2Hi again, clearly I have an overactive imagination and wayyyy to much free time. oneshot inspired by I'm Still Here by Siaso in this AU Natsu found Lucy in Hargeon when she was 10 and now shes 11. Natsu, Gray, Gajeel and Levy are 18 when the time skip occurs, Erza, Mira and Cana are all like 20.
The S class challenge created a hum in the guild, Lucy's legs swung back and forth while she sipped her milkshake. Macao was playing cards so she was watching Romeo, he was a sweet kid and she enjoyed his company, but she couldnt help but long for someone her own age.
Lucy had run away from home, only to be found by Natsu in Hargeon. Thinking about her dragon in shining Scarf made her swoon. Lucy had told Mira she was going to marry Natsu when she got older much to the amusement of her favorite white haired model.
Lucy pouted as she thought about everyone leaving her to compete, she could have been someones partner! she was a strong mage having trained with Natsu and happy since joining the guild. Lucy wanted to be as strong as the rest of her team.
Looking out the window Lucy wondered when everyone would be home. Lucy quickly went behind the bar to clean out her cup. Lucy found a few recipes and decide while Mora was gone she would help feed her Nakama!
Rolling up her black long sleeved short with gold trimmings she got to work.

Lucy scowled as she read the mail, her father had sent her another letter. closing her mailbox she headed back to her room, After natsu brought her to Fairy tail he insisted she live with him and happy but Erza quickly shot that down proclaiming Lucy was her little sister to protect and she therefore belonged at fairy hills with the girls.
Lucy's apartment was very large, painted with bright white walls and small gold constellations speckled along aswell, her kitchen was small, just a fridge and an oven, Lucy made sure to use the money she got from the bar to buy ingredients to practice the recipes she took home. She managed to make the spicy chicken curry for dinner. Her bedroom was dark blue with silver constellations, the magic paint made them glow softly as she crawled into her large bed. She missed everyone dearly and she had the worst feeling of dread. pushing aside her panic she called out virgo and asked her funny spirit to tell her a bedtime story.
The next morning was surprisingly mundane, she cooked for the guild, only managing to start a fire only 5 times and the blender only exploded onto her once. Macao nodded when she handed him his scrambled eggs and Laki even made her a new wooden chopping board!

A messenger with a grim look on his face arrived while Lucy was making dinner for the guild, he looked at the guild motioning for Macao to come outside. Macao shared a knowing look with his tablemated before following the man outside.
Macao's face was solemn as he stalked into the looked heavier, Lucy noted looking at him, Like the world was suddenly dropped onto his shoulders. Lucy knew that look on his eyes, she remembered it vividly in her father's when he had to tell her that her mom was gone. Lucy Sunk into the seat behind the bar, her brain going through all of the possible explanations and all of her fears.
" Tenrou is gone, no survivors where found"
Her heart stopped.
Lucy never was a fan of her birthday, not until her team surprised her with a party.
The guild was quiet today, she remembers when it wasnt. She missed the noise.
she looked over to their best members, complaining about the training schedule Lucy made them follow with an iorn fist. she had started it when she realized the guild was losing money. Macao was the guild master and for the most part he had gotten better at correctly filling out the paper work, Romeo and Lucy had created a team once the squirt was old enough to do minor jobs. Lucy often juggled smaller missions and working at the bar for extra cash for rent.
Lucy had moved out of Fairyhills after a year of everyone being gone. She didnt think it was right after the girls had gone missing. She had found a cute house in the forest not too far from the guild.
The house was a large Farmhouse, she painted it a Robin's egg blue. Her room was her favorite by far, having painted the solar system on the ceiling, and having a beautiful bathtub in her master bath.
Her desk was set up against the wall, A book with royal blue with gold details sat peacefully, the authors name peacefully looped in gold calligraphy. I'm Still Here was her first published novel, a photo of herself at 15 with Macao and Romeo smiling while holding an award was right next to it.
Macao had become a second father to her in the last few years. He rallied for her to publish her book, He had read and cried when he read her story of hope and fighting against the memories that haunted her actions and daily life. She had felt a freedom seeing the book in stores, her story was shared.
She had sent a copy to her father, He had written back asking her to sign it for him. They met once a week for Lunch or Dinner. She was proud to call this new man her father. He had met Romeo and Macao and the two had become rather fast friends after letting by gones be by gones.
Her fathers sat side by side presenting her a gaint cake with a large 18 in gold frosting. Romeo was holding one of what looked like many gifts on his lap beaming. The guild was filled with her Nakama who wanted to wish her a happy birthday, including her God daughter Asuka.
Lucy was truly happy.
The Grand Magic Games were slowly approaching and Lucy was panicking once again. They had string guild members dont get her wrong, but none of them were ready to take on the games. Lucy wrubed her head in circles urging the incoming headache to go away.
Asuka was laying down on the same couch as Lucy, her tiny head layed on her lap while she slept. Lucy smiled affectionately at the tiny girl. Bisca and Alzack were investigating Tenrou once again. Lucy wondered if they would find anything new.
Looking back she had no idea.
Pink hair exploded into the guild, searching for the tiny blonde head he had taken in, the guild was bigger he noted briefly in his panic.
The dark wood looked well kept and the ceiling had tiny Fairys dancing among the stars. A iron plaque on the wall showed their names, the names of the people they thought they had lost.
Natsu would melt that to nothing later, for right now he was looking for the tiny blonde fairy. After entering the main eating area he noticed the bright blonde hair sitting on a bench, he ran over knocking her off the couch, his hands wrapped around her waist, his face pressed into soft- Wait...
looking up he met the startled doe eyes he had first seen scared and alone in Hargeon. His Lucy. But his Lucy was tiny, she didnt even know what feminine problems were let alone have them herself.
He sat down shell shocked, How long had they been under, how long had the world continued without them. The brown eyes locked with his own filled with tears before he knew it he felt a soft body collide with his.

Natsu found getting used to Lucy being his age was rather difficult. She no longer needed him and happy to sleep, even if he had to sneak into fairyhills, he was sure Mira knew.
She was taller, probably 5'2. Her figure had filled out, which he found both weird and yet also attractive?
He also noticed she still wore his style clothing, which brought joy and another feeling to his chest. Her hair reached her knees when let out of the pony she always kept it in, happy had smiled when he saw it was the fish character hairpin he had given her for her 11th birthday. The pink fairy tail symbol stood out proudly on her shoulder, Macao had told him in confidence that she had insisted on changing when she was 13 and she would not take no for an answer.

Years had passed and everything had gone back to normal, Lucy had even wrote another book, Moving Towards The Sun had won her another award.
The novel was tucked next to her first book, The Red and Silver color contrasting with the first book. On the wall hung the first photo of her and Macao and Romeo. The new photo next to it held Her entire team smiling proudly at the camera as she held up the award.
The light caught and sparkled on her finger, a small diamond was wrapped protectively in silver tree branches, She smiled when she looked at it.
a warm feeling filled her when she thought about today, Today she was a normal 22 year old bride, getting ready to meet her soon to be husband. She looked at herself in her mirror, rolling her eyes at the black and gold vest that was left on the floor from the day before no doubt. She looked beautiful in her A line gown made of silk, small Pearl's were embroidered in the shape of constellations. Her hair was curled, flowing to her knees, a flower crown of lavender and Lily of the valley sat atop her head. Her father was waiting by the door for her.
