202Harry and Merope to the Rescue - Chapter 39

Year 2141:
Hadrian and Merope were reminiscing about their time spent in this timeline as they were preparing themselves to move on to the next adventure.
Talon had accomplished more than they could ever had imagined and hoped for him when they had first arrived in this timeline and rescued him. Even with the Cloak that Hadrian had given him that had belonged to the James Potter of this world, he didn't get into much trouble in school and was actually responsible with his use of the Cloak.
Without the weight of the world on his shoulders and with a loving family to raise him, he became a world renowned potions master and spell crafter. His ability with mixing potions with spells was what led him to creating a potion that converted the werewolf gene to an animagus form and the werewolves were no longer bound by the full moon and their bites were no longer contagious.
In addition to the cure for the werewolves, Talon had accomplished his other goal and was able to give his best friend his parents back, which Neville was eternally grateful for.
In wishing for the kind of love that his parents had, Talon didn't date while attending Hogwarts, to the disappointment of many witches. He met his wife during a trip to the United States, where he had been attending a potions conference. Her name was Alice and they had just clicked. They dated for about a year before Talon proposed to her and were married the following year; Talon was 28 and Alice was 25. They had four children; two boys and two girls.
Bill Black became a cursebreaker for Gringotts and met and married Fleur Delacour after she began interning for Gringotts after she graduated from Beauxbatons. They had three children; two girls and a boy.
Charlie Black still became a dragon tamer and remained single until he was nearly 50, at which point he finally met the girl he was willing to leave the dragons for, her name was Kaliyah. They had one son.
Percy Black worked for the Ministry where he met his wife, Audrey, before he eventually became the new History of Magic professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They had two children; a boy and a girl.
George and Fred Black, with the help and tutelage of Moony and Padfoot, opened the Marauder's Joke and Prank Shop. They met and married Australian twins named Lucy and Darby. They each had a set of twins, a boy and a girl.
Ron Black met Hermione Granger at Hogwarts and after finally admitting their feelings for each other in their sixth year, they were inseparable and married shortly after graduation. Ron went into auror training, while Hermione was recruited to the Department of Mysteries and became an Unspeakable. They had two children; a boy and a girl.
Ginny Black married Talon's best friend Neville Longbottom. Ginny briefly played professional quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies before settling down to be a stay-at-home mom and a part-time sports writer. They had five children before deciding that was enough; there were four boys and one girl.
Draco Malfoy married Luna Lovegood right out of Hogwarts. They had two children; two boys. Draco surprisingly became the head of the Muggle Relations Department and Luna had taken over as editor for the Quibbler.
Susan Bones never married, but underwent the muggle procedure of in vitro fertilization, otherwise known as IVF, in order to continue her family line. She ended up having triplet boys.
Sirius Black met a nice muggleborn that his mother absolutely adored. Her name was Brianna and she was about ten years younger than Sirius. They had three boys, all named after stars in the tradition of the Blacks.
Remus realized Nymphadora Tonks was his mate after she reached her magical majority at 17 years old, but he fought his instincts until after she was 20 years old. They had two children, both took after their mother as a metamorphmagus, a boy and a girl.
Mad-Eye and Walburga remained very good friends for many years, but finally settled down and married after Mad-Eye retired and Walburga's adopted children all moved out and married.
There was still some prejudice in some parts of the wizarding world, but there was much, much less of it. Harry and Merope expected there to be practically no blood prejudices left by the time the great-great-grandchildren had children of their own.
"Well," said Merope, "I'm all packed up. We've said our goodbyes to Talon, and he'll in turn inform the rest that we passed away during our travels, where we were cremated and released into the winds."
Hadrian said, "I'm ready, too" Looking around he sighed, "I'm going to miss everyone, but it's time to move on, we've already "lived" longer than the others that were "our" age. While it's not like there's anything they could do, I'd rather no one got too suspicious of us and start thinking we've made our own philosopher's stone or something."
"Do you think we'll meet the Flamels one of these days?" asked Merope.
Hadrian said, "Well, to be honest, I've never really thought about trying to look them up. Nicholas Flamel mentored Dumbledore, remember? So I'm not so sure if they are anyone I want anything to do with."
"Darling, that doesn't make them bad people, they may have just misjudged Dumbledore's intentions," said Merope.
"You may be right, dear, but that doesn't negate the fact that they've lived so long and yet hid themselves away from the world, rather than trying to be an active participant in it," responded Hadrian.
Merope giggled and looped her arm in his and said, "We'll see when we reach our 800s and see if we don't also wish to shut ourselves off from the world."
Hadrian shook his head and said, "I stopped counting how old I actually am, since there seems to be little point in it with us jumping to and across different timelines. Unless I have my aging charm activated, I'm always going to appear to be 23. Same for you, except you will always appear to be around 19 years old."
Merope tilted her head in thought and said, "I wonder why that is? I mean, you were 18 years old when you officially took on the power of the Hallows, and I was about that same age when they included me, too." Her eyebrows scrunched down as she thought about it.
Hadrian shrugged his shoulders and said, "After all this time, I've just come to the conclusion that sometimes magic isn't logical, even when we are, and that's okay." Making sure his backpack was on his back and that Merope had hers, he asked, "What do you think about making ourselves appear younger and go to muggle high school?"
"What?" asked Merope in shock.
Hadrian shrugged again and said, "Well, I know I haven't felt the pull telling me that we're needed somewhere, and I'm sure you haven't felt the pull or you would have said something, so I'm taking it to mean that we can choose where to go. Maybe we should take a break from the magical world and try out the muggle one."
Merope furrowed her brows in thought and asked, "How do you suppose we do that?"
Hadrian said, "Just hang on tight and count to three."
One. Two. Three.
And with a silent pop, they were gone.
Author's note: So I'm considering doing a crossover with Twilight, mostly because that's the only other fantasy series that I have read nearly as much as Harry Potter and the characters and plot is fresher in my mind, since I've read a few HP/Twilight crossovers in the last few days. I've also read the Percy Jackson series, but I'd need to read the whole series again before I could make an attempt to do a crossover with it. Otherwise, I've been thoroughly obsessed with Harry Potter fanfiction for the last several years and have not really read all that many non-Harry Potter books.
Anyways, I hope y'all stick with me whether I make the sequel a Twilight crossover or whether I decide to do an AU of the two attending Hogwarts during a different timeline. I'll make a new note below after I have started posting the sequel.
A/N TWO: Well, I've uploaded the start of two new sequels, since I had the plot bunnies in my head this afternoon. I can't say how often I'll update them, but you're welcome to follow them for the remaining updates on this series. When I've made it to starting and uploading the Twilight crossover, I'll add one more A/N here.
