Ron strode back up to the castle and wandered about aimlessly until he reached the library. Though most people in the castle actually thought him quite dumb, he wasn't really. Honestly, he was just in the shadow of Harry and Hermione most of the time. While Ron was debating this, he heard a groan of annoyance coming from the shelves. Interest piqued, he walked on over to the shelves. There was a girl with silvery blonde hair trying to reach a book.

"Stupid nargles!" she huffed in annoyance.

Ron suppressed a grin. This, he thought, was going to be interesting.

"Erm, do you need help?" he asked tentatively.

The girl turned her eyes on him serenely. Ron blushed. She was quite pretty, actually. The girl had large silver eyes, and Ron couldn't help but think that they were rather enchanting.

She smiled softly. "Yes, please." she said. "It's the one on the top left, with the orange cover."

Ron reached up and grabbed it. "The Chudley Cannon's Acquaintance With Magical Creatures." he read. "You like the Chudley Cannons?" he asked hopefully.

The girl grinned widely. "Yes, but it's a secret. You see," she leaned in conspiratorially, "everyone thinks I'm rather loony." She winked. "Must keep up appearances."

Ron frowned. "That's not very nice."

"No," she shook her head, "it isn't, but then again, what is fully kind?"

Ron glanced down at her tie. Aha, he thought, she was a Ravenclaw. That explained a lot.

Then he glanced down further. He noted, with a deeper frown, that she wasn't wearing shoes. Merlin, it was nearly winter! She couldn't be doing this by choice!

"Why aren't you wearing shoes?" he asked abruptly.

Her smile tugged downwards until she suddenly looked very worried and shy. Ron felt guilty, he hadn't wanted to make her sad at all.

"The other Ravenclaws steal my things." She whispered.

Ron looked murderous. That wasn't fair at all! This girl had done nothing to deserve such treatment.

"Well then, we are going to go get your things." Ron said confidently.

She looked at him in surprise, and then raised an eyebrow and put her hands on her hips. "Ron Weasley, you don't even know my name yet and you're off to go get my things back!"

Ron blushed all the way to the tips of his ears. "Right then. Er... what is your name?"

She smiled lightly at him. "Luna Lovegood is the name."

"Luna." he tested the name on his lips. Luna. "I like it."

Luna blushed.

"Well," he grabbed her hand, "let's go!"

Sorry. It's a short chapter, but I promise the next one will be out super soon. So, this is going to be Ron/Luna. I honestly hadn't even thought of continuing this, but thanks to a review by a Guest, it will be! This story will mainly stick with that review, props to whoever wrote it. The review was in Portuguese, but I'll translate it to English down here:

It looks like a very interesting start ... Will it continue? I'd love to read about Ron taking on Ginny and Molly too. Ron tries to magically improve his outfit for the party and then be more motivated and curious about magical studies ... Ron can take Luna and really have fun ... Thank you for the story and excited to read a different possible continuation.

Love y'all! Thanks to those of you who reviewed, and please review this chapter, it means an awful lot to me!
