1Summary
Joey and Rachel have a baby instead of her and Ross and yes it was on and accident. They were drunk and slept together a little while before Chandler and Monica's wedding. Of course, they kept it a secret from everyone until Rachel finds out she is pregnant and has to tell Joey along with everyone else. He promises to help her and be there for her and raise their baby together. Ross is the last to know obviously, and he does not take it well at all. In fact, he stops speaking to Joey and Rachel all together until Monica talked to him. So he tries to be friends with him as best he can obviously the friendships it's not the same. Or ever will be maybe but the main important question is will Joey and Rachel just remain friends? Like they have always been or will they become something more.

A/N : Hi everyone this is my very time ever writing a book, so I apologize If it is not great. Although I really hope you enjoy reading as much as I did writing this. I actually started writing this year's ago and just remembered I did. So I decided to finish this and see where it goes. Also, please if you're a Ross and Rachel fan I remind you just not to read the story and don't be harsh. To me and all the other Joey and Rachel fans I know that are out there. Also, one last thing I have used a lot of the originally storyline but changed it up a bit to go with this story.
Chapter 1 The One Where Ava Cries
Everyone is currently waiting around in Joey and Rachel's apartment for them to finally bring Ava home from the hospital. Surprisingly everything had gone pretty well for everyone mostly Joey and Rachel as she gave birth to their beautiful daughter.
Monica:"Okay I don't want to be negative, so I'm just going to say that most of the signs you put up are good"she says to Phobea
Phobea:"Well they ran out of it's a girl at the store...but wait maybe it can be fixed" she says as she writes over the word boy changing it to girl and smiles proudly
Ross:"When are they supposed to be here?" He asks Phobea and Monica.
Phobea:"Joey just called a little while ago before you came over he said they should be here"
Monica:"And hey Ross honestly I don't think it's a good idea for you to be here when they do I don't want you and Joey arguing again"
Ross:"We were not arguing we just were talking"
Phobea:"Oh yes right because talking always end up with a person saying I want to hit you"
Ross:"Hey! He told me to hit him If I felt like I needed to"
Monica and Phobea look at him together
Ross:"Alright fine I guess I should leave I have a class anyway I will see you guys later"
Phobea and Monica look sadly at the door
Phoebe:"I hope Ross will be okay I know it's really hard for him"
Monica:Phobea it's hard for all of us but there are friends, and we love them we have to be there for them Ross is just going to have to try"
It was no surprised Ross was the one to be the most effect by this considering his whole history with Rachel and the fact that he will always love her no one was more worried about him more than Monica and to be honest if you had asked them Monica or Chandler or Phobea how they felt from the beginning about finding out about Rachel and Joey sleeping together they were not far from the way Ross is feeling of course they felt differently, but they all had to come to terms with just as well and had made up their minds a while ago that they were going to be there for there friends no matter what
Phobea:" Is he sleeping?" She asks asked Monica Looking over at Chandler.
Monica:" Yes" She says as she goes over to tap Chandler on his arm "Honey?"
Chandler:" Hmm mm..." He says waking up with a balloon in his mouth and taking it out and then another" I'm producing them?"
Monica: "Sweetie why don't you go and lay down your tried"
Chandler:" Sorry it's just I could not go to sleep last night I was up all night worried about this meeting to see who is going to be head of our department in a new location and besides I want to be here when Joey and Rachel get here"
There are footsteps in the hallway and the door to the apartment opens reveling Rachel carrying Ava in a Carrier
Rachel:" Hi!"
Monica:" Hey"
Phobea:" Hey"
Rachel" Aww you guys thanks for doing this" she looks around seeing the welcome home banner along with the rest of the apartment being decorated as well
Monica:"Phobea made the sign" she blurts out pointing at it
Phobea glares at Monica
Rachel:" Oh!"
Monica:" Here let me take her" she grabs The Carrier from Rachel
Chandler:" Where is Joey?"
Rachel:" He is downstairs getting the rest of the things out of the cab"
Phobea:" Is he still angry from earlier?"
Rachel" Yes" she says looking at the big stuffed bear in front of her with a tag hanging from it "Just what ever new mother needs a giant stuffed bear what are people thinking" reading it she notices it's from them "OMG! You guys I love it"!
Chandler:" Yes" he smiles forcefully
Joey enters the door with his hands completely full
Chandler:"Whoa man let me help he says grabbing some things out his hand
Joey"Thanks he says walking into the direction of Rachel's room getting smiles from Phoebe and Monica, and he smiles back
Phobea:"Well he seems okay to me" she says
Rachel:"Oh no believe me he is still very upset actually I had to talk to him I thought Ross was going to be here"
Monica:"He was we kind of told him it is best If he wasn't here she says walking over to where Rachel is standing along with Phobea admiring Ava sleeping peacefully
Rachel:"Oh well I just don't want to worry about that right now because am focused on the cutest little baby ever"
Monica:"I know isn't she"
Phobea:"Who knew you and Joey would make such a beautiful baby"
Rachel:"I know it's crazy"
Monica:"Don't you just want to take one if her little feet and put it in a little bucket"
Phobea"Monica! aww! maybe I will just bite her little ear off and use it as a sucking candy" she says.
Rachel:"Guys" she says looking at them weirdly
Monica:"Sorry"
Joey and Chandler come out of Rachel's room
Chandler:" Honey I'm going to go I have to be at the meeting I don't want to be late" he kisses her on the check
Monica:" Try not to fall asleep okay"
Chandler:" No promises"
Rachel:" Do we have everything we need?" She asks Joey.
Joey:" Um I think so"
Rachel" Okay do we have diapers? Because I didn't see any in the bags"
Joey:"Oh Damn it I forget them at the hospital don't worry thought I can go get some more right now" he walks to the door
Rachel:"Wait you think you could also get me something Joey"
Joey:"Yes of course anything
Rachel:"A blueberry muffin please" smiles at him
Joey:"Okay" he smiles at her deeply
Phobea:"Hmm mm" she clears her throat seeing them
Joey"Right I better go"
Rachel"Thanks"
Phobea and Monica are looking at her when she turns around smiling
Rachel:"What?"
Phobea:" We saw that"
Rachel:" Saw what?" She asked confused a little.
Monica:" The smiling"
Rachel:" What? Guys that wasn't even anything"?
Phobea:" Have you thought about you and Joey?"
Rachel:" Phobea we talked about this we don't want to be together just because we have a baby together and you know Ross I just don't want to talk about that right now okay"
Monica:" You're going to have to Rachel you and Joey I know Ross is my brother and I love him but this is the right choice for Ava"
Rachel:" Mon let's please not talk about this right now she says picking up Ava into her arms
Phobea:" Um I don't think you want to pick her up she says to her
Rachel:" Why not?" she asks as Ava starts to cry
Phobea:" That's why not"
Monica:" Your not supposed to wake a sleeping baby"
Rachel" What that is crazy I can do whatever I want okay I made her" she says as Ava Cries louder "Okay mommie is so sorry okay go back to sleep okay" she rocks her in her arms
Phobea:" You know I was going to tell you say, but she is kind of already doing it for me"
Chandler's Job Meeting
Mrs Mayfield:" Okay so everyone we have everything all ready to go in our department in Tusula as you know we are just looking for someone that can represent us well"
Chandler is falling asleep and his head is on some guy's shoulder next to him which makes the guy look at him weirdly and jerk his arm to wake him up
Chandler:Um" he says waking up looking at the man "Sorry um nice suit you got their very soft fabric"
Coffee house
Joey is ordered a muffin while he is carrying a bag of diapers in his hand
Joey:" Gunther can I have a blueberry muffin to go"
Gunther:" Blueberry for Rachel right
Joey:" Yes" he says smiling
Gunther:" Am I guessing she had the baby
Joey:" Yes she did I still can't believe it you know she was just my hot friend Rachel now we have a baby together"
Gunther:" Life works out in mysterious ways" he says "I don't see why it had to work out for you" he mumbled under is breath angrily
Joey:looks around Central perk, and he sees Ross sitting by the window drinking coffee, and he then quickly turns around as Gunther bring him a muffin and coffee
Joey:" Um Gunther I didn't you know what never mind"
Gunther:" Yes whatever" he says mumbling to himself
Joey heading into the direction to walk out the door but Ross stops him
Ross:" Hey Joe what's up? Weird seeing you hear.
Joey" Yes Hey Ross" he says forcefully as he then turns to leave again
Ross:" Joey Wait!"
Joey:" Look Ross I know you upset I get it okay I really do and I have said Am sorry a million times before but I can't do anything else okay"
Ross:" No look Joey Am sorry for the way I acted earlier
Joey:" Okay you know if you want to still hit me I deserve it okay so just hit me feel free to right now I just want us to be friends again
Ross:" Am not going to hit you no matter how much it may have crossed my mind we still are friends"
Joey:" Just hit me alright Ross
Ross:" No Am not going to hit you"
Joey:" Hit me Ross!"
Ross throws a punch and Joey ducks down
Joey:" Hey!"
Ross:" You just told me to hit you"
Joey:" Yes well I didn't think you were actually going do it" he says angry
Ross:" Okay listen Am sorry just calm down"
Joey: swing's a punch at Ross and misses him hitting the wooden pole behind him "Damn it!"
Ross:" Are you okay man?"
Joey:" Do I look okay Ross?"
Ross:" No your right okay how about I take you to the hospital it maybe is possibly broken or sprung he says grabbing his coat and opening the door for Joey and hits his hand
Joey :Glares at him
Ross:" Sorry"
Joey and Rachel's apartment
Ava is still Crying loudly
Rachel:" Okay shhhhh Ava Sweetie she says looking over to Monica "What is there else to do?" she asks her
Monica:" Okay feed her" she says going thought a baby book in her hand
Rachel:" Just Did that"
Monica:" Okay change her diaper"
Rachel:" I just did that to" she says hostilely
Monica:" Okay so do it again!"
Phobea:" Okay guys don't turn on each other that is just what she wants"
Rachel:" OMG I don't know what else to do I can't even comfort my own daughter guys Am a terrible mother" she says sadly
Monica:" No you not you are just new to this remember your first day working at the coffee house you got thought it
Rachel:" Yes I don't think dressing provocative is going to help me here"
Chandler's Job
Mrs Mayfield:So who can go to Tusula to represent us? " She asks.
Chandler:Wakes up suddenly and says "Yes!"
Mrs Mayfield:" Well Okay Chandler that was easy thank you for deciding so quickly to move to Tusula"
Chandler:" Tulsa?" His eyes widen.
Joey and Rachel Apartment
Monica:" OMG! Am losing my mind" she says with her head in her hands.
Phobea:" I lost mind two hours ago"
Rachel:" Why won't it stop crying and go to sleep" she says rocking Ava in her arms passing the floor
Monica:" Not it Rach she"
Rachel" Yes we'll Am not so sure" she stops moving for a second "Can you hold her I really need to go use the bathroom" she says handing her to Monica
Phobea:" I have to go scream into a pillow" she says getting up to walk into Rachel's room
Monica:" Aww you don't want to go to sleep Ava please try for us or maybe Aunt Monica" she says talking to her as it makes her fall to sleep
Phobea:" Have I gone death?"
Monica:" No she is asleep I got here to go to sleep that's right Monica Geller super Aunt"
Phobea:" I can hear the voices in my head again" Monica Looks at her
Phobea:" Am kidding" she says but smiles to herself
Rachel comes out of the bathroom
Monica:" Rach I got her to go to sleep"
Phoebe" Well it looks like you don't need me any more" she says grabbing her bag and walking to the door "I will see you later Monica Rachel give it a couple of days"
Rachel:" Okay well Am I going to go lay down"
Monica:" Wait what?"
Rachel:" The book says I should be sleeping when she is sleeping so bye" she smiles waving at her and Ava
Hospital
Joey and Ross in the waiting room sitting down Ross is filling out Joey's Forms
Joey:" Damn it this hurts bad" he says holding his hand
Ross" Am sorry again he says
Joey:" Look Ross I know this is hard for you, it is hard for me and Rachel to and everyone but were dealing with it so please could you just at least try"
Ross:" Yes I can do that I promise" he says holding out his hand to Joey
Joey:" Alright thank you" he says shaking his hand
Ross:" Am all done filling out your forms Am I going to go turn them in he says taking it over to the front desk
Then he comes back to sit back down
Ross:" Wow you know I never would have thought I could almost break your hand" he smiles
Joey:" Me either he smiles and laughs
Joey and Rachel's Apartment
Monica is still holding a sleeping Ava
Chandler:" Hey!"
Monica:" Be quiet I just got Ava to fall asleep she has been crying all day" she says "How did your meeting go?"
Chandler:" Well where moving to Tusula" he says whispering getting up to leave
Monica:" What! "
Chandler: "Shh" he says "How about we just talk about this later bye"
Monica" Chandler" she says looking down at Ava "I hope you don't grow up and get married and then have to move"
Later own Rachel and Joey's Apartment
Joey comes home to see Each sitting on the couch
Joey:" Hey" he says to her putting down the bag on the counter and walking over to sit next to her
Rachel:" What happened ?" She asks him seeing his hand wrapped up and reaches over to touch his hand softly.
Joey:" Ross is what happened" he says
Rachel:" Joey please tell me you did not punch him okay I thought we talked about this whole thing already"
Joey:" No I didn't punch him he punched me well-tried to, and he missed and I got mad and tried to punch him but I missed when he ducked and hit my hand on a pole it really hurt I tell you that
Rachel:" Joe you guys have to get along okay for me please do it for me okay we need to try to be friends again"
Joey:" Okay you right I know I promise Rach" he says smiling at her
Rachel:" Thank you she smiles touching his knee Then Ava starts to Cry, and she gets up
Joey:" Let me get her you need some rest" he says
Rachel:Smiles at him as she gets up and goes into her room as she rests her head back on the couch
Joey:" Hey it's alright Am right here I got you sweetie" he says picks her up speaking to her softly as he rocks her in his arms as she cries "Hey you have to stop crying for Dad" he kisses her softly on her check as she stops crying closing her eyes then he puts her back into her crib "I love you Goodnight" he finally says looking at her just watching her sleep then grabbing the baby monitor and leaving out the room
When he goes back into the living room he sees Rachel sound asleep on the couch as he walks over to her and grabs the blanket that is on the back of couch and covers her up with it then he goes into his bedroom leaving the door open
