Anyways, to the fic

00000

The now named "Dekusquad" was currently eating their second lunch. Izuku and Shoko ate a bit more than everyone else since they needed more energy. Recovery Girl refused to let her gummies go to waste so instead they had to eat a good meal.

They were both excited for their next match, though of course Shoko didn't show it, but they all knew it. The duo kept exchanging glances at each other. To either analyze what they might do or check up on one another, the rest of the group had no idea.

"So, are ya two really ready? I mean, I can't believe that ya guys have to fight each other, it seems like the thing is rigged to me" Ochako said as she eyed the two of her friends. They didn't respond, leaving an awkward silence in the air.

Iida decided to break it with a question of his own, "Well I wouldn't say such a thing, it's just up to chance, remember Uraraka?"

"Well yeah, I remember, but the fact that both Izuku and Shoko are going up against each other, and Eiko and Bakugo are too, it's unfair, ya know?" She asked. In her eyes, it seemed like the entire thing was set up.

Iida perked up at her sentence, not the unfair part but something else actually, "Uraraka, since when are you and Eiko on a first name basis, it's rather intriguing." He said as he continued to eat.

"Ooh Ochako, please, allow me to answer this one." Momo said quietly despite how much she wanted to answer it she was still very quiet. It looked cute, she even had stars in her eyes.

"Take a shot Yao-Momo!" Ochako cheered, shooting finger guns towards her.

Momo cleared her throat, "Well you see Iida, all of the girls have been having girl nights ever since the USJ and even before that. So we've grown quite fond of one another. And so, after Ashido kept telling everyone to call her Mina and Tsuyu doing the same, all of us eventually got on a first name basis." She explained in a matter of fact voice, pointing one finger into the air.

"Oh, well I'm glad that you along with the rest of the girls have gotten a liking to one another. I really have you all here, the rest of the boys are either quiet or too loud and crazy for my liking, besides you Midoriya.." Iida said with a small smile.

Izuku perked up a bit, not because of the compliment that Iida had sent his way but because of something else. It was an action that didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the group, "Something wrong, Green Bean?" Jiro asked.

Izuku's mind went back to the way that he treated Shinso, he felt terrible about it. And thinking back about it now, he wishes he could take it all back. And Iida wanting a friend fit right in!

'He's gonna do something stupid isn't he?'

'Now now Kokoro, he wouldn't be Izuku if he didn't'

Izuku got up, "I've got a solution Iida! Come with me!" Izuku went over to Iida and picked him up and threw him over his head to carry him and search for someone, leaving all of the girls at the table.

Some giggled, like Ochako, and Jiro more so chuckled. Momo shook her head and, silently, wished that Izuku would do that to her and cart her off to a wedding. Shoko smiled a bit and continued to slurp her soba.

"Well that was something." Jiro said when she stopped chuckling, she turned towards the girls, "So, when you guys gonna tell him, cause if you don't today Mina will tell him for you." She said as she poked her food.

"N-No, today's been amazing!" Ochako said with a yell, "I got a hug today, and it was absolutely incredible! And then I got another hug after my match and it was even better!" She seemed so happy about it, maybe Izuku trained to give really good hugs or something, they wouldn't put it past him.

She looked over to Shoko and Momo, "Did you guys do have anything special happen today?" She asked with a beaming smile that almost rivaled Izuku's

Shoko decided to answer first, bluntly as ever, "He consoled me after he had a conversation with my father, the rest is a personal matter and I'd rather not talk about it." It didn't hold the coldness that she had been associated with, but instead something more emotional.

They all chose to ignore it for now, either the girls would have a talk about it or Izuku would get her to open up about it. "How about you Yao-Momo?" Shoko asked, trying to divert the attention.

Said girl perked up, "Ah, ummm." She was blushing. Something definitely happened. Jiro and Ochako gained knowing smirks while Shoko continued eating.

"What, you guys kiss or something?" Jiro asked smugly, no one ever said Mina never taught anyone anything, along with dancing she was good at teasing. And Jiro decided to take some lessons.

Momo's blush enveloped her entire face, She waved her hands in front of her face, "No no no no no, of course not. We're not there yet…"

"Yet."

Steam, literal steam was coming out of the girl's ears. "It was just like Shoko he consoled me after my match with her, we cuddled a little, that's all…." She was sweating, it was embarrassing admitting to what they did, her parents would most likely be mad if they had heard, or at least her dad would her mom would most likely say something along the lines of wanting to meet the boy her little girl was going to marry.

Momo really wasn't a people person before she met Izuku. Most people just asked her for help with homework and that was it. There would be the occasional love confession, from boys that she didn't even know. So yeah, she wasn't exactly social.

Her dad didn't help much in that department, whenever she found a boy that she could be friends with he'd scare them off. And her mother always killed her with embarrassment.

Jiro decided to intervene once again, "How long did you cuddle for?" She asked with a smirk.

"Not long enough….." Momo mumbled under her breath.

"Huh, would you mind saying that again?" Jiro asked, her smirk growing, borderline smug.

"N-Nothing, nothing at all!"

"Yeah huh, whatever you say Yao-Momo."

-Izuku and Iida-

Izuku kept on carrying Iida through the lunch area, getting confused stares from many of the students in the area. Izuku would go from table to table looking for someone. They decided to ignore it, while others mumbled about how the hero course was weird.

"Midoriya, what are you doing!" Iida yelled, chopping his arm even though he was hoisted on his friend's shoulder.

"Looking for someone, don't worry about it!" Izuku answered as he continued carrying Iida throughout the area.

Izuku eventually ran into him, the boy was at a table surrounded by many of the General Ed students, who were congratulating him on getting so far in the Sports Festival. The boy himself looked sheepish and embarrassed. But he had a smile on his face.

"M-Midoriya slow down!"

"Can't, too excited Iida!"

"This isn't like you."

Izuku froze in place, still holding up Iida, "Y-Yeah, I know…" he seemed to have a sad tone, "I-It's just, I think that he could use a friend, and you said you wanted to hang out with another guy…" Izuku was just like everyone else, he was angry at Shinso and thought of him as a villain when he was just using his quirk like everyone else.

He really was terrible

But he would fix it!

"So, ummm." Izuku walked over to the table and got a lot of confused stares before he placed down Iida. "H-Hey Shinso." Izuku managed to get out.

The lilac haired boy looked at him in confusion. Probably because he just had another hero course student on his shoulder and Izuku was acting like it was a common occurrence.

'Oh great, he probably thinks I'm weird or something, I should probably just leave….'

'You can do this Midoriya just take deep breaths, he's just a normal person, like you.'

'Y-Yeah, o-ok, thanks Tamada.' Izuku gained some composure before he spoke again, "Ummm, so Iida here said he wanted more guys to hang out with and since he is rather by the book with class and working out I thought you guys could be good friends… you could also learn some stuff about the hero course" Izuku said as he gestured to Iida, the boy in question bowed at the General Ed students.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm sorry we couldn't have met earlier, the past few weeks have been rather busy but I hope that we could get along." Iida said speaking to the students as a whole, he soon rose back up and flashed a smile. "And Shinso." The purple haired boy froze, this guy was super serious, or at least those were the rumors about this particular student, he'd most likely get mad at Shinso for using his quirk in the ways he did. "I must say the way you applied your quirk was marvelous, I remember you having people carry you in the obstacle course, that was genius, you had zero loss in stamina, and with the cavalry battle you chose a very good team I must say. It's a shame that you had to go up against Midoriya, I believe that had it been anyone else you would have won."

Shinso looked at the other student in wonder before clearing his throat and standing up, "I-I uh… t-thanks, my name's Hitoshi Shinso.. b-but you already knew that…." He rubbed the back of his neck

Iida put a hand up, "It's alright, giving introductions always gives off a good impression."

Shinso smiled a bit before deciding to ask a question, "H-Hey, what'd you mean by anyone else you would have won?"

"Ah well you see." Iida pushed his glasses up. Izuku was watching the interaction with fondness, he was happy that the two could get along, "Midoriya has a reputation for breaking expectations, when it comes to the hero course, arguably he is one of the top hero course first year students if not the top, which is why I see him as a rival. And you stood toe to toe with him in battle, and you would have won if not for whatever Midoriya did at the end, I know I'd never be able to pull such a feat."

Shinso rubbed the back of his head. "T-Thanks."

"No need, I am just stating the obvious."

Yeah, Izuku was happy about this.

"Wanna sit with us?" Shinso asked as he gestured towards the table, some of the girl's perked up, Iida was a fine looking male, with his glasses and amazing jawline.

"I would love to." Iida replied, "What about you Midoriya?"

Izuku froze being put on the spot, 'Remember just breathe.' "I'd love to, but I actually wanted to talk with Kacchan about something, sorry."

"Oh, well that's fine, don't let us hold you up." Izuku soon left and Shinso decided to ask a question.

"Who's Kacchan?"

"The loud one."

Oh.

"Gotcha."

Izuku made his way over to Bakugo, he had been meaning to ask his friend about what he thought about the matchmaking they did for the semi finals. He knew that Bakugo would most likely shout at least a couple profanities about it.

He found the table, along with Bakugo there was Eiko, Mina, Kaminari and Sero. Or as they went by the "Bakusquad" which Izuku thought was a pretty cool name.

Izuku put up his hand and waved towards his ash blonde friend, the entire table seemed downtrout, probably because Eiko and Bakugo had to fight. "Hey Kacchan." Izuku's voice sounded sad, "Can we talk a bit?"

Before anyone could respond Bakugo stood up, he walked past Izuku, "Yeah, I- need to clear my head."

Izuku ran to catch up and waved towards the others at the table.

"Soooo.." Mina said, trying to clear the air. "You haven't told him." She said dryly to Eiko.

Said girl had her face match her dyed hair, "HEY!" I-It's not easy...ya know…" EIko dragged on. "It's just- I don't know, I get really nervous whenever I'm about to tell him. And I chicken out."

Mina hummed as she gave her friend a pat on the back "It's ok Kiri, love ain't easy. Right guys?"

Kaminari was going to answer but was cut off by Sero. "Yeah! And even though explosion boy is rough around the edges we can tell he has a soft spot for you." Sero smiled.

"Thanks guys." Eiko smiled her toothy grin.

-Katsuki and Izuku-

The two were walking through the halls of the stadium. An tense silence around them. The only noise accompanying them was their footsteps, Izuku took a deep breath.

'Don't let him explode you, alright?'

'Yeah yeah, I got it Kokoro.' Izuku responded, He turned towards his friend. "So Kacchan, are you excited for the next match?!" He said, trying to be enthusiastic about it.

Bakugo scoffed however and didn't respond.

Izuku froze, 'Oh shit, he's really mad.' He gulped and decided to try a different approach. "Are you mad about the pairin-"

"OF COURSE I AM, I'M FUCKING PISSED DEKU!" Bakugo screamed, but not at him, instead the floor. Izuku stood there dumbly, Kacchan was mad, but he was always mad, right? Well yes, but this mad felt different, very different. It wasn't his usual, 'haha you're a loser' mad that he treated everyone with, but an emotional one.

"I-I'm guessing since you have to go up against Kirishima, huh?" Izuku asked as he rubbed the back of his head, Bakugo didn't respond though, he just looked away. "W-Well… I'm not excited about it either, having to go up against Shoko and all. BUT!" Izuku took a deep breath, "I'm sure Kirishima would think going down to THE Katsuki Bakugo is a pretty manly way to finish a tournament."

Bakugo looked at Izuku and smiled a bit, the greanette could've sworn he saw tears bubble in his eyes, "I feel like that's exactly what she would fucking say." he said. "BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THIS EMOTIONAL SHIT, YOU BETTER NOT LOSE TO ICYHOT HEAR ME SHITTY DEKU, I DON'T WANNA COMPETE WITH ONE OF YOUR CHICKS FOR FIRST PLACE!"

Izuku steamed, "W-What! O-One of m-my c-c-chicks, what are y-you talking about!"

Bakugo stopped, and actually started laughing, holding his gut. "Aw man, you're an idiot. No fucking clue what they see in you."

"Huh?"

"Nevermind, loser." Bakugo said as he walked away.

"H-Hey! Where are you going, I was done talking yet!"

Bakugo didn't turn towards Izuku, instead keeping his back towards his rival, "I'm gonna prepare, I need to fight Eiko with my strongest anyways, she deserves that much after all."

Notes

Ok, super sorry, but I was just dying of writer's block. That's why I did so much on my villain deku fic. But anyways I'm back. And I wanted to ask if anyone would want me to post this on Archive, just a thought. If I did I would probably go through the old chapters and rewrite them and then transfer those chapters over to here.

But anyways, sorry for the short chapter, but I promise that I will pick it up! I've had constant ideas floating around but I've had trouble executing them, let's see if I can do it!

Oh and Nabe-Chan if you are still reading this, I'm doing something with Endeavor, don't worry.
