I do not own The Descendants or the characters. All I own is the plot, the story and any OC that may show up at any point in the story. Mal and the rest of the descendants belong to Melissa De La Cruz, while Maleficent, Cruella, Jafar, Evil Queen, and all other Disney villains and Heroes belong strictly to the World of Walt Disney. Hope you Enjoy and Please review if you want to see more.

NOTE: The only OC's who will be appearing within this story will be Harry's twin brother Hartley who is wheelchair bound and was born smaller and weaker then his brother Harry. The twins both have dark hair and ice blue eyes and even though Hartley is kind hearted unlike his brother he still wears clothes similar to that of his brother (Minus the hook of course)

Chapter 1 -Don't mess with a Hook

Come down to the Black Sea
Swimming with me, ah-ooh, ooh
Go down with me, fall with me
Let's make worth it, ah-ooh, ooh

A thousand nights have passed
Change doesn't happen overnight
Not visible at first (no)
It's important to hold on, hold on

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Inject your advice to me
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Incinerate our shackles

TEN YEARS AGO...

The night air was cool and the smell of salt hung in the air as the waves lapped up against the side of the Jolly Roger. The moon a soft shade of silvery white was barely visible against the clouds as Captain Hook paced back and forth from his desk his dark his eyes catching glimpses of the map that was frailed and tattered with the designation circled toward Neverland. Captain James Hook deemed himself as the most fearsome pirate to ever ruled the seven seas, but now he was angry with himself for not being able to kill a single lost boy who could fly with the aid of pixie dust.

"One day I will get my hands on you Peter Pan." He muttered grabbing a silver goblet perched on the edge of his desk and taking a sip before clasping into his chair.

"Mr. Smee!" He croaked out with a hiccup as he drank the last bit that was in his goblet.

"Y-yes, s-sir?" Came the stuttering voice that belonged to his first mate who poked his head into his captain's corridors. "Need a refill." Hook said slurring slightly on his words as the alcohol began to take effect. "Hurry up and make it snappy I don't have all night!" He snapped as Mr. Smee immediately hurried off on his mission, and while he waited for him to return an evil idea suddenly filled his now drunken mind. Maybe there was a way he could lure Peter Pan to him but the question was how?

Then a sickening thought began to form in his mind as he thought about his children more specifically to his twin boys, and with the thought running through his mind with his eyes seeing nothing but a haze of red due to his drunken stupor, He rose from the chair and began stumbling out of his corridors just as the sight of Mr. Smee nearly crashed into him.

"I-I have y-your refill sire." He said smoothing his long white beard as he handed his master the goblet. Captain Hook took the goblet from his first mate and downed it in one gulp then threw the goblet against the side of the ship causing shards of glass to fly everywhere across the floor, but Hook didn't care all he cared about was finally getting revenge on that damned lost boy and he was going to do one way or another even if it meant costing a few innocent souls their lives it didn't matter to him.

As he found himself stumbling even more across the deck trying to hold his balance as the ocean waves rocked the ship, he now found himself staring stright up into the ice blue eyes of a woman with long dark hair dressed in a once beautiful blue dress that was now tattered due to years of abuse.

"Get out of my way wretched woman." He growled but she didn't budge as her blue eyes stared hard at her drunken husband. "I know what your planning James, and I won't let you go through it." She said not daring to take her eyes off him, but Hook wasn't in the mood of any of this tonight. This was going to be his time to get revenge on Peter Pan and no one not even his own wife was going to stand in his way.

"You can't do this James!" His wife shouted as he pushed her away from him and continued down to the barracks where he knew his three young children were fast asleep, but the sudden grip on his arm from his wife made him turn around and slashed the air nearly cutting her across the cheek as she stopped him. "Please James don't do this." She begged softly.

"They're just little boys who haven't done anything wrong!"

"Your wife is right Sir." Piped up the voice of Mr. Smee. "They are only children after all."

Hook growled in anger as his eyes seemed to glow red in frustration as he turned to the short bearded man raising his hook to his chin causing the man to whimper out of fear.

"Never go against me again." He growled through gritted teeth. "You are loyal only to me and no one else. Is that clear Mr. Smee?"

Mr. Smee gulped loudly as his blue eyes widened in fear from behind his glasses as they fell upon his Captain's Hook aimed at his throat and slowly nodded.

"Y-yes u-understood c-c-captain."

James growled and removed his hook from under Mr. Smee's chin before turning to the rest of his crew as they all gathered to see what the commotion was about. "This goes for all of you!" Hook yelled out turning to the rest of the crew. "Don't mess with a Hook or you'll be sleeping with the sharks in Day Jones's locker." He threatened with his eyes blazing in anger as he raised his hook hand high into the air making Mr. Smee cower in fear, which Hook promptly ignored.

Come down to the Black Sea
Swimming with me, ah-ooh, ooh
Go down with me, fall with me
Let's make worth it, ah-ooh

You rise, I fall
I stand, you crawl
You twist, I turn
Who's the first to burn?
You sit and stay
I don't obey

Where do we land in the Black Sea?
Ooh, ooh, in the Black Sea
Where do we land in the Black Sea?

"Now as for you my dear Jocelyn." He said his voice slowly calming down as he turned to his wife. He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her close to him with his hooked hand close to her face. Her eyes followed her husband's hook as he dangled it now in front of her neck and a shiver of fear ran down her spine which she desperately tried to hide. She wasn't going to give him the satisfaction that she was terrified and honestly she wasn't afraid for her own life as she was more concerned for her young twin boys who she hadn't seen much of since they were born, and were now around the age of six or her young daughter either who was around the age of at least eight. "If you ever disrespect me again, I'll make sure to slit your pretty little neck from ear to ear." Hook replied grinning an evil sinister smile but Jocelyn wouldn't budge even an inch to show her husband the fear she was holding in.

"Mommy?" the sudden cry of a small child brought Hook's gaze up to the sight of one of his young sons dressed in a suit that resembled his as he carried a small plastic hook in his hand. It was practically the only way Hook could ever tell his sons apart and his eyes lit up in evil glee as he let go of his wife and brushed the sleeves of his long red cloak as if nothing had happened.

"There's my little prodigy." Hook murmured as an evil glee spread across his face. "How are you my little Harry?"

Harry's gaze wasn't focused on his father however but up at his mother who just stood her ground not daring to make a move in case her husband made a move on her and she couldn't bear the thought of her own children witnessing something so terrible.

"Mommy?" Harry's dark hair became tousled by the salty wind and his eyes the same color of his mother's started making a move toward her his arms outstretched to show affection but his father quickly intervened his hooked hand whipping the young boy across the face as he let out a cry as a slash appeared on his cheek and started bleeding.

"Get up boy!" Hook growled at his young son was now on the floor of the ship cowering in fear and holding his cheek with tears pooling in his eyes. "You're a villain Harry!" Hook growled. "Villains don't show affection of any kind you hear me?"

"James stop it!" His wife cried out but Hook ignored her as he bent down low to eye level with his son as he asked, "Do you hear me boy?"

But this time his wife couldn't stand by any longer as she pushed her husband away from her baby boy and attempted to scoop him up into her arms and carry him off to safety, but just as she had ahold of Harry, was the instant she felt a searing pain slash into her back. She cried out and fell to the floor of the ship letting go of Harry as he slid across the deck of the ship.

"Run baby!" Jocelyn cried out. "Find your brother and sister and hide baby! go on Harry now!"

You're giving up, I'm tired (oh)
The tug of war that we're playing (we're playing)
I'm not giving up I'm trying
To tell you, to tell you, to tell you, to tell you

Ooh, ooh
Inject your advice to me
Ooh, ooh
Incinerate our shackles

Come down to the Black Sea

Harry made it to his feet and did as his mother was told running down to the deck's barracks where he found his sister Harriet rising from her bed and rubbing sleep out her eyes as she reached over and turned on a nearby lantern which caused eerie shadows all around them. Harry's identical twin brother Hartley also rose from his bed rubbing sleep from his eyes as he saw the injury to Harry's face and asked, "What happened big brother?"

Harriet turned and immediately her eyes caught sight of the wound on her little brother's cheek. Her eyes shone with immediate concern but Harry shrugged it off and just muttered out, "I'm fine Ettie." Harry then went over and sat down on his twin brother's bed as Hartley reached over and grabbed his brother into a hug his body shaking out of fear as the three children could hear the sounds of fighting and arguing.

"I made daddy mad again." Harry muttered not meeting the gaze of his older sister. "I should be the one getting hit not mommy."

Harriet shook her head letting her dark hair fall over her shoulders as she got up form her bed and walked over wrapping her arms around both her brothers, but Harry shrugged her off and moved away from Hartley.

"Brother? where you going?" Hartley asked concern on his face as he started to pull the covers back from his legs but Harry stopped him already knowing full well what his younger twin was thinking.

"Daddy will hurt you too Hart." He said softly. "I have to do this to protect mommy. You stay here."

And with those final words Harry ran back up to the top of the deck where he now found his mother bound with rope. Her hands were tied behind her back and the rope was tied firmly around her waist as she dangled high over the calm dark water. Blood now staining her tattered blue dress was slowly falling into the water like tiny black droplets. Harry could only watch in fear as the sight of his mother's gaze found his way toward him. Tears shimmered in her eyes and even though he was only six years old at the time Harry wasn't sure if the tears in his mother's eyes were out of sadness, pain or regret, but he had to try and somehow save her. As he looked around at his surroundings trying to look for a weapon that could somehow cut his mother free it was then that he realized not only was his mother bound with with rope but that he could see large blocks of grey cinders around her feet and immediately tears began pooling in his blue eyes as his body shook from fright.

"whatever happens to me my dear baby boy is not your fault." His mother said softly in a warm loving voice. Her eyes mirrored her young son and for one last time she wished she could hold onto her children just one last time but knew she had to accept her fate. "Be safe my dear sweet Harry." She said softly. "Know that I will always love you. Be kind to your sister, Keep your brother safe and know that I will always be with you."

Grip your hands I'm tired of what's your worth
Watch yourself beg hanging on to Earth
Love, war, pain, life
Everything's the same to me

So, come down to the Black Sea
Swimming with me, ah-ooh, ooh
Go down with me, fall with me
Let's make it worth it, ah-ooh

Come down to the Black Sea
Swimming with me, ah-ooh, ooh
Go down with me, fall with me
Let's make worth it, ah-ooh

Tears streaked down Harry's face as he could only watch now in utter horror taking notice of the terrified looks on the faces of the other pirates within his father's crew. The sight of his father now obstructed his view causing Harry to hide but still be in full view of what was about to happen to his mother. His body shook with agonizing terror as the salty wind tousled his dark hair and stung his eyes. He let out a strangled cry that was drown out by the outcry of his father's men urging the captain not to do what he was about to do but it was too late. Captain Hook was going to have his way no matter what as Harry then watched his father toss his head back his hair being blown by the salty wind as he called out into the dark night, "Come and find me Peter! I have a hostage you'll want to save come on Pan where are you?!"

There was nothing but silence minus the wind which now began to howl in protest as if the very ocean itself was even against what Hook was planning but as usual Hook was ignorant and only wanted to catch his hands on Peter Pan and find Neverland so that he could rule over it. It was a goal he had never forgotten about and still attempted to achieve even after so many years later.

"Come on Pan let's get the battle started already!" Hook called out into the dark night hearing nothing but silence back as he finally had had enough realizing Peter wasn't coming. "Fine then you leave me no choice Pan! This death will be on your head you ignorant little brat!" And with those final words despite protests from those of his crew, Mr. Smee and completely unaware little Harry was watching from his hiding spot, Hook lifted his hook high into the air and called out, "Last chance to save her Peter!"

He then put his hand to his ear hoping to hear the sound of Pan's voice but still nothing but the howling wind as Hook then slashed the rope holding onto his once beloved wife allowing her to fall into the dark water with a loud splash knowing the cinder block would pull her to the bottom of the sea where no one would be able to save her.

"Mommy!" Harry's strangled voice cried out as he watched the black sea swallow up his mother's body and immediately regret and sorrow filled up inside his body, but he quickly shook it off after a few moments as the chaos erupted all around him with angry cries coming off the other pirates at his father. That was the first time Harry realized in his young life he was done living in fear of his father.

Tonight would be the last time he ever shed a tear for someone he lost. It was on this dark night still looking out at the black sea that he would keep his mother's wishes alive. He would keep his twin brother from harm no matter the cost. His family came first always and he would do whatever it took to keep under his father's good graces even if it meant becoming just like him Harry would be up to the madness of a challenge. He would do anything and everything it took to avoid another tragedy like this one.
