… Or not, really, it just felt out of place.

Once the director left Peter carefully put Mr. Stark's case on the Ping-Pong table and looked around making sure there were no cameras as he opened the case. He began building a new spiderman suit and web shooters.

If he was going to go on this mission he was going as Spider-Man, not as a camper.

Percy and Jason.

"So, what did Rachel want?" Jason asked as he came up behind Percy, both watching as the oracle walked down the street.

"A warning" Percy stated flatly.

"Did she have a prophecy?" Jason asked in alarm

"No… it. It wasn't like that but she can sense how dangerous this mission will be. I have a feeling not everyone is going to make it back from this one." Percy said quietly, turning and walking in the other direction.

They walked in silence for a few minutes, heading away from the bustle of campers to somewhere they could talk in private.

"Are you having second thoughts on who would be coming with us?" Jason asked, sitting down on the pavilion.

Percy let out a tired sigh "no." he paused "I hate this." he sighed

"The mission or something else?" Jason asked.

"All of it. I'm tired of all of this." Percy muttered.

"Is that why you let the Avengers capture you so easily? Is that why you haven't tried to escape or fought back? Thinking that they would leave you alone if you were imprisoned?"

"When the avengers captured me I thought I have the worst luck, the fates of the world whatever just hate me they push me take everything I have and expect me to give more they push me to see what will break me and you know what I think I reached that point." Percy hissed running a hand thought his air Jason was a little surprised at the honesty and looked around nervously to see if anyone was listening

"because of Annabeth?" he whispered, turning back to Percy.

"She died in my arms! I have lost to many friends I have made so… so many mistakes and others paid the price." His voice faltered

"You don't share that blame alone and-" he didn't get to finish as Percy cut him off.

"Jason we are made to die that's it they train us to survive to fight but it doesn't matter we all die in the end we are trained to move on quickly because we don't have time to mourn 'we need to take solace in those still alive' but you know what I am tired of it eight years I have been fighting none stop and I am tired." His voice dropped "I am so tired all I want is a break but I know that will never happen, not until I meet something I can't handle and I die."

"Are you thinking of killing yourself?" Jason asked eyes narrowing

Percy snorted "no my instincts would never allow it…"

"Is that why you are so self-sacrificing because you want to die?" Jason spoke his tone flat remembering all the times Percy jumped in head first into danger not even caring if he lived or died. Jason had thought he knew why thought that he was just hurting because of Annabeth but now he could see it was deeper than that.

"I don't think I would find peace even if I was allowed to die." Percy sighed "I'm just tired…" The two stayed silent for a while little did either of them know Bucky was hiding in the bushes off the pavilion wall. Bucky was on his way to find these two teens instead of resting only to see they were having a private conversation he kind of just hid… Now he felt that he was intruding on a very personal moment but he didn't dare move. Bucky's thoughts began swirling again, thinking back to all the conversations the Avengers had if Percy and Jason not fighting them was somehow a cry for help and it seemed that at least for Percy it was. Peeking from his hiding spot he could see all of Percy's walls down how old he looked, how tired, angry and in pain he felt.

"Percy…" Jason spoke softly after a few minutes "I know I can't say anything that is going to change how you are feeling; but Annabeth's Death wasn't your fault. You don't have to feel guilty and hope that you will die like she did." Jason paused, he was frustrated too and he was getting angry at Percy, not for feeling this way but for wanting it all to end… for giving up. "Don't go thinking that you will be able to protect everyone as long as you're strong enough! Can't you see Percy you are hiding it well I can give you that but it is hurting you and everyone else is starting to pick up on that heck even I have noticed you haven't been the same since you escaped the pit." at that Percy flinched as Jason's voice was rising "you're only making it worse for the ones that are still alive around you. I can't do this by myself, Percy." Jason paused, taking a deep breath Percy mask had fallen back into place and in a way it just made Jason angrier. "I know that you're hurting right now, you have been hurting for a long time now. You're hurting so much that you can't wait to die. But… and I might not have any right to say this." Jason's voice falters, turning away from Percy "but you have to stay alive, endure it no matter how hard it gets, you can't just fall like this no matter what you've lost. We have all lost people and we will still lose them but we can't dwell on them just think about what we are doing right now." Jason said his voice now barely above a whisper. He was glad Percy opened up to him but angry at the same time wishing he had never seen this side of Percy.. He knew Percy was a human being like the rest of them despite the stories he has heard ever since he heard the name Percy Jackson. But right now, he didn't want this Percy. he wanted the legend; he wanted the strength and he felt bad for asking that of Percy after everything.

Bucky's eyes were wide listening to this shocked and heartbroken he felt like he had now seen just how much was on their shoulders, how much pain Percy had been through without knowing the specifics. Percy shouldn't, none of these kids deserved any of it. He wanted to jump up from his hiding spot and agree with Jason to say that everything was going to be okay and that he didn't have to fight anymore. But Percy did, they all did. They were leaving for a rescue mission tomorrow; they were still weapons and there was nothing Bucky could do to back up his wish. Ever since coming to this camp and hearing some of the stories surrounding Percy and Jason he found that most were about Percy, he was seen as a hero here, the one that stood up to save the world, the leader everyone looked up to and wanted to be. The one constantly fighting for others, and not himself. Bucky had grown to respect the teens for everything they were trying to fight for, how they had been thought more than even Bucky could imagine and was still kind, how they still held up to their morals when the world gave them nothing but darkness. But after hearing that, Bucky saw the kid again, the kid that was scared and hurt and had been holding up the weight of the world for so long he just needed help. It was enough to make Bucky cry.

Bucky watched the two teens sit in silence for what seemed like eternity. He wondered if Percy was going to lash out or break down.

Percy sighed "your right." stood turning to look out over camp " your right that I have been off lately an seemed to just…" his voice faltered he shook his head "it doesn't matter you are right there is a job we have to do and I know everyone that died along the way are still with us if only in our hearts… that might sound a little cheesy as I am saying it out loud and I guess I should have listened to you those months ago. You have followed me when it came to the Avengers and I appreciated that. Thank you Jason… for having my back and knocking some sense into me."

"Is that still an option? I could throw you around a few times if you think it would help." Jason said a small smile gracing his lips.

Percy snorted "yeah I will keep that in mind. I think you missed your calling as a motivational speaker."

"Yeah maybe in another lifetime." Jason said the air around them was not as heavy as it was before. "Come on, we still have a lot of work to do before tomorrow. You with me?"

"Yeah." Percy said without hesitation "I'm with you" both of them walked away from the pavilion leaving a still stunted Avenger. Buck stood watching the two teens leave. Now more determined than ever to help them anyway he could after the Avengers were rescued.

Never knowing that their conversation just then was overheard they made their way to the secret section of the library. Percy seemed a little lighter but Jason didn't know if he was faking it or not. Getting out a note book he wrote down that he needed to check in with Percy again to make sure he was good. Jason wrote lists to help himself organize his thoughts as well as his emotions he wrote down a quick note about his feelings on hearing Percy confession as they sat down at the only long table in the archive.

"Okay where should we start?" Percy asked as a way to break the silence.

"As much as I would like to discuss this quest, sorry mission with everyone that is going to be difficult with Bucky and Peter around while maintaining secretly like the gods ordered."

"Okay…" Percy drawled "from what the scout team found we know they are somewhere in Bulgaria and being held by a group named Hydra. Who has something to do with our world or is working with someone from our world…" Percy paused to frown. "I have been thinking a lot about this actually but tell me did you find anything out?"

"I told you about HIVE and that I did find a connection between that group and this HYDRA, a few centuries- long connection which might be what connects them to us. Cloves and Nico have also been looking into this and it seems there is another group helping them from deeper in the shadows."

Percy nodded "yeah I have been having dreams from the past things that Luke said on the princes andromeda how his activities were funded by this mysterious group and also something very dangerous." he sighed "I can't really explain but something feels so close I can taste it but yet it also feels we don't have as close to as many puzzle pieces as we think we do. Something is just not adding up. It is giving me a headache" he muttered the last part running a hand through his hair.

"And we still don't know what either group has to do with the Avengers besides Bucky's passed involvement with them or why we need to work with them and still not tell them anything.." Jason frowned; he didn't like the thought of what Hydra did to Bucky and didn't really want to think about it. But he did know what it was like having your memories played with; he shuddered at the thought of someone messing with them for years instead of what happened with Percy and himself.

The two talked for a little while longer about the mission itself and came up with a basic game plan. Leaving the library, they spotted Peter with a note in his hand looking a little lost.

"Hey Pete!" Percy waved and the younger teen turned to see them and smiled.

"You look lost." Jason stated as they got closer.

"Yeah you could say that I am trying to find the stuff from the list Hazel and Director Bunner gave me on what I needed to bring. But I can't seem to find what I am looking for. Also, Jason, I was looking for you earlier."

"For me? What did you need?" Jason asked a Percy snatched the notes from Peter

"Well Director Bunner answered one of them but the other question I had was about the mission and well if I would be…"

"We would never force you to kill anyone." Jason cut off thinking he knew where this was going he gave Peter a warn cold look finishing off "Peter you are not a camper and I would rather be killed then see you become one." Peter eyes widened as he looked at the two teens Percy seemed to agree with that statement either though he did say anything.

"We will make sure you get back to where you belong so don't worry about it." Percy added after a beat of silence. "Come on let's get you the things you and Bucky need." Percy and Jason turned leading the way and Peter frowned as much as he was pleased by the answer Jason gave he hated it at the same time seeing that Jason and Percy practically declared that they would protect him and that they would face death so he didn't half to and it made him angry he was Spider-man for crying out loud he was a hero and the first other heroes he meant that don't just treat him like a child the first ones his own age he felt a connection to the first one he wanted to call fiends and had accepted him without looking down at him without looking at him or calling him a freak were going to push him away protect him without asking him if that was what he wanted willing to die for him when he has already lost more people then he carried to count even before meeting the Avengers. It made him want to scream. He didn't know what to say but right now he wanted to throw away the "friendly" in the friendly neighbor Spider-man just to punch the most annoyingly noble friends he probably ever had.

"Peter you coming?" Jason asked when he notice Peter wasn't following them.

"Yeah, yeah I'm coming but could you let me protect you too?" he asked running up to the two older teens. Jason and Percy shared a looked

"Being us… our lives is like looking both ways before you cross the street then being hit by an airplane. Peter you shouldn't try to protect us and if we do die I hope you don't beat yourself up for it, which I have a feeling you do with the people you couldn't save." Percy said seriously not looking back at peter.

'I don't care, I will try.' Peter thought anyway as they continued to walk to a small shop in the middle of the city.

"And here we are." Percy said, breaking the silence. Peter looked up at what looked like an ordinary wooden shack with a large wooden sign that said CAMP STORE in bright orange letters. The shack would have looked out of place if this city wasn't so architectly mismatched to begin with. Peter shrugged as he shouldn't be surprised anymore at this point and they walked in.

A few hours later

The group Peter has been seeing more of friends lately meet up for dinner in the pavilion Peter didn't feel intimidated or unwanted in this group of officers in fact he joined in on the joking with Leo feeling a little more relaxed than he has in a while but also he felt a little on edge form the conversations that he has had to the meeting and what they will be setting out to do tomorrow. But seeing how everyone else was just trying to enjoy each other's company he felt oddly at peace.

Then Peter looked over at Bucky who hadn't really said a word over dinner and was just mindlessly picking at his food. Watching Percy with a sad and concerning gaze.

"What's wrong?" Peter whispered over to him hoping he wasn't drawing any attention to the adult in the group.

Unfortunately, he did as the conversation shifted to him. "Bucky you should have something you might not get a meal like this once we are out on the rescue mission." Jason said killing the rest of the conversation

"Is there something bothering you?" Hazel asked

"It's nothing." Bucky muttered

Percy's eyes narrowed at that but it seemed only peter saw as everyone else was focus on Bucky.

The group changed the subject as not to press to lighter things to try and get Bucky's mind off of want every was bothering him and Peter could see Bucky lighting up a bit but he had known the Avenger long enough to see he was just acting. Peter made a mental note to check in with him later.

Later never really came after a short war game which was lucky not ending with Bucky attacking anyone or him being knocked out. Both he and Bucky when back to the barracks and fell right to sleep for the next morning their minds would be on other things.

The next morning the mission team met at the pavilion for breakfast Peter noticed the girl from the workshop, Amber he remembers, and Hazel were the other two on the team. All of them seemed relaxed, joking like old friends on their way out, not people on a military excursion. Will told them it was a way of relieving tension before a mission. After their meal, quipping, hoping that it wouldn't be their last, they discussed the mission details a bit and they all headed to the far side of camp beyond their tour.

"Do you have anything to declare?" Terminus asked as they neared the Camp border.

Percy sighed. "Do we have to do this every time? You know what I am going to say."

The statue narrowed his eyes at Percy then huffed. "Fine, fine, then what about the rest of you, anything to declare?"

"Declare what?" Peter asked.

"That this is stupid! Just declare that… we do have orders to leave camp." Percy said, pulling out an envelope and waving it at the statue "which you have already been informed of so do we have permission to pass?"

"Very well, take care, all of you." The statue sniffed.

"Thanks, Terminus." Jason and Hazel said as they passed. If Peter didn't know any better, he would have thought the statue was sad to see them go. He hoped he was just seeing things, and yet in some weird way, he also hoped this wasn't the last time he got to see the border talking statue either. it... he had grown on Peter in the few days he was at camp.

When they stepped beyond the border Bucky's and Peter's eyes widened. it seemed they walked pasted a door or solid wall instead of more fields and forest they now stood on a tarmac a light private jet sat at the ready. Turning around there was no sign of the Terminus or the camp.

"What?... How?..." Bucky asked, looking back to where he thought the camp border was. He was about to take a step back over the line when Hazel grabbed his arm.

"You can't go back now. Yes, this is the border of camp, Terminus is the one protecting and monitoring it. To get back into camp you have to pass security again and we don't really have time for that." She said as she gently guided him towards the plane.

Percy grumbled a little as he walked towards the aircraft and Bucky remembered Percy's dislike for flying.

"Where's our pilot?" Peter asked as they loaded into the compartment. Buckly noted their surroundings. Everything seemed abandoned. There was a hangar a little way to the west but as far as he could tell no one was there either. They were alone with this one plane.

"I am," Jason said with a small smile.

Percy stared at Jason for a second as he turned back around to help grab any bags. Which was unnecessary seeing as they all packed light. Once they were settled Jason climbed into the pilot seat, doing his checklist and radioed back to camp when they were taking off.

Bucky kept an eye outside through the window to see if he could figure out where this secret island was located, but once again things seemed to work against him since they took off over water and when they were high enough in the sky all he saw were clouds. So, he then begins counting, trying to see how long the fight will be when they hit Bulgaria.

"Is this going to be a long flight? Do we get an inflight movie?" Peter snarked when they were well in their first hour of the flight.

"What is an inflight movie?" Hazel asked and Peter remembered they don't have access to fun technology like video games and movies.

"It's a…Never mind but seriously how long is this flight?" Peter asked.

"It is going to take a while; you should try getting some sleep because knowing us there won't be much time for that when we get to Bulgaria" Percy said thinking about restless or dream filled sleep that came in shifts and were often interrupted by monster attacks. This however was going to be different. They were also up against mortals. Chiron told them to be prepared for mortals as well as immortal threats so he figured this was going to be the only time he was going to get any real sleep until they were safely back at camp.

The plane shook a little with turbulence. Percy tensed knowing that it was normal but he just couldn't stop thinking about them crashing. Also, he was vaguely aware of Bucky watching him and for some reason it was also putting him on edge wondering why Bucky's demeanor had changed how he was more intense more considered for them or was he mad about something Percy wasn't sure and the plane ride want exactly giving him any reassurance or a clear mind without the thought of them dropping from the sky in a fire ball or something. Eventually Percy fell into restless sleep. His mind shifting into a dream…

Everything was on fire that was the first thing Percy noticed and for a second he actually thought that the plane did crash in a fire ball of glory. But then he noticed he was standing and front of the ruins or a city around him he was in a city completely ablaze.

"With this fire we will rise from the ashes in a new world uncontrolled from the gods" a voice boomed over the flames Percy tuned shielding his eyes and face from the flames. Percy didn't dare call out as he tried to make out the figures as cheers of a army rang out drowning the roar of the fire. It was so loud Percy almost lost his footing from what seemed like an invisible force. The destroyed world around him faded and he was now in a cold room he felt a presence somewhere in the dark but it also felt like it was all around him.

"You are too late, Perseus to save this world or your precious gods. Join us and be free from them to once again be whole." a voice hissed vibrating throughout his entire body. He saw Luke repeating the words other friends he had lost throughout the years asking him to join them once again but Percy lost it when he saw Annabeth the one he missed the most, her golden hair and her smile asking him never to leave her again as he had promised as they had promised. He almost took a step forward but stopped. "You can see her again to live the life you have always dreamed of. The life that was meant to be yours." the hissing voice came back the faces melting back into the shadows

Percy closed his eyes so many times before he has been approached about changing side and the one he always held back for the one that kept him grounded was gone Annabeth was gone and yet he was still fighting for what the god's that never seem to change the one he has been cleaning up after for the past 8 years… Percy shook his head he can't be going down that way of thinking for he may never come back from that.

"I know you're lying; I know you can't bring any of them back and you. I will warn you now never to use her face against me, you won't live long enough to regret it!" Percy growled his world faded back to black

Bucky only counted 5 hours of flying before he felt the plane descending. Was there a problem he wasn't aware of?

"Are we there already?" Bucky asked Jason quietly as everyone else was asleep.

"No, we're landing, I need to refuel." Jason called back. As Bucky turned to wake everyone he saw Percy was already awake and on high alert but also seeming more tired than before whereas the others slowly came too. Bucky looked out the window again to see if he could figure out their location.

"Where are we?" Peter asked as the plane touched down.

"Panama," Jason responded. Bucky frowned a little. He thought Camp was in central America but they had only been in the air for maximum 6 hours

"Then we are going to need a bigger plan if we want to make it across the Atlantic." Bucky commented.

"Why didn't we just take the Argo?" Amber asked.

"Oh yeah, THAT would have gone over great! Take a giant war machine to Europe again," Percy muttered sarcastically. Bucky eyes widened a little, what kind of craft is this Argo?

"It would have been better with its stealth capabilities." Amber argued.

Percy shook his head. "It is still being fixed from the damage it took during the war and I doubt Leo would want us wrecking his baby again flying across the Atlantic." Percy said and the other campers nodded in agreement.

"Everyone hang tight, I'm going to see if I can trade this for a plane that can get us across the Atlantic." Jason said as they stopped at a hanger, and turning off the engines.

They climbed out of the light jet, spotting a man standing nearby looking rather miffed holding a clipboard. Jason nodded back to the rest of them and walked over.

"Don't we need to check our passports or something?" Peter asked, a little worried because he didn't have his, as Jason and the man walked a little further from the plane.

"First time out of the country?" Amber asked Peter

"No, I have been to Germany a few months ago but that's about it." Peter answered.

Bucky knew for covert stuff like this they probably didn't even file a flight plan with anyone. Bucky thought about slipping away to get to the phone in the office of the hanger to call SHIELD but thought better of it. He wasn't sure how the campers would take that, and they were still very far from Bulgaria. Bucky filed the idea away for later, when they were closer he would ask for SHIELD assistance. He didn't want SHIELD getting in the way of their rescue and, knowing Fury, he would probably intercept their progress and arrest the campers before the Avengers could be saved. Bucky sighed.

He also thought about contacting Wakanda, but wasn't sure how to.

Jason came back a little while later.

"Bucky, do you know how to fly?" Jason asked when he was close enough to the group.

"Yeah, I can fly most jet engines." Bucky said.

"And Amber?" Jason asked

"I am still learning to fly the small crafts, but nothing bigger than medium, single engine jets." she said with a shake of her head.

"Okay Bucky, can you be my co-pilot? We are taking that plane." Jason said as he pointed to a larger private jet. One with two engines and tipped wings; it was pulled up alongside their own smaller plane. The larger jet still only needed one pilot so Bucky assumed he was there to switch out when Jason needed a break. The man from earlier climbed out, looking like he had a complete 180 on his mood. He was smiling at them as he came over.

"She's all fueled up and ready to go sir. And thank you for choosing Copa Airlines."

"Uh, Jason what did you do to him? You didn't threaten him or something, did you?" Peter leaned over to whisper.

"If I could just get you to sign-"

"That won't be necessary -uh, Daniel" Percy cut in, reading the tech's name badge. The tech frowned a little and was about to say something as Percy continued, "In fact just forget we were ever here." Percy smiled as he clapped the man on the shoulder. Bucky watched in alarm as the tech looked a little uncertain but nodded and wandered off, unnervingly cheerful once more.

Turning back to everyone Percy called, "Come on, we still have a long way to go."

"Now you sound eager to get on a plane, Perce." Jason asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You expecting trouble?" Bucky asked when he caught up, wondering if Daniel was now calling the authorities

"Always." was Percy's ominous answer.
