"Papa papa! Mama is not feeling well!" Alas Ramus answered the door as Maou came in from his work shift.

Maou and Emi were living together for the sake of Alas Ramus, to give her a family sort of atmosphere, keeping her happy. That's their main cause. They've been doing so well and they are both natural at being parents.

At the moment, Alas Ramus was holding Maou's trousers and pulling him in to see what has happened to her Mama, to say Maou was worried about her well being was an understatement.

As they both made their way, he saw Emi laying down on the bed, face flushed and coughing a-bit. Seeing her like this Maou instantly made a decision to not go to the festival today.

They all meaning; Ashiya, Suzuno, Rika, Chiho and themselves along with Alas Ramus were going to go a festival today in town since it was Valentines day, they held a nice festival with bunch of games and food and stuff, they thought id be cool to check that out.

"Emi, hey are you ok?" Maou said on the edge of the bed as he put one of hand on top her forehead to check if she had a fever, and yes she was, she was burning up.

"Emi you have a fever" Well Maou was definitely worried now.

Emi tried to say something but it looked like her throat was hurting as well.

So first thing that he did was gave her a pen and a paper, he told her to write what she wanted to say on it, so she wrote, "Maou Why don't you take Alas Ramus to the festival? She was looking forward to it the most"

As Maou read that he shook his head, "there you go again, as if Alas Ramus would want that, idiot"

Alas ramus who was there the whole time looking at her mama worriedly, "no mama feel ok first"

"See? Now look why don't you rest and ill get make us some soup and dinner? Also I need to inform everyone that we are not going"

With that he picked up his cell phone and begin dialing Ashiya's phone number, after few rings he picked up;

"My liege, I am sorry for the delay to answer your call sire, are you alright?"

"Hey Ashiya, just wanted to inform we are not going to come today, Emi's not feeling well at all"

"Very well, sire-" as Ashiya's phone was on loud speaker Maou heard Chiho dramatically reacting to Maou's not coming to the festival, she wanted to spend some time with him but apparently that's not possible now.

"Ashiya, how many times have I told you not to put your phone on loud speaker!"

"Sorry my liege!"

"Its okay, well I gotta go now, I have to take care of this big sick baby over here" with that he snickered earning him tissue box thrown right at him by Emi of-course.

Chiho hearing all that felt so jealous, she wanted to be in Emi's situation but sigh, she thought, but she hopes Emi feels better.

"Bye now" he hangs up the phone and focuses on Emi who was more important right now.

He put a wet cloth over her forehead and tucked her in properly as he noticed she was shivering. Emi was liking this to be honest, she was surprised at first to see Maous caring side for her, it was really sweet.

Maou then quickly goes to the kitchen to make something for dinner for them, he settled on making some chicken corn soup, it'll be good for Emi, he thought. He knows how to make that as Suzuno taught him when she used to cook for them. Alas joined him as well as she wanted to help make mama feel better.

As soon everything was done he bought everything and set up the table so that they all can eat. He helped her sit up snd asked her if she needed help with her soup, she shook her head, she was blushing, how can he say things like that so normally?

But he noticed that she was indeed having a hard time as she seems to feel abit dizzy as well, Maou left his own food and took her spoon from her, Emi just looked at him as he was insane but as he tried to feed her, she blushed and looked every where but him and not eating.

"Look if you're not going to eat, you're not going to get better, we wont like that would we Alas?"

"Yes! Mama eat"

Emi sighed in defeat, and started to eat as Maou was feeding her, as soon as she had that soup, her eyes widened, it tasted so good! How was he able to make that? I thought he was going to burn the whole kitchen down.

Alas was watching them happily, "papa care for mama" she commented and indeed she was right.

"Ofcourse, papa loves mama" Maou told Alas smiling sweetly at his daughter while Emi was shocked, she was like what? She turned red.

Maou gave her the eyes to play along but she doesn't believe it, she thinks Maou meant that but she had no idea that he really meant that, he indeed loves her, but he keeps it to himself, he will tell her when the time is right.

As they finished their dinner, Emi was feeling much better, she could speak some as well but too much.

They heard fireworks outside, Maou opemed the curtains of the balcony to see it but he did not open the balcony as the cold would make Emi shiver. She noticed that and she thought that's very considerate of him.

Looking at the fireworks, both of them were kinda glad because this moment was better than any festival.

As fireworks were happening outside, they had a clear view, Alas spoke "so beautiful"

Maou looking at Emi blurted out, "Indeed, so beautiful.."

Emi looks at him and said, "What did you say?!"

"Ehh" Maou just smiled sheepishly.
